The vast majority of the software developers use the agile framework for project management. Agile approach provides more flexibility and adaption to the changes against classic software development approach. The key methodology of agile approach represents the scrum. The core of scrum management forms sprint, which represents a time shift activity and envelops all other events of scrum. The outcome of the sprint should be the increment in development of the project, which is possible to submit to the customers or the users. The paper maps the possibilities of visualization of the course of individual sprints at everyday meetings of the research team (stand up meetings), which have a decisive influence on the quality of communication of the research team and the overall success of the project. © 2019 VSB-Technical University of Ostrava. In this article, we provide an extensive overview of a wide range of quantum games and interactive tools that have been employed by the community in recent years. The paper presents selected tools, as described by their developers. The list includes Hello Quantum, Hello Qiskit, Particle in a Box, Psi and Delta, QPlayLearn, Virtual Lab by Quantum Flytrap, Quantum Odyssey, ScienceAtHome, and The Virtual Quantum Optics Laboratory. Additionally, we present events for quantum game development: hackathons, game jams, and semester projects. Furthermore, we discuss the Quantum Technologies Education for Everyone (QUTE4E) pilot project, which illustrates an effective integration of these interactive tools with quantum outreach and education activities. Finally, we aim at providing guidelines for incorporating quantum games and interactive tools in pedagogic materials to make quantum technologies more accessible for a wider population. The article discusses the problems of personal data and information protection from intruders as well as methods of authentication and identification in corporate networks. Various methods of authentication and identification in computer networks are presented. Their comparative analysis is carried out, the features and disadvantages in various areas of use are highlighted, risks and possible damage from violation of data confidentiality are analyzed. The magnitude of violations of confidentiality, availability and integrity of information is growing every year, at the same time, the caused damage is growing. This situation makes it necessary for information security specialists to analyze all the risks of illegal access to information more and more thoroughly, and then resort to the introduction of modern means authentication, use new encryption methods, increasingly generate new passwords to access the system. Today, there are many ways and methods of authentication, but the specific of their application depends on the location of the information storage and its value. Meanwhile, authentication methods are not perfect protection methods, they are also vulnerable and here the situation is mostly depends on the skills of the attackers. In addition, the article discusses the problems of information security threats to flash drives, analyzes the FAT32 and NTFS file systems of flash drives as well as their vulnerabilities to malicious programs. The features of the algorithm of virus action on flash drives are highlighted. Today, there are many ways and methods of flash drives protection, but the specifics of their use depends on the location of the information storage and its value.

Exact bounds for dynamical critical exponents of transverse-field Ising chains with a correlated disorder

This study investigates the dynamical critical exponent of disordered Ising chains under transverse fields to examine the effect of a correlated disorder on quantum phase transitions. The correlated disorder, where the on-site transverse field depends on the nearest-neighbor coupling strengths connecting the site, gives a qualitatively different result from the uncorrelated disorder. In the uncorrelated disorder cases where the transverse field is either homogeneous over sites or random independently of the nearest-neighbor coupling strengths, the dynamical critical exponent is infinite. In contrast, in the presence of the correlated disorder, we analytically show that the dynamical critical exponent is finite. We also show that the dynamical critical exponent depends on the tuning process of the transverse field strengths. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

A search for a heavy CP-odd Higgs boson, A, decaying into a Z boson and a heavy CP-even Higgs boson, H, is presented. It uses the full LHC Run 2 dataset of pp collisions at s = 13 TeV collected with the ATLAS detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb⁻¹. The search for A → ZH is performed in the ℓ⁺ℓ⁻tt¯ and νν¯bb¯ final states and surpasses the reach of previous searches in different final states in the region with m_H > 350 GeV and m_A > 800 GeV. No significant deviation from the Standard Model expectation is found. Upper limits are placed on the production cross-section times the decay branching ratios. Limits with less model dependence are also presented as functions of the reconstructed m(tt¯) and m(bb¯) distributions in the ℓ⁺ℓ⁻tt¯ and νν¯bb¯ channels, respectively. In addition, the results are interpreted in the context of two-Higgs-doublet models. © The Author(s) 2024.

This study intends to present the systematic design procedure of stabilizing fractional order proportional integral controllers for first order plus time delay (FOPTD) plants via the stability boundary locus (SBL) method. Proposed method gives generalized computation equations for tuning related controllers within desired frequency ranges. Besides, equations to compute the real root boundary (RRB) of the SBL are presented. In spite of the classical design technique, this paper proposes to find the starting and ending points and the stability region of the stability boundary of the system by heuristic approach. This method ensures the stability by analytically obtained formulas instead of testing the regions of the SBL with arbitrary selected points. This proves the advantage and the contribution of the proposed procedure. Obtained equations are applied on examples and the results are illustratively given. Comparisons with the literature showed the effectiveness of the proposal. © 2018 IEEE.

Based on a recently developed theory, we propose a realization of a single-input single-output (SISO) quantum reservoir computer on a near-term quantum computer for approximating SISO fading memory maps. Such a quantum reservoir computer can be of interest for applications such as nonlinear system identification and nonlinear signal processing (e.g., speech processing), opening an avenue for early control-oriented applications of near-term quantum computers. We detail an implementation of the quantum reservoir computer on a cloud-based 20 qubit IBM quantum computer and report on simulation results for the proposed scheme on an IBM Qiskit quantum computer simulator for this machine.

This paper presents a search for a new Z′ resonance decaying into a pair of dark quarks which hadronise into dark hadrons before promptly decaying back as Standard Model particles. This analysis is based on proton-proton collision data recorded at s = 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider between 2015 and 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb⁻¹. After selecting events containing large-radius jets with high track multiplicity, the invariant mass distribution of the two highest-transverse-momentum jets is scanned to look for an excess above a data-driven estimate of the Standard Model multijet background. No significant excess of events is observed and the results are thus used to set 95% confidence-level upper limits on the production cross-section times branching ratio of the Z′ to dark quarks as a function of the Z′ mass for various dark-quark scenarios. © The Author(s) 2024.
