In this paper novel linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) are provided for checking the exponential stability of continuous-time linear switching systems. Novelty arises from the possibility of efficiently addressing, by these LMIs, constraints in switching as described by a switches digraph and dwell-time ranges for each mode, which are allowed to be non-uniform. Switches digraphs and dwell-time ranges may allow stability even in case of unstable subsystems in the family. The provided LMIs give the chance to show stability in this rather generally and naturally constrained case. The results provided in this paper are the continuous-time counterpart of analogous ones recently obtained for the linear discrete-time case. The utility of provided LMIs is shown with two numerical examples concerning controller failures. © 2024 IEEE.

The effects of solid solution on the deformation behavior of binary Mg-xZn(x=0,1,2 wt%)alloys featuring a designated texture that enables extension twinning under tension parallel to the basal pole in most grains,were investigated using in-situ neutron diffraction and the EVPSC-TDT *** diffraction was used to quantitatively track grain-level lattice strains and diffraction intensity changes(related to mechanical twinning)in differently oriented grains of each alloy during cyclic tensile/compressive *** measurements were accurately captured by the *** stress-strain curves of Mg-1 wt%Zn and Mg-2 wt%Zn alloys show as-expected solid solution strengthening from the addition of Zn compared to pure *** macroscopic yielding and hardening behaviors are explained by alternating slip and twinning modes as calculated by the *** solid solution's influence on individual deformation modes,including basal〈a〉slip,prismatic〈a〉slip,and extension twinning,was then quantitatively assessed in terms of activity,yielding behavior,and hardening response by combining neutron diffraction results with crystal plasticity *** Mg-1 wt%Zn alloy displays distinct yielding and hardening behavior due to solid solution softening of prismatic〈a〉***,the dependence of extension twinning,in terms of the twinning volume fraction,on Zn content exhibits opposite trends under tensile and compressive loadings.

Currently in the Russian Federation the state actively supports IT companies that are engaged in research and development work (R&D) as part of the implementation of the state program to create a digital economy. One of the forms of state support for IT companies is the provision of tax benefits to them. In this regard a very important process of verifying the validity of the provision of tax benefits is the examination of scientific and technical documentation provided by IT companies to the tax authorities. The paper considers the issues of creating a support system for conducting scientific and technical examinations of materials submitted by IT companies to confirm the correctness of classifying the work performed as R&D. In this article, we offer the specialized software named Support System which allows taxpayers to provide information about completed R&D projects in a checklist format in a declarative manner. Criteria for compliance of implemented IT projects with R&D projects are defined. The reporting documentation undergoes a multi-stage check in accordance with the developed algorithms for loading and analyzing text materials for compliance with the established criteria. The adequacy of used algorithms is confirmed by the results of computer simulation. The developed prototype of the support system for conducting scientific and technical examinations is planned to be introduced into the activities of tax inspections. © 2023 IEEE.

Golden eagle optimizer(GEO)is a recently introduced nature-inspired metaheuristic algorithm,which simulates the spiral hunting behavior of golden eagles in ***,the GEO suffers from the challenges of low diversity,slow iteration speed,and stagnation in local optimization when dealing with complicated optimization *** ameliorate these deficiencies,an improved hybrid GEO called IGEO,combined with Lévy flight,sine cosine algorithm and differential evolution(DE)strategy,is developed in this *** Lévy flight strategy is introduced into the initial stage to increase the diversity of the golden eagle population and make the initial population more abundant;meanwhile,the sine-cosine function can enhance the exploration ability of GEO and decrease the possibility of GEO falling into the local ***,the DE strategy is used in the exploration and exploitation stage to improve accuracy and convergence speed of ***,the superiority of the presented IGEO are comprehensively verified by comparing GEO and several state-of-the-art algorithms using(1)the CEC 2017 and CEC 2019 benchmark functions and(2)5 real-world engineering problems *** comparison results demonstrate that the proposed IGEO is a powerful and attractive alternative for solving engineering optimization problems.

research on flow and heat transfer of hybrid nanofluids has gained great significance due to their efficient heat transfer *** fact,hybrid nanofluids are a novel type of fluid designed to enhance heat transfer rate and have a wide range of engineering and industrial *** by this evolution,a theoretical analysis is performed to explore the flow and heat transport characteristics of Cu/Al_(2)O_(3) hybrid nanofluids driven by a stretching/shrinking ***,this work focuses on the physical impacts of thermal stratification as well as thermal radiation during hybrid nanofluid flow in the presence of a velocity slip *** mathematical modelling incorporates the basic conservation laws and Boussinesq *** formulation gives a system of governing partial differential equations which are later reduced into ordinary differential equations via dimensionless *** efficient numerical solver,known as bvp4c in MATLAB,is utilized to acquire multiple(upper and lower)numerical solutions in the case of shrinking *** computed results are presented in the form of flow and temperature *** most significant findings acquired from the current study suggest that multiple solutions exist only in the case of a shrinking surface until a critical/turning ***,solutions are unavailable beyond this turning point,indicating flow *** is found that the fluid temperature has been impressively enhanced by a higher nanoparticle volume fraction for both *** the other hand,the outcomes disclose that the wall shear stress is reduced with higher magnetic field in the case of the second *** simulation outcomes are in excellent agreement with earlier research,with a relative error of less than 1%.

Powering Internet of Things (IoT) devices in hard to reach or hazardous locations could be prohibitive in terms of cost and safety. In this work, we demonstrate a thorough solution that tackles this problem using a network of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with wireless power transfer (WPT) capabilities. Given the large-scale IoT deployments of the future and the energy needs of the UAVs, we consider an infrastructure of charging stations for the UAVs that allow an uninterrupted and flexible UAV deployment based on the current energy needs of the IoT devices. Then, we exhibit an orchestrator that communicates with the entire infrastructure and handles the UAV traffic and energy decisions, as well as the digital representation and interaction of the network with the user. © 2023 IEEE.

This article is conducted with the primary aim of comparing various forecasting models to identify the optimal model for forecasting the growth of the life insurance industry in Thailand. The models under consideration include the SARIMAX model, the Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), and a hybrid model introduced as RNN-SARIMAX. The dataset utilized for this investigation is extensive, consisting of monthly direct premium data from the Thai life insurance sector spanning January 2003 to December 2022. The dataset is segregated into two distinct segments. Initially, data from January 2003 to December 2021 is employed for constructing the forecasting model. Subsequently, data from January 2022 to December 2022 is utilized for a comparative analysis of the forecasting models, to determine the most suitable and accurate model for predicting the growth of the life insurance industry in Thailand. The evaluation criteria for comparing models include the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and the Coefficient of Determination (R-squared). The consistent findings from our analysis indicate that the SARIMAX model consistently outperforms both the RNN and RNN-SARIMAX models. © 2024 IEEE.

The aim of educational innovation is to foster students' creative and problem-solving skills via the integration of several disciplines, including science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Efficiently identifying and fostering the various abilities of pupils continues to be a crucial obstacle. This research presents a sophisticated educational approach that combines the notion of multiple intelligences with artificial intelligence (AI) technology to tackle this problem. This concept improves the teaching environment by including intelligent auxiliary services for instructors and students via the use of smart speech and picture interaction. Artificial intelligence (AI) integrated into the multiple intelligence's framework enables the ability to observe, analyze, and implement personalized teaching tactics in real-time using machine learning. The suggested AI-assisted education paradigm aims to enhance teacher-student interactions and facilitate personalized instruction. The study provides evidence that this technique successfully facilitates personalized and captivating learning experiences, promoting students' diverse talents and augmenting their creativity and problem-solving capabilities. This approach seeks to fundamentally transform conventional educational techniques by addressing the disparity between existing educational practices and the future requirements of the workforce. © 2024 IEEE.

This article aims to compare forecasting techniques with machine learning techniques for predicting the number of people injured in road accidents using data from the Injury Information Collaboration Center, department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health Outpatient Files (OPD) spanning the years 2018 to 2022. The four machine-learning techniques examined in this study include Decision Tree Regression, Random Forest Regression, Support Vector Regression, and Multiple Linear Regression. The data analysis was performed using the R programming language. The results revealed that the Decision Tree Regression technique yielded the most accurate predictions for the number of road traffic injuries, as evidenced by its lowest values of MAE, MSE, and RMSE. © 2024 IEEE.
