Optimization of classification model for electric vehicle charging station placement using dynamic graylag goose algorithm

The study of electric vehicles (EVs) aims to address the critical challenges of promoting widespread adoption. These challenges include EVs’ high upfront costs compared to conventional vehicles, the need for more sufficient charging stations, limitations in battery technology and charging speeds, and concerns about the distance EVs can travel on a single charge. This paper is dedicated to designing an innovative strategy to handle EV charging station arrangement issues in different cities. Our research will support the development of sustainable transportation by intelligently replying to the challenges related to short ranges and long recharging times through the distribution of fast and ultra-fast charge terminals by allocating demand to charging stations while considering the cost variable of traffic congestion. A hybrid combination of Dynamic Greylag Goose Optimization (DGGO) algorithm, as well as a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model, is employed in this approach to determine, in a cost-sensitive way, the location of the parking lots, factoring in the congestion for traffic as a variable. This study examines in detail the experiments on the DGGO + LSTM model performance for the purpose of finding an efficient charging station place. The results show that the DGGO + LSTM model has achieved a stunning accuracy of 0.988,836, more than the other models. This approach shapes our finding’s primary purpose of proposing solutions in terms of EV charging infrastructure optimization that is fully justified to the EV’s wide diffusion and mitigating of the environmental consequences. It has become evident that pneumatic muscle-based robots are the most compliant of all soft and semi-soft robotic testbeds under investigation, despite the fact that the artificial muscle-based robot is the most challenging due to its hyperelastic behavior resulting from the constitutive elastic material. The purpose of this paper is to examine the development of a physical pneumatic actuation testbed and the application of control strategies for precision small scale soft robotics control. Moreover, an adaptive PI-Fuzzy like control is proposed for reference signal tracking. It is imperative to note that in this application, the controller's performance is determined by its ability to track a reference signal as well as its ability to minimize the absolute tracking error. The Fuzzy Logic controller (FLC) controller, including the nature of the membership functions and the rule base, is described in detail. Simulations and hardware testing have revealed that the adaptive PI-Fuzzy like controller outperforms the traditional FLC controller in terms of experimental results. Additionally, the actuation speed is controlled under different loading conditions. It is considered that the proposed testbed is capable of controlling and managing multi-configurations of medium to small scale soft-based robots efficiently and effectively. © 2023 IEEE.

Cloud-based energy management systems (EMS) in smart grids face privacy challenges, as existing methods based on traditional homomorphic encryption support limited operations and are vulnerable to quantum attacks. We propose a privacy preservation method for smart grid energy management system, leveraging edge-assisted computing and ring learning with errors (RLWE) homomorphic encryption. Our approach enables both addition and multiplication operations on encrypted smart grid data while defending against quantum threats. We demonstrate the methods security under the RLWE hardness assumption and validate its effectiveness through an experimental platform simulating smart grid environments. This work addresses computational limitations in current privacy-preserving techniques, enhancing data security for evolving smart grid technologies © 2010-2012 IEEE.

This paper presents a novel observer-based approach to detect and isolate faulty sensors in nonlinear systems. The proposed sensor fault detection and isolation (s-FDI) method applies to a general class of nonlinear systems. Our focus is on s-FDI for two types of faults: complete failure and sensor degradation. The key aspect of this approach lies in the utilization of a neural network-based Kazantzis-Kravaris/Luenberger (KKL) observer. The neural network is trained to learn the dynamics of the observer, enabling accurate output predictions of the system. Sensor faults are detected by comparing the actual output measurements with the predicted values. If the difference surpasses a theoretical threshold, a sensor fault is detected. To identify and isolate which sensor is faulty, we compare the numerical difference of each sensor measurement with an empirically derived threshold. We derive both theoretical and empirical thresholds for detection and isolation, respectively. Notably, the proposed approach is robust to measurement noise and system uncertainties. Its effectiveness is demonstrated through numerical simulations of sensor faults in a network of Kuramoto oscillators.

The stomatopod (mantis shrimp) visual system has recently provided a blueprint for the design of paradigm-shifting polarization and multispectral imaging sensors, enabling solutions to challenging medical and remote sensing problems. However, these bioinspired frame-based cameras lack the high dynamic range and asynchronous polarization vision capabilities of the stomatopod visual system, limiting temporal resolution to ~12ms and dynamic range to ~72dB. Here we present a novel stomatopod-inspired polarization camera which mimics the sustained and transient biological visual pathways to save power and sample data beyond the maximum Nyquist frame rate. This bio-inspired sensor simultaneously captures both synchronous intensity frames and asynchronous polarization brightness change information with submillisecond latencies over a millionfold range of illumination. Our PDAVIS camera is comprised of 346x260 pixels, organized in 2-by-2 macropixels, which filter the incoming light with four linear polarization filters offset by 45°. Polarization information is reconstructed using both low-cost and low-latency event-based algorithms and more accurate but slower deep neural networks. Convergence of energy-based learning in linear resistive networks

Energy-based learning algorithms are alternatives to backpropagation and are well-suited to distributed implementations in analog electronic devices. However, a rigorous theory of convergence is lacking. We make a first step in this direction by analysing a particular energy-based learning algorithm, Contrastive Learning, applied to a network of linear adjustable resistors. Outage work planning has been essential to maintain the power grid system. For the operators, the planning is troublesome. It is caused by too complex process. The past few years, we have been developing Outage Work planning Collaboration System (OWCS) with some mathematical optimization techniques. Especially, Security Constrained Economic Dispatch(SCED) is extened in some ways to handle various power grid situations.

A Rolling Horizon Game Considering Network Effect in Cluster Forming for Dynamic Resilient Multiagent systems

A two-player game-theoretic problem on resilient graphs in a multiagent consensus setting is formulated. An attacker is capable to disable some of the edges of the network with the objective to divide the agents into clusters by emitting jamming signals while, in response, the defender recovers some of the edges by increasing the transmission power for the communication signals. Specifically, we consider repeated games between the attacker and the defender where the optimal strategies for the two players are derived in a rolling horizon fashion based on utility functions that take both the agents’ states and the sizes of clusters (known as network effect) into account. The players’ actions at each discrete-time step are constrained by their energy for transmissions of the signals, with a less strict constraint for the attacker. Necessary conditions and sufficient conditions of agent consensus are derived, which are influenced by the energy constraints. The number of clusters of agents at infinite time in the face of attacks and recoveries are also characterized. Simulation results are provided to demonstrate the effects of players’ actions on the cluster forming and to illustrate the players’ performance for different horizon parameters. © 2023, CC BY.
