Diabetes is a metabolic disease that affects a large number of the global population and is incurable. The primary causes of death symptoms are kidney failure, heart attacks, strokes, and blindness. In this paper Principal component analysis used for pre-processing the data to extract features and The Efficient Hybrid Machine Learning Model Convolution Neural Network-Support Vector Machine is used to categorize the Pima Indian dataset. CNN and non-linear SVM used in a hybrid model to classify the diabetes data from the Pima Indians. To identify positive classes of pima Indians diabetes, the HCNN-SVM extract the features from the original data expression and learns diabetes data through a novel convolution network environment to the SVM classifier with RBF function and achieve the accuracy as 98,04%. © 2024 IEEE.

Underwater communications are playing a major role in recent times as underwater happenings have gained interest. Especially in scenarios based on natural calamities like tsunamis, pollution detection, and surveillance, underwater communications are indispensable. Parameters like battery life span and capabilities of sensor nodes play a vital role in the underwater environment. QoS has to be taken care of in underwater communication. Congestion avoidance helps in using energy efficiently in underwater communication. Simulation results prove that this algorithm overcomes the drawback of a normal backpressure-based, static priority algorithm where packet loss, delay, the energy of nodes, and routing overhead are reduced overall, and packet delivery ratio and throughput are increased in special cases of real-time important packets. As underwater nodes are battery-operated, it is essential to have energy-efficient scheduling algorithm. The proposed algorithm solves the drawback of the backpressure algorithm by having energy-efficient queue length stabilizer (QLS) technique, where the backlog is adjusted such that no queues are affected and the energy consumption is less. And real-time packets are treated effectively such that real-time applications can be supported using this scheduling algorithm. The novelty of the proposed method is congestion control methodology with active priority and energy efficiency for an underwater network for effective scheduling of packets where queue backlog size is also adjusted virtually based on energy. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

The fundamental advantages of carbon-based graphene material,such as its high tunnelling probability,symmetric band structure(linear dependence of the energy band on the wave direction),low effective mass,and characteristics of its 2D atomic layers,are the main focus of this research *** impact of channel thickness,gate under-lap,asymmetric source/drain doping method,workfunction of gate contact,and High-K material on Graphene-based Tunnel Field Effect Transistor(TFET)is analyzed with 20 nm *** modelling and electrical characteristic performance have been simulated using the Atlas device simulator of SILVACO TCAD with user-defined material syntax for the newly included graphene material in comparison to silicon carbide(SiC).The simulation results in significant suppression of ambipolar current to voltage characteristics of TFET and modelled device exhibits a significant improvement in subthreshold swing(0.0159 V/decade),the ratio of Ion/Ioff(1000),and threshold voltage(-0.2 V with highly doped p-type source and 0.2 V with highly doped n-type drain)with power supply of 0.5 V,which make it useful for low power digital applications.

This paper introduces the design and implementation of a Z-number based fuzzy inference system (ZNFIS) employed for controlling omnidirectional robots. The structure of ZNFIS for omnidirectional robot control is proposed. Using Z-number the control algorithm of the 4-wheels of the robot soccer is developed. The basic operational modules used for control of robot soccer is described. The Z fuzzy rule base (ZFRB) used for the robot control is designed, and its inference process which is based on an interpolative reasoning mechanism is developed. Using distance measure the inference mechanism of ZNFIS is presented. The developed ZFRB and interpolative reasoning mechanism are employed for mobile robot trajectory tracking. Using test examples the simulations of path tracking performance of robot soccer have been performed. The comparative simulation results with other control systems indicate the efficiency of using ZNFIS in control omnidirectional robots. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Accurate segmentation of colorectal polyps is crucial for the early diagnosis of Colorectal Cancer (CRC). In clinical practice, the segmented polyp provides valuable diagnostic information to decide the degree of malignancy through optical biopsy. However, precise segmentation of polyps is very challenging as the appearance and morphology of polyps change in different stages of development in terms of size, color, and texture. In recent years, numerous deep learning (DL) techniques have been put forward by researchers across the globe for the polyp segmentation task. This study retrieved some significant deep learning-based polyp segmentation techniques through a systematic search strategy. One of the most critical problems facing the blockchain technology industry right now is how to protect the privacy of users’ data on the blockchain in a way that is both effective and cheap. Based on the Pedersen commitment and the Schnorr protocol, this study comes up with a secure multi-party computing protocol (BPLSM). By making the structure of the protocol and doing formal proof calculations, it has been shown that the protocol can be used in the blockchain network to combine private messages for efficient signing while keeping people’s identities secret. Furthermore, by looking at the nature and security of the protocol, it is also possible to find that the BPLSM protocol on the blockchain has a low cost of computing and a high level of information secrecy. Furthermore, it was found that the BPLSM protocol takes less time to check than the current mainstream BLS signature in a simple multi-party transaction with a fixed number of participants. © 2024 The Author(s).

Privacy engineering, as an emerging field of research and practice, comprises the technical capabilities and management processes needed to implement, deploy, and operate privacy features and controls in working systems. For that, software practitioners and other stakeholders in software companies need to work cooperatively toward building privacy-preserving businesses and engineering solutions. Significant research has been done to understand the software practitioners' perceptions of information privacy, but more emphasis should be given to the uptake of concrete privacy engineering components. This research delves into the software practitioners' perspectives and mindset, organizational aspects, and current practices on privacy and its engineering processes. A total of 30 practitioners from nine countries and backgrounds were interviewed, sharing their experiences and voicing their opinions on a broad range of privacy topics. The thematic analysis methodology was adopted to code the interview data qualitatively and construct a rich and nuanced thematic framework. As a result, we identified three critical interconnected themes that compose our thematic framework for privacy engineering 'in the wild': (1) personal privacy mindset and stance, categorised into practitioners' privacy knowledge, attitudes and behaviours;(2) organizational privacy aspects, such as decision-power and positive and negative examples of privacy climate;and, (3) privacy engineering practices, such as procedures and controls concretely used in the industry. Among the main findings, this study provides many insights about the state-of-the-practice of privacy engineering, pointing to a positive influence of privacy laws (e.g., EU General Data Protection Regulation) on practitioners' behaviours and organizations' cultures. Charity giving is a fundamental aspect of society, but there are concerns about the accountability and transparency of the donation process. Blockchain technology has emerged as a potential solution, offering a secure and auditable platform for managing charitable contributions. In this paper, we explore the concept of empowering donors through blockchain technology and examine how it can help ensure that contributions reach the right recipients. We review existing literature on the topic and identify key areas for future research, including the development of hybrid blockchain solutions along with the implementation of novel consensus mechanisms. Moreover, providing the idea of decentralized autonomous organizations, self-executing smart contracts, and integration of blockchain with artificial intelligence and Internet of things. By providing a comprehensive overview of the current state of the field and outlining a roadmap for future research, we hope to stimulate further exploration of the potential of blockchain technology to revolutionize charity giving, and create a more accountable and transparent system for managing charitable funds. Some research questions are designed for each novel idea. Our analysis suggests that blockchain has the potential to empower donors and ensure that their contributions make a positive impact in the world, but further research is needed to fully realize its potential. © 2023 IEEE.

Unmanned Remotely Operated Vehicles(ROVs)are widely used in safety-critical missions,spanning across monitoring,surveillance,and search and rescue *** most cases,the human operator controls the ROV under stressful conditions and in harsh *** physical and mental states of the operator are vital as they may cause involuntary movements,issuing unintentional commands due to fatigue or ***,a joint monitoring mechanism that will assess the operator's commands can be beneficial in preventing potentially catastrophic events,such as *** this end,in this study,we propose a data collection framework for creating a fused dataset,consisting of data obtained from both the human operator and the ROV,and we integrate stress induction to stimulate stress and fatigue that may affect operators during *** optimise the dataset,which includes the operator's physiological signals and inertial measurement unit(IMU)sensor data from the ROV,using data fusion approaches and feature *** evaluate the dataset through the statistical analysis,illustrating a statistical difference between data characterising normal and involuntary ***,we evaluate the optimised and original datasets over a variety of classifiers,demonstrating an accuracy of 94%and 95%,respectively.

This research introduces a novel Probabilistic Graph Modeling-based Safety Classifier Algorithm designed for the purpose of classifying road safety in smart transportation systems. Leveraging a combination of numerical integration methods and Gaussian kernel density estimation models, the proposed algorithm offers an effective approach to assess and categorizing the safety levels of roads. The integration of these techniques enables a comprehensive analysis, allowing for a more nuanced understanding of the complex interactions within transportation networks.
