Large Language Models (LLMs) have demonstrated remarkable performance in code completion. However, due to the lack of domain-specific knowledge, they may not be optimal in completing code that requires intensive domain knowledge for example completing the library names. Although there are several works that have confirmed the effectiveness of fine-tuning techniques to adapt language models for code completion in specific domains. They are limited by the need for constant fine-tuning of the model when the project is in constant *** address this limitation, in this paper, we propose kNM-LM, a retrieval-augmented language model (R-LM), that integrates domain knowledge into language models without fine-tuning. Different from previous techniques, our approach is able to automatically adapt to different language models and domains. Specifically, it utilizes the in-domain code to build the retrieval-based database decoupled from LM, and then combines it with LM through Bayesian inference to complete the code. The extensive experiments on the completion of intra-project and intra-scenario have confirmed that kNM-LM brings about appreciable enhancements when compared to CodeGPT and UnixCoder. A deep analysis of our tool including the responding speed, storage usage, specific type code completion, and API invocation completion has confirmed that kNM-LM provides satisfactory performance, which renders it highly appropriate for domain adaptive code completion. Furthermore, our approach operates without the requirement for direct access to the language model's parameters. As a result, it can seamlessly integrate with black-box code completion models, making it easy to integrate our approach as a plugin to further enhance the performance of these models.

Blockchain technology has piqued the interest of businesses of all types, while consistently improving and adapting to business requirements. Several blockchain platforms have emerged, making it challenging to select a suitable one for a specific type of business. This paper presents a classification of over one hundred blockchain platforms. We develop smart contracts for detecting healthcare insurance frauds using the top two blockchain platforms selected based on our proposed decision-making map approach which selects the top suitable platforms for healthcare insurance frauds detection application. Our classification shows that the largest percentage of platforms can be used for all types of application domains, the second biggest percentage for financial services, and a small number is to develop applications in specific domains. Our decision-making map and performance evaluations reveal that Hyperledger Fabric surpassed Neo in all metrics for detecting healthcare insurance frauds. © 2023 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

Digital forensics is a security research field that has evolved with the advancement of digital technologies, such as computer and network technology. With the emergence of complex forensic environments, such as those found in the IoT and cloud computing, investigators are required to possess higher technical capabilities and knowledge. Completing digital forensics tasks more effectively has become a challenge. Therefore, this paper proposes a blockchain-based collaborative crowdsourcing platform for digital forensics. Through collaborating on the crowdsourcing platform, professional investigators can enhance the supervision of the digital forensics process, reduce the difficulty of digital forensics tasks, and improve their quality. In addition, we introduce blockchain technology to maintain the credibility of the investigation process. We have developed a smart contract and conducted experiments based on Ethereum. The experimental results show that our solution is feasible.

History of code elements is essential for software maintenance tasks. However, code refactoring is one of the main causes that makes obtaining a consistent view on code evolution difficult as renaming or moving source code elements break such history. To this end, this paper presents RAT, a refactoring-aware tool for keeping track of code elements evolution across time, not just in terms of revisions but also in terms of refactoring. This is the first tool that enables fine-grained code element traceability of the whole repository. Empirical evaluation of leveraging our tool in three bug localization techniques relying on code history shows significant improvement in localization accuracy. Based on our findings, we believe that many of the state-of-the-art approaches using past source code data would benefit from our tool. Prior study has developed the RouteSegmentation algorithm to identify the perimeter area surrounding a route. In this study, a comparative experiment was carried out to investigate the performance of the RouteSegmentation algorithm implementation in contrast to the RouteBoxer algorithm. Both algorithms play a crucial role in geographical information systems (GIS), particularly in enhancing navigational tools by identifying points of interest along specified routes. Through systematic experimentation using various perimeter distance values and types of route, the trade-offs between processing efficiency and the granularity of the area identified by these algorithms were evaluated. The results demonstrate that RouteSegmentation maintained relatively consistent performance across different perimeter distance values and statistically significantly faster processing time than RouteBoxer. Furthermore, while the RouteBoxer algorithm benefits from larger perimeter distance values by reducing processing time, it compromises the coverage results of the algorithm and potentially undermines its usefulness in practical scenarios. This study not only provides insights into the optimal use of perimeter distance values for each algorithm but also guides users in selecting the appropriate algorithm based on their specific application needs, balancing detailed geographical analysis and runtime efficiency.

Existing 3D point cloud-based facial recognition struggles to fully leverage both global and local information inherent in the 3D point cloud data. In this paper, we introduce the PointFaceFormer, the first Transformer model designed for 3D point cloud face recognition. It incorporates an attention mechanism based on dot product and cosine functions to construct a similarity Transformer architecture, which effectively extracts both local and global features from the point cloud data. Experimental results demonstrate that PointFaceFormer achieves a recognition accuracy of 89.08% and a verification accuracy of 76.93% on the large-scale facial point cloud dataset Lock3DFace, which is a new state-of-the-art in 3D face recognition. Furthermore, PointFaceFormer exhibits excellent generalization performance on cross-quality datasets. Additionally, we validate the effectiveness of the attention mechanism through ablation experiments, which justify the effectiveness of the proposed modules.

This paper proposes an automatic data extraction algorithm for web pages based on noise reduction and visualization blocks' construction. In this algorithm, we first build an MD5 trigeminal tree of the web page's source files using a Message-Digest Algorithm. And then we arrange some noise reduction. Finally, we construct visualization blocks by an optimized cluster algorithm named BIRCH A-CF which could create an area clustering feature forest and complete the clustering by dynamically changing the circle's radius according to the correction factor. We perform experiments on eight different datasets to compare our method with eight baseline methods. The experimental results show that our approach outperforms current methods by providing more accuracy and robustness, it also accelerates noise reduction and reduces the number of nodes effectively. © 2022 SPIE.

The discovery of protein-protein interaction sites (PPIs) is vital for exploring the principle of PPI and understanding the nature of life activities. Developing computational approaches to predict PPIs can effectively compensate for the shortcomings of biological experiments, which are mostly time-consuming and vulnerable to noise. In recent years, deep learning has been used to develop PPIs prediction models. Most of them consider the contextual information of the target amino acid residues and use a local protein sequence to represent the targets. However, the traditional deep-learning techniques, e.g., deep neural networks (DNNs) and convolutional neural networks (CNNs), disregard the important spatial hierarchies contained in the features of protein sequences, leading to their failure to effectively distinguish the interaction sites from different residue regions. In this work, we design MSE-CapsPPISP, a new deep-learning model to address the PPIs prediction with spatial hierarchies. The key idea of MSE-CapsPPISP is to take into account the hierarchical relationships between the features of protein sequences. We characterize the hierarchical relationships by designing a tailored Capsule Network (CapsNet) model, which is a novel type of neural network with vector neurons. Moreover, to make the network representation more robust, MSE-CapsPPISP uses multi-scale CNNs to extract multi-scale features of protein sequences and Squeeze-and-Excitation blocks to recalibrate the features. The validation results show that our MSE-CapsPPISP outperforms the baseline CNNs-based architecture DeepPPISP and other competing schemes in the PPIs prediction task.

To enhance the generalization of multi-objective feature selection (MOFS) in classification, this paper proposes an evolutionary multitasking algorithm, diverging from previous approaches that exclusively target selected features. The algorithm integrates information from both selected and unselected features, introducing a novel objective to minimize the accuracy of unselected features. This objective, combined with the goal of minimizing classification errors for selected features, forms an auxiliary MOFS task. The paper presents a dual-population evolutionary multitasking framework that synergizes the main MOFS task with the auxiliary task. A knowledge transfer mechanism, based on accuracy preferences, seamlessly shares insights from the auxiliary to the main task, aiming to identify improved Pareto feature subsets. Empirical results demonstrate the superior performance of several state-of-the-art multi-objective algorithms within this framework, highlighting significant improvements across diverse datasets.
