Schottky barrier modulation of bottom contact SnO_(2) thin-film transistors via chloride-based combustion synthesis

The enhanced carrier flow at the interface between Au and SnO_(2)semiconductors,which initially form Schottky contacts,is realized using chloride-based combustion ***-based combustion sys-tems can achieve chlorine(Cl)doping effects as well as conversion to crystalline SnO_(2)films at clearly lower temperatures(∼250℃)than conventional *** to the Cl doping effect,the high carrier concentration can induce thin potential barriers at the metal/semiconductor(MS)junctions,resulting in carrier injection by *** a result,compared to conventional SnO_(2)thin-film transistors,the de-vices fabricated by combustion synthesis exhibit significantly improved electrical performance with field-effect mobility of 6.52 cm 2/Vs(∼13 times),subthreshold swing of 0.74 V/dec,and on/offratio of∼10^(7)below 300℃.Furthermore,because of the enhanced tunneling carriers induced by the narrowed barrier width,the Schottky barriers are significantly reduced from 0.83 to 0.29 eV(65%decrease)at 250℃and from 0.42 to 0.17 eV(60%decrease)at 400℃.Therefore,chloride-based combustion synthesis can con-tribute to developing SnO_(2)-based electronics and flexible devices by achieving both high-quality oxide films and improved current flow at the MS interface with low-temperature annealing.

This paper explores the potential of aerial reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (ARIS) to enhance coordinated multipoint non-orthogonal multiple access (CoMP-NOMA) networks. We consider a system model where a UAV-mounted RIS assists in serving multiple users through NOMA while coordinating with multiple base stations. The optimization of UAV trajectory, RIS phase shifts, and NOMA power control constitutes a complex problem due to the hybrid nature of the parameters, involving both continuous and discrete values. To tackle this challenge, we propose a novel framework utilizing the multi-output proximal policy optimization (MO-PPO) algorithm. MO-PPO effectively handles the diverse nature of these optimization parameters, and through extensive simulations, we demonstrate its effectiveness in achieving near-optimal performance and adapting to dynamic environments. Our findings highlight the benefits of integrating ARIS in CoMP-NOMA networks for improved spectral efficiency and coverage in future wireless networks. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we propose a robust controller design that satisfies the characteristics of phase margin and Iso-damping braking using a reduction model with secondary delay time. For higher-order models, it is not easy to find a specific frequency that satisfies the so-damping and fault margins. As the model reduction method, the reduction method using a Nyquist plot shows excellent characteristics in the frequency domain and time domain. In this paper, the reduction model with the second delay time considering the improved steady-state is applied. The PID controller design method that satisfies the characteristics of phase margin and iso-damping is as follows. First, the parameter value of the Ti controller that satisfies the characteristics of iso-damping is determined by using the reduction model with the second delay time. Second, the Kc and Td parameter values are obtained by considering only the phase margin in the control transfer function that satisfies the phase margin and gain margin. The PID controller parameters thus obtained have the characteristics of robust control by satisfying the characteristics of phase margin and iso-damping. Simulation results show that the proposed method is excellent for lower and higher models. In this paper, we designed a PID controller that satisfies the phase margin and iso-damping using a reduced model. In order to satisfy the above characteristics, improvement of the model reduction algorithm is required. Extending this method will improve the performance of the classic PID controller. © 2020 Mattingley Publishing. All rights reserved.

The digital twins (DTs) represent critical components for the simulation, analysis, and optimization of physical systems, with significant implications for efficiency and cost management in 6G network applications. The introduction of multi-tier computing has the potential to enable a more streamlined integration of DTs in 6G networks by offering services at the edge network level. However, this integration brings about various complexities related to the placement and maintenance of DTs within edge networks, thus increasing the processing latency. To address these problems, we investigate the application of quantum computing, which exploits quantum principles such as superposition and entanglement, and offers potential resolutions for these computational dilemmas. In this paper, we formulate the DT placement problem to incorporate variational quantum circuits for learning agents within a multi-agent reinforcement learning framework. In particular, quantum multi-agent reinforcement learning is proposed to establish an optimal policy for associating DTs with edge networks. This approach aims to reduce latency while adhering to the computational resource limitations of the edge server. Simulation results illustrate the proficiency and robustness of quantum multi-agent actor-critic networks in acquiring a policy that ameliorates the reward function, hence decreasing latency while adhering to the optimization constraints. This study contributes to the evolving field of quantum computing applications in multi-tier environments and provides methodological insights for optimizing DT deployment in 6G networks. © ICST Institute for computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering 2024.

In this paper1, we focus on a workflow distribution methodology for deploying the workflow enactment functionality over enterprise grid computing environments. The essential idea of the workflow distribution methodology is about how to fragment a workflow model and how to allocate the fragmented workflow models over the workflow enactment infrastructure based upon an enterprise grid computing environment. The workflow distribution methodology, as an impeccable solution to implement the essential idea, proposed in the paper is a workflow fragmentation framework, which is broken down into three fragmentating approaches-vertical workflow fragmentation approach, horizontal workflow fragmentation approach and hybrid of both. Conceptually speaking, the typical vertical fragmentation approach implies semantic-driven fragmentation methods, while on the other the horizontal fragmentation approach is to represent syntactic-driven fragmentation methods. Based on the the ICN-based structured workflow model, this paper formalizes the proposed approaches of the workflow fragmentation framework and their detailed algorithms, and applies one of the approaches to an ICN-based structured workflow model as an operational example. © 2010 IEEE.

A mobile ad hoc network(MANET)involves a group of wireless mobile nodes which create an impermanent network with no central authority and *** nodes in the MANET are highly mobile and it results in adequate network topology,link loss,and increase the re-initialization of the route discovery *** planning in MANET is a multi-hop communication process due to the restricted transmission range of the *** aided routing(LAR)is one of the effective routing protocols in MANET which suffers from the issue of high energy *** few research works have focused on resolving energy consumption problem in LAR,energy efficiency still remains a major design *** this aspect,this study introduces an energy aware metaheuristic optimization with LAR(EAMO-LAR)protocol for *** EAMO-LAR protocol makes use of manta ray foraging optimization algorithm(MRFO)to help the searching process for the individual solution to be passed to the LAR *** fitness value of the created solutions is determined next to pass the solutions to the objective *** MRFO algorithm is incorporated into the LAR protocol in the EAMO-LAR protocol to reduce the desired energy *** ensure the improved routing efficiency of the proposed EAMO-LAR protocol,a series of simulations take *** resultant experimental values pointed out the supreme outcome of the EAMO-LAR protocol over the recently compared *** resultant values demonstrated that the EAMO-LAR protocol has accomplished effectual results over the other existing techniques.
