The development of the software and hardware has brought about the abundance and overflow of computing resources. Many Internet companies can lease idle computing resources based on the peak and valley cycles of usage load to provide IaaS service. After the surging development, more and more companies are gradually paying attention to the specific user experience in cloud computing. But there are few works about that aspect in load balance problem. Therefore, we consider the load balancing resource allocation problem, from the perspective of user experience, mainly based on geographical distance and regional Equilibrium, combined with user usage habits, in multiple service periods. A detailed mathematical definition has been established for this problem. This article proposes a mathematical model for the problem, along with an modified CMA-ES (Covariance Matrix Adaptation Evolution Strategy) algorithm, called WS-ESS-CMA-ES algorithm, to allocate computing resources and solve the above problem. The process of using the proposed algorithm to solve the problem of cloud computing resource allocation in real scenarios is simulated, and compared with some other algorithms. This paper presents a comprehensive investigation of traffic radar coverage efficiency under different placement strategies in collaboration with Zhejiang Communications Investment Group Company Limited (CICO). The overall goal is to maximise coverage while minimising blind spots and the number of radars, given the constraints of the road. The NSGA-II multi-objective optimisation algorithm is found to be capable of generating a set of optimal solutions for the proposed radar placement configurations. When aiming for 100% coverage, the results indicate that a multi-antenna radar configuration requires the lowest radar density. Overall, this study provides valuable insights to transportation infrastructure owners in determining the best radar placement strategies for road traffic monitoring. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2024.

The rapid development and usage of digital technologies in modern intelligent systems and applications bring critical challenges on data security and privacy. It is essential to allow cross-organizational data sharing to achieve smart service provisioning, while preventing unauthorized access and data leak to ensure end users' efficient and secure collaborations. Federated Learning (FL) offers a promising pathway to enable innovative collaboration across multiple organizations. However, more stringent security policies are needed to ensure authenticity of participating entities, safeguard data during communication, and prevent malicious activities. In this paper, we propose a Decentralized Federated Graph Learning (FGL) with Lightweight Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) model, named DFGL-LZTA, to provide context-aware security with dynamic defense policy update, while maintaining computational and communication efficiency in resource-constrained environments, for highly distributed and heterogeneous systems in next-generation networking. Specifically, with a re-designed lightweight ZTA, which leverages adaptive privacy preservation and reputation-based aggregation together to tackle multi-level security threats (e.g., data-level, model-level, and identity-level attacks), a Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) based Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) agent is introduced to enable the real-time and adaptive security policy update and optimization based on contextual features. A hierarchical Graph Attention Network (GAT) mechanism is then improved and applied to facilitate the dynamic subgraph learning in local training with a layer-wise architecture, while a so-called sparse global aggregation scheme is developed to balance the communication efficiency and model robustness in a P2P manner. Hypoplastic left heart syndrome(HLHS)is a rare,complex,and incredibly foetal congenital heart *** decrease neonatal mortality,evolving HLHS(eHLHS)in pregnant women should be critically diagnosed as soon as ***,diagnosis is currently heavily dependent on skilled medical professionals using foetal cardiac ultrasound images,making it difficult to rapidly and easily examine for this ***,the authors propose a cost-effective deep learning framework for rapid diagnosis of eHLHS(RDeH),which we have named ***,the framework implements a coarseto-fine two-stage detection approach,with a structure classification network for 4D human foetal cardiac ultrasound images from various spatial and temporal domains,and a fine detection module with weakly-supervised localisation for high-precision nidus localisation and physician *** experiments extensively compare the authors’network with other state-of-the-art methods on a 4D human foetal cardiac ultrasound image dataset and show two main benefits:(1)it achieved superior average accuracy of 99.37%on three categories of foetal ultrasound images from different cases;(2)it demonstrates visually fine detection performance with weakly supervised *** framework could be used to accelerate the diagnosis of eHLHS,and hence significantly lessen reliance on experienced medical physicians.

Edge computing plays a critical role in the Internet of Things (IoT) environment as it potentially supports the time-critical IoT applications' resources as well as latency requirements. In the near future, most edge service providers are envisioned to receive revenue from deploying these applications with the expenditures proportional to placing the offloaded requests from IoT devices and allocating the required resources. One way to maximize the edge profit and minimize the response latency is to integrate the edge nodes and form the edge federation. Therefore, edge service providers can have interoperability to distribute the IoT requests on the appropriate edge nodes in the light of providing satisfactory service levels to meet their objectives. Since the edge nodes are volatile and IoT time-critical applications are increasing, the edge nodes are envisioned to face massive traffic from IoT devices. Therefore, exploiting the traditional dynamic requests placement approaches cannot meet the SLA requirement of both IoT devices and edge service providers. In this article, we designed an intelligent reinforcement learning-based request service provisioning system (i.e., here, we call Edge-AI) as part of a smart edge orchestrator in the edge federation. We implement the proposed method, which is called DRL-Dispatcher, and compare it with greedy and random algorithms in edge federation. The experimental results show that the proposed DRL-Dispatcher performs better in terms of profit and low response latency as compared with the baseline approaches. © 1988-2012 IEEE.

Class-incremental learning poses a significant challenge under an exemplar-free constraint, leading to catastrophic forgetting and sub-par incremental accuracy. Previous attempts have focused primarily on single-modality tasks, such as image classification or audio event classification. However, in the context of Audio-Visual Class-Incremental Learning (AVCIL), the effective integration and utilization of heterogeneous modalities, with their complementary and enhancing characteristics, remains largely unexplored. To bridge this gap, we propose the Multi-Modal Analytic Learning (MMAL) framework, an exemplar-free solution for AVCIL that employs a closed-form, linear approach. To be specific, MMAL introduces a modality fusion module that re-formulates the AVCIL problem through a Recursive Least-Square (RLS) perspective. Complementing this, a Modality-Specific Knowledge Compensation (MSKC) module is designed to further alleviate the under-fitting limitation intrinsic to analytic learning by harnessing individual knowledge from audio and visual modality in tandem. Comprehensive experimental comparisons with existing methods show that our proposed MMAL demonstrates superior performance with the accuracy of 76.71%, 78.98%, and 76.19% on AVE, Kinetics-Sounds, and VGGSounds100 datasets, respectively, setting new state-of-the-art AVCIL performance. Notably, compared to those memory-based methods, our MMAL, being an exemplar-free approach, provides good data privacy and can better leverage multi-modal information for improved incremental accuracy. © 2024 ACM.

Interactive dynamic influence diagrams (I-DIDs) are a general framework for multiagent sequential decision making under uncertainty. Due to the model complexity, a significant amount of research has been invested into solving the model through various types of either exact or approximate algorithms. However, there is no tool that allows users to specify the algorithm parameters and visualise the model solutions. In this demo, we develop an interactive I-DID system that implements most of the state-of-art I-DID algorithms and develops a new type of algorithms based on evolutionary computation. In particular, we propose a multi-population genetic algorithm for solving the I-DID models and automate the generation of behavioural models in the solutions. This demo will facilitate the I-DID research development and practical applications, and elicit a new wave of I-DID solutions based on evolutionary algorithms. © 2022 International Foundation for Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems (***). Location-based services (LBS) have accumulated extensive human mobility data on diverse behaviors through check-in sequences. These sequences offer valuable insights into users' intentions and preferences. Yet, existing models analyzing check-in sequences fail to consider the semantics contained in these sequences, which closely reflect human visiting intentions and travel preferences, leading to an incomplete comprehension. Drawing inspiration from the exceptional semantic understanding and contextual information processing capabilities of large language models (LLMs) across various domains, we present Mobility-LLM, a novel framework that leverages LLMs to analyze check-in sequences for multiple tasks. Since LLMs cannot directly interpret check-ins, we reprogram these sequences to help LLMs comprehensively understand the semantics of human visiting intentions and travel preferences. Specifically, we introduce a visiting intention memory network (VIMN) to capture the visiting intentions at each record, along with a shared pool of human travel preference prompts (HTPP) to guide the LLM in understanding users' travel preferences. These components enhance the model's ability to extract and leverage semantic information from human mobility data effectively. Extensive experiments on four benchmark datasets and three downstream tasks demonstrate that our approach significantly outperforms existing models, underscoring the effectiveness of Mobility-LLM in advancing our understanding of human mobility data within LBS contexts.
