We put forward an approach for automated skeleton rigging of 3D point cloud models of segmented characters. Unlike earlier systems that fit predetermined skeleton templates or forecast predetermined sets of joints, our approach generates an animation skeleton that is tuned to the structure and geometry of the input 3D model. Our architecture is built on a stack of hourglass models trained using a large dataset of 3D-rigged characters mined from the web. It works with a volumetric representation of the input 3D shapes enhanced with geometric shape elements that provide different indications for joint and bone positions. The proposed method also allows straightforward user customization of the output skeleton’s level of detail. Our study shows that, compared to many alternatives and baselines, our approach predicts animation skeletons that are significantly more comparable to those made by people.

Colon cancer, along with lung, prostate, and breast cancer, is one of the most common types of cancer globally and is regarded as one of the world’s leading causes of death. In therapy for this common illness, substantial progress has been achieved recently. Adjuvant chemotherapy is effective, specifically in stage III patients, and surgery was tailored for the most outstanding results with the least amount of morbidity. Several novel target-oriented medications are being evaluated, and some of them (cetuximab and bevacizumab, for example) have already shown high activity/efficacy, primarily when used in conjunction with chemotherapy. To get the best results, it is necessary to provide current recommendations for treating these patients in medical trials and daily practices. This research seeks to use a person’s gene expression to determine whether or not they have colon cancer. This information is used by the Logistic Regression, Naive–Bayes Algorithm and Catboost Algorithm to predict human colon cancer. The learning classification dataset included 7457 gene expression levels from 36 patients, 18 of whom were healthy and 18 of whom were malignant.

Physical activity is a cornerstone of health for older adults. Recent evidence underscores that even regular light activity, such as routine walking, offers substantial health benefits. Traditional approaches to promoting walking often overlook the importance of the local neighbourhood environment and the wide range of abilities and preferences of older adults. A personalised walking intervention – emphasizing personal preferences and local facilitators by employing Geographic information System (GIS)-based methods for communication and goal setting – might help to overcome problems of low long-term adherence to walking interventions. The MOBITEC-Routes trial aims to assess the effects of personalised, GIS-based walking promotion – versus general information on determinants of health – for mobility-limited and chronically ill older adults on walking (primary outcome) immediately after the 15-week intervention period (primary endpoint) and after another 8 months of follow-up (secondary endpoint). This prospective, two-arm, single centre randomised controlled trial targets sedentary, mobility-limited, chronically ill, and community-living older adults aged 65 + (target N = 130). Outcomes are assessed after 15 weeks of intervention and after an additional 8 months of follow-up. The experimental intervention offers personalised promotion of habitual walking, delivered by an exercise professional in face-to-face and telephone sessions. Opportunities to increase leisure as well as utilitarian walking are identified by using interactive digital maps, personalised walking routes are co-created by the exercise professional and the participant, and a personalised activity plan is developed.
