In this study, we provide mathematical and practice-driven justification for using [0, 1] normalization of inconsistency indicators in pairwise comparisons. The goal of capstone project is to train students to be able to apply the required knowledge and skill to collaboratively complete the assigned work. The project-based learning (PBL) is a popular strategy used by teachers to guide students to organize teams to solve problem collaboratively and to enhance students' creative and problem solving abilities in capstone project. However, the traditional PBL strategy cannot effectively enhance the students' abilities because the previous good cases cannot be easily shared and reused. Therefore, our idea is to develop a good platform to be able to share and reuse the cases together with portfolios to motivate student's imaginative power and creativity and the teachers can easily assess the students' learning achievements. Because Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) techniques consisting of cases retrieve, reuse, revise and retain can be used to model the computer reasoning, we develop a project-based learning platform using the CBR techniques to provide the case scaffoldings and reserve the learning portfolio. We further design an experiment based upon our learning platform to complete the e-book visual creative design. The experimental result shows that the given appropriate learning scaffoldings can guide students to improve the creative and problem solving abilities.

Prior work by Pignolet et al. shows a new attacking methodology with which the attackers can disclose the whole cloud topology while deploying virtual networks in cloud, named "Topology Disclosure Attack". However, we discover some unreasonable attack assumptions in their model and this paper tries to develop a data structure, Query-Trie, providing topology disclosure attack a useful attack instruction. This new data structure not only enumerates all possible VNet request systematically but also provides efficient attack guideline. Hence, this Query Trie enables much more possible attack model in cloud in the future.

A search is presented for the pair production of heavy vector-like B quarks, primarily targeting B quark decays into a W boson and a top quark. The search is based on 36.1 fb−1 of pp collisions at √s = 13 TeV recorded in 2015 and 2016 with the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. Data are analysed in the lepton-plus-jets final state, characterised by a high-transverse-momentum isolated electron or muon, large missing transverse momentum, and multiple jets, of which at least one is b-tagged. No significant deviation from the Standard Model expectation is observed. The 95% confidence level lower limit on the B mass is 1350 GeV assuming a 100% branching ratio to Wt. In the SU(2) singlet scenario, the lower mass limit is 1170 GeV. This search is also sensitive to a heavy vector-like B quark decaying into other final states (Zb and Hb) and thus mass limits on B production are set as a function of the decay branching ratios. The 100% branching ratio limits are found to be also applicable to heavy vector-like X production, with charge +5/3, that decay into Wt. Copyright © 2018, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In order to solve mechanics problems, force finding on the objects of the problem is an indispensable step. Also, this step is often difficult for beginners. Therefore, there are several researches proposed supporting method for learners in this step. Error-Based Simulation (EBS) is one of the support methods. In this research, we have experimentally evaluated EBS for a dynamics problems which an object has a velocity at a junior high school. As a result, we have confirmed that EBS is promising method to support force finding correctly.

Jet substructure observables have significantly extended the search program for physics beyond the standard model at the Large Hadron Collider. The state-of-the-art tools have been motivated by theoretical calculations, but there has never been a direct comparison between data and calculations of jet substructure observables that are accurate beyond leading-logarithm approximation. Such observables are significant not only for probing the collinear regime of QCD that is largely unexplored at a hadron collider, but also for improving the understanding of jet substructure properties that are used in many studies at the Large Hadron Collider. This Letter documents a measurement of the first jet substructure quantity at a hadron collider to be calculated at next-to-next-to-leading-logarithm accuracy. The normalized, differential cross section is measured as a function of log10ρ2, where ρ is the ratio of the soft-drop mass to the ungroomed jet transverse momentum. This quantity is measured in dijet events from 32.9 fb−1 of s=13 TeV proton-proton collisions recorded by the ATLAS detector. The data are unfolded to correct for detector effects and compared to precise QCD calculations and leading-logarithm particle-level Monte Carlo simulations.
