Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a type of dementia that leads to memory loss and impairment, which afects patients’ lives badly. It is not curable yet, but its progression can be slowed down if detected at earlier stages. In this research study, we propose a transfer learning-based convolutional neural network (CNN) model to classify magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) into one of four stages of Alzheimer's disease. One of the major limitations of the deep learning-based classification model is the non-availability of healthcare datasets related to AD. The widely used Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) dataset has a major class imbalance issue. We propose a generative adversarial network (GAN) based data augmentation technique to overcome the data imbalance. This promotes the investigation of applying GANs to generate synthetic samples for minority classes in Alzheimer's disease datasets to enhance classification performance. The results show the progression in the overall classification process of AD.

Many data-driven patient risk stratification models have not been evaluated prospectively. We performed and compared the prospective and retrospective evaluations of 2 Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI) risk-prediction models at 2 large academic health centers, and we discuss the models’ robustness to data-set shifts.

Cancer remains a significant global health challenge, with the Cell Division Cycle 7 (CDC7) protein emerging as a potential therapeutic target due to its critical role in tumor proliferation, survival, and resistance. However, a comprehensive analysis of CDC7 across multiple cancers is lacking, and existing therapeutic options have come with limited clinical success. The aim of this is to integrate a comprehensive pan-cancer analysis of CDC7 with the identification of novel marine-derived inhibitors, bridging the understanding of CDC7's role as a prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target across diverse cancer types. In this study, we conducted a pan-cancer analysis of CDC7 across 33 tumor types using publicly available datasets to evaluate its expression, genetic alterations, immune interactions, survival, and prognostic significance. Additionally, a marine-derived compound library of 31,492 molecules was screened to identify potential CDC7 inhibitors using chemoinformatics and machine learning. The top candidates underwent rigorous evaluations, including molecular docking, pharmacokinetics, toxicity, Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations, and Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations. The findings revealed that CDC7 is overexpressed in several cancers and is associated with poor survival outcomes and unfavorable prognosis. Enrichment analysis linked CDC7 to critical DNA replication pathways, while its role in modulating tumor-immune interactions highlighted its potential as a target for immunotherapy. Among all tested compounds, Tetrahydroaltersolanol D (CMNPD21999) exhibited the strongest binding affinity and stability, along with better drug-likeness and zero toxicity. These attributes highlight its potential as a promising drug candidate for CDC7 inhibition and future cancer treatment development. Furthermore, additional in vitro and in vivo studies are required to confirm the effectiveness of this drug candidate against the CDC7 protein. © 2025

Multi-granularity Interaction Simulation for Unsupervised Interactive Segmentation

Interactive segmentation enables users to segment as needed by providing cues of objects, which introduces human-computer interaction for many fields, such as image editing and medical image analysis. Typically, massive and expansive pixel-level annotations are spent to train deep models by object-oriented interactions with manually labeled object masks. In this work, we reveal that informative interactions can be made by simulation with semantic-consistent yet diverse region exploration in an unsupervised paradigm. Concretely, we introduce a Multi-granularity Interaction Simulation (MIS) approach to open up a promising direction for unsupervised interactive segmentation. Drawing on the high-quality dense features produced by recent self-supervised models, we propose to gradually merge patches or regions with similar features to form more extensive regions and thus, every merged region serves as a semantic-meaningful multi-granularity proposal. By randomly sampling these proposals and simulating possible interactions based on them, we provide meaningful interaction at multiple granularities to teach the model to understand interactions. Our MIS significantly outperforms non-deep learning unsupervised methods and is even comparable with some previous deep-supervised methods without any annotation. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. Indonesia had been suffered by earthquake and tsunami for many centuries. Since many lives have taken by tsunami strikes, alert and response system are very important as important part of Disaster Risk Reduction, especially in area with high population density. This research conducted in Kangkung fishing village in Bandar Lampung coastal area which is an earthquake and tsunami prone area. The aim of the research is to study alert and response of Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction. The research conducted by qualitative method and purposive-descriptive approach. There were 53 respondents which participated in the survey and interview. It is reported that "Smart Resilient City"model suitable for community needs of alert and response of earthquake and tsunami disaster. This research meets conclusion that "Smart Resilient City"model may become a great solution in Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction to cope with the hazard of earthquake and tsunami comprehensively and sustainably. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

It is essential to develop an efficient Client Relationship Model in order to make use of the estimations about customer turnover (CRM). Finding and breaking down the facts surrounding the business information understanding is necessary for client produce prediction, which should be made possible effectively by altering the strategies used for business insight. The tools that are provided by company insight allow for the historical, current, and prospective perspectives of business activity to be anticipated and dissected. It is possible to deal with it in an efficient way by providing the information mining approaches that choose the data from the created informative index that is the most helpful. Fundamental leadership should be possible to achieve in a fruitful way if one has this information. The actions that consumers have taken in the recent past are going to be analyzed, and an accurate forecast is going to be formed about those customers who are likely going to get unhappy in the near future based on the results of that prediction. The problem is that deciding on a certain period to investigate the client's activities and also establishing on a specific day and age for each of the clients won't be appropriate6. This is due to the fact that the problem is caused by the fact that deciding on a certain period to investigate the client's activities will take too long. The challenge lies just in this aspect. How to decide on a certain amount of time to spend researching the activities of the customer. For instance, when planning a model, 100 customers are used, 70 of those customers are considered “active,” which indicates that they are still conducting business with the organisation, and the remaining 30 customers are considered “agitate,” which indicates that they have severed their ties with the organisation. This research is an approach to intelligent vehicles with a LoRa communication system, LoRaWAN compatible for Long-Range and Outdoor Communication, but in this paper, we will test the ability of LoRa to handle autonomous vehicles, a Blind-Adaptive Data method will be tried on vehicles systems. The system offered is when the vehicle is running, the sensor will send position data in real-time, the number of vehicles is four, and GPS data is sent alternately using the Blind Adaptive Data Rate principle to avoid data collisions, and when the GPS shows a certain position, the value of SF is ascertained, which affects the data rate and ToA, and the output given is RSSI on each car, speed of a car, power consumption of sensor nodes, signal power, SNR, Bit rate or data rate, and sensitivity. With the Blind ADR principle, it is ensured that there is no data collision between car position data that causes packet loss.

Drying has been an eco-friendly and cost-efficient method to reduce post-harvest losses of agricultural crops. In various countries, the technique has been widely utilized in the form of Solar Dryer Dome (SDD) buildings. Accurate indoor microclimate forecasting is very important to implement smart control systems in SDDs that can maintain the ideal conditions, as the availability of solar energy is limited only at daytimes and the temperature may drop significantly during nighttimes in remote areas. The conventional etching method for exfoliating MXene using hydrofluoric acid solution is time-consuming and inefficient in productivity. A double layer force is generated through polarization among the heterogeneous layers of MXene due to their different dielectric properties. The exfoliated MXene by the polarization method in an acidic solution was employed to synthesize magnetic MXene (MXFe) with Fe3O4 nanoparticles. MXFe was coated on polyacrylonitrile microspheres (PANs) as precursors (PAN@MXFe) by Pickering emulsion polymerization. The core@shell polyvinyltetrazole@MXFe (PVT@MXFe) was obtained as the adsorbent after subsequent cyano-tetrazole conversion of PAN@MFs for the removal of toxic metal ions. The maximum adsorption capacities of Hg(II) on the MXFe and PVT@MXFe coating 2 wt% of MXFe were 579 and 324 mg/g, respectively, indicating the high use efficiency of MXFe. At 8.5 kHz of high frequency, hyperthermia occurs on the PVT@MXFe, facilitating the desorption of the toxic metal ions from the adsorbents. Compared with reuse using an acidic solution, the PVT@MXFe can be reused repeatedly 10 times without obvious damage under the AMF. Our proposed polarization exfoliation method not only provides a novel methodology to exfoliate MXene but also develops an ideal adsorbent for universal adsorption, simple separation, stable regeneration, and low secondary pollution. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.
