In this paper, a dual-channel converter with a positive output and negative voltage output is proposed. It integrates a positive voltage output converter and a negative voltage output converter, and shares the same switches. The number of active components can be reduced. In addition, the circuit can achieve dual output voltage control with a single controller and PWM drive signal by appropriately designing the ratio of the number of windings of the coupling inductor. A regulated positive voltage output and negative voltage output can be achieved.

An intelligent and self-sufficient robot is essential across a wide range of fields, including transportation, industry, space exploration, and defense. Mobile robots possess the capability to undertake diverse tasks such as handling materials, aiding in disaster scenarios, conducting patrols, and executing rescue operations. As a result, the development of an autonomous robot that can navigate through both unchanging and ever-changing surroundings has become important. The primary objective of mobile robot navigation revolves around ensuring the seamless and secure traversal of the robot through complex environments, starting from an initial position, and reaching a designated goal position. This paper presents the design and implementation of a Jetson Nano powered robot car which uses local sensors to interact with an unknown environment. Object following, obstacle avoidance, and wall following features are built for the car to navigate to reach its desired destinations.

Twenty years of e-learning in health science: A bibliometric

Education about health sciences has historically been limited in the curriculum of health professionals and largely inaccessible to the public. In practice, most of the health science education is still running conventionally. Supposedly with the advancement of technology and the use of the internet everywhere, learning such as e-learning can be important, especially in the health sector. Until this research was conducted, only 514 academic documents about e-learning in health sciences were found for 20 years from 2001 to 2020, obtained in searching on the Scopus database. This study presents a comprehensive overview of studies related to E-learning in the Health Sciences sector. This study uses bibliometric analysis and indexed digital methods to map scientific publications throughout the world. This research employs the Scopus database to gather information, as well as the Scopus online analysis tool and Vosviewer to show the bibliometric network. The method consists with five stages: determining search keywords, initial search results, refinement of search results, initial compilation, and data analysis. Among the most published and indexed articles by Scopus, papers published by researchers in the United States have the highest number of publications (80), followed by United Kingdom (63) and Australia with 45 academic publications. The processed data shows the pattern and trend of increasing the number of international publications in E-learning in Health Sciences field, which Scopus index.

We present a high-accuracy 3D facial reconstruction system with the following features: real-time 3D facial reconstruction using exposure synchronization multi-camera, feature alignment to quantify facial differences, a software system based on a naked eye 3D display, and medical records for a 3D face database. The proposed system is novel and practical, and the algorithm and the hardware/software architecture improve the current non-quantitative communication status in medical aesthetics. The system achieves preoperative expectations, real-time recording and feedback during surgery, and postoperative tracking analysis, thus making doctor-patient communication more efficient. The facial data database records personal and quantitative beauty data and its changes, providing accurate medical and aesthetic treatment analysis for individuals. In addition, the collected data of different genders, ages, injection sites, and dosages contribute to the development of more accurate medical materials. With artificial intelligence and cloud architecture, we provide reliable data for medical aesthetics customers, helping them understand their medical aesthetic needs. Doctors also provide stable medical care quality to consumers through cloud data, and medical aesthetic consultants do not need to exaggerate medical effects excessively. They can inform customers of specific differences before and after surgery through precise data and provide visual communication and customer expansion to improve consultation conversion rates.

In the era of the global village, frequent cross-border trade in goods has made container transportation a significant part in delivery of cargo. However, rollover accidents of container trucks often occur because of tall truck height, improper cargo stowage or crooked roads. Therefore, how to find the optimal center of gravity (CG) of the packed cargo remains an issue that the transportation industry should not neglect. To optimize cargo stability and reduce the incidence of rollovers, this paper proposes a genetic algorithm that scores the cargo stacking process to find the best CG of the cargo based on the CG of the vehicle. According to the deviation angle and the point closest to the best CG, we can Figure out the optimal cargo stacking method. © 2022 IEEE.

Humans rely increasingly on sensors to address grand challenges and to improve quality of life in the era of digitalization and big data. For ubiquitous sensing, flexible sensors are developed to overcome the limitations of conventional rigid counterparts. Despite rapid advancement in bench-side research over the last decade, the market adoption of flexible sensors remains limited. To ease and to expedite their deployment, here, we identify bottlenecks hindering the maturation of flexible sensors and propose promising solutions. We first analyze continued...challenges in achieving satisfactory sensing performance for real-world applications and then summarize issues in compatible sensor-biology interfaces, followed by brief discussions on powering and connecting sensor networks. Issues en route to commercialization and for sustainable growth of the sector are also analyzed, highlighting environmental concerns and emphasizing nontechnical issues such as business, regulatory, and ethical considerations. Additionally, we look at future intelligent flexible sensors. In proposing a comprehensive roadmap, we hope to steer research efforts towards common goals and to guide coordinated development strategies from disparate communities. Through such collaborative

In the intricate domain of software systems verification, dynamically model checking multifaceted system characteristics remains paramount, yet challenging. This research proposes the advanced observe-based statistical model-checking (OSM) framework, devised to craft executable formal models directly from foundational system code. Leveraging model checking predicates, the framework melds seamlessly with aspect-oriented programming paradigms, yielding a potent method for the analytical verification of varied behavioral attributes. Exploiting the transformative capacity of OSM framework, primary system code undergoes a systematic metamorphosis into multifaceted analysis constructs. This not only simplifies the model verification process but also orchestrates feature interactions using an innovative observing join point abstraction mechanism. Within this framework, components encompassing parsing, formal verification, computational analytics, and rigorous validation are intrinsically interwoven. Marrying the principles of model checking with aspect-oriented (AO) modularization, OSM framework stands as a paragon, proficiently scrutinizing and affirming system specifications. This ensures the unyielding performance of electronic health record systems amidst shifting preconditions. OSM framework offers runtime verification of both object-oriented and AO deployments, positioning itself as an indispensable open-source resource, poised to automate the enhancement of system performance and scalability. This study develops an adaptive handover strategy in 5G networks to tackle high mobility challenges and improve service continuity and quality. The research method uses a 5G network emulator with a topology of four base stations (gNBs) to test user equipment (UE) speeds of 20 km/h and 130 km/h. The adaptive algorithm developed utilizes data from the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) as well as the speed and direction of user mobility to make optimal handover decisions. The results show that at a speed of 130 km/h, the average handover latency reaches 12 ms, compared to 8 ms at 80 km/h. Additionally, the signal quality (RSSI) is lower at higher speeds, negatively affecting service quality. This adaptive algorithm successfully reduces handover latency and improves the stability and efficiency of the overall network. The testing also indicates that this adaptive algorithm can predict handover targets by considering UE speed and direction and uses hysteresis mechanisms to prevent overly frequent handovers. By employing technologies such as Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) and beamforming, this strategy is expected to maintain high service quality even under high mobility conditions.

Analysis of the Brazilian Climate Data Influence on Soybean Pricing by Using Long Short-Term Memory Models

This work uses machine learning to verify whether the Brazilian climate influences international soybean price prediction. For this, climatic data, dollar quotes, inflation, and annual soybean production were collected from different data sources. Then, the collected data were pre-processed and grouped by Brazilian state. Afterward, data from the five most productive Brazilian states are chosen, such as Mato Grosso (MT), Mato Grosso do Sul (MS), Goiás (GO), Paraná (PR), and Rio Grande do Sul (RS). Afterward, predictive models are built using the long short-term memory (LSTM) method, which is applied in each chosen state dataset considering two different settings: with and without climatic data. Thus, two models were built for each Brazilian state, totaling ten predictors. In the experimental evaluation, when trained with climatic data, the PR model achieved the lowest values of root mean squared error (RMSE) and mean absolute error (MAE). Regarding predictors trained without climate data, the RS and PR obtained the lowest values of RMSE and MAE, respectively. After conducting statistical hypothesis tests, no significant difference was found among models, stating, with 95% certainty, that, in this study, the Brazilian climatic data did not influence the model performance for predicting soybean prices. On the other hand, one of the main contributions of work is conducting an unprecedented study about soybean price prediction using Brazilian climatic data. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.
