Image steganography uses an image to send a secret message. One way to do it is to modify the image in such a way that the normal eye cannot see it, but the receiver can still extract the information. In traditional embedded steganography even though the human eye cannot detect the manipulation done to the cover image, statistical analysis can reveal the secret information. Coverless image steganography is another approach that solves this problem where instead of embedding secret information we find an image that already consists of a secret message. As no modification is done to the original image no modification traces are found leaving less space for steganalysis. But finding a suitable and optimal data set is a challenge here. Another use of coverless image steganography is to help in protecting the copyright of digital arts or copies of digital records. Since the Internet is not a secure medium these processes must be robust against these attacks to protect the secret message embedded inside the media. In due process of time, many frameworks are devised to increase the capacity of this method and also to increase the robustness against many image attacks. This study has developed a new framework using the Discrete Wavelet Transform of images combined with plane segregation and intensity averaging of sub-images that is robust and has a high capacity to pack information that is to be sent via a communication channel. This proposed method has demonstrated better capacity and robustness compared to previous methods based on DWT. © 2023 IEEE.

An Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is a defence system that provides safety and security against different threats and attacks, acting as a wall of defence against attackers. As internet usage increases, IDSs are becoming an essential part of day-to-day life. Various Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) based IDS are available, and the domain of IDS is still evolving and growing. Here this paper proposes two DL-based IDSs, first is a combination of LuNet and Bidirectional LSTM (Bi-LSTM) and other is a combination of Temporal Convolutional Network (TCN), CNN and Bi-LSTM. Such IDS must be fed with an efficient number of samples to keep them updated and accurate. The first model has been trained and tested against two benchmark datasets, NSL-KDD and UNSW-NB15. The second model has been trained and tested against the NSL-KDD dataset. To overcome the insufficient number of samples, the models have used a technique called Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE). These models provided better experimental outcomes than traditional ML-based approaches and many DL approaches. They have better results in classification accuracy and, detection rate. The classification accuracy of the first model for UNSW-NB15 and NSL-KDD is 82.19% and 98.87% respectively. The classification accuracy of the second model for NSL-KDD is 98.8%. © 2023 IEEE.

Expressing the polarity of sentiment as ‘positive’ and ‘negative’ usually have limited scope compared with the intensity/degree of polarity. These two tasks (i.e. sentiment classification and sentiment intensity prediction) are closely related and may offer assistance to each other during the learning process. In this paper, we propose to leverage the relatedness of multiple tasks in a multi-task learning framework. Our multi-task model is based on convolutional-Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) framework, which is further assisted by a diverse hand-crafted feature set. Evaluation and analysis suggest that joint-learning of the related tasks in a multi-task framework can outperform each of the individual tasks in the single-task frameworks. © 2023, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have become integral to the Internet of Things (IoT) industry. In WSN, power consumption is essential as most sensor nodes are battery-operated and need to be replaced or recharged periodically. Therefore, energy-efficient protocols are essential to prolong the lifetime of WSNs and ensure their optimal performance. This article also describes an overview of the energy-saving wireless sensor network protocols that have been proposed and implemented in recent years and also describes future research directions in this area. Challenges and applications of WSN are described efficiently so that a group of research scholars can understand the advantage and disadvantages of WSN. © 2023 IEEE.

Academic Emotion Detection is fundamentally a system for detecting emotions. The system's main goal was to identify feelings expressed while attending online lectures during the COVID-19 epidemic. The topic Academic Emotion Detection using Machine Learning focuses on utilizing machine learning and deep learning to identify human face emotions in light of the shift to online *** research has a limited scope, it focuses on four academic emotions: confusion, boredom, engagement, and frustration. A person may experience a wide range of other emotions as well. Here, we have used CNN and Deep LSTM for the prediction of said four emotions and it has been observed it increases the accuracy of prediction and effectiveness. We even incorporated a portion of a questionnaire into our research to compare our results with genuine human *** Neural Network (CNN), Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM), and Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) are three different algorithms from the deep learning area that we have used in this study to examine how they operate and identify similarities and differences. © 2023 IEEE.

Machine learning Techniques are identified as the most suitable methods for mental health analysis and prediction. Mental illness among people has increased vastly around the world and has become a serious human problem to be solved. From much research work and research articles, it is evident that machine learning algorithms can be an effective approach to finding mental illness. In this paper, different machine learning algorithms are investigated to find the best model, suitable to predict the mental health of a person more accurately and at a faster rate. In order to create a system that operates effectively and quickly, this paper investigates the performance of various machine learning models, including KNN, Support Vector Machine, Random Forest, Logistic regression, Decision tree, etc. All the models are compared based on the accuracy that each method offers after successful execution. © 2023 IEEE.

In the face of global health crises, ensuring compliance with quarantine regulations is paramount for effectively controlling the spread of infectious diseases. This paper presents a novel system for monitoring activities among quarantined patients using wearable devices, artificial intelligence (AI) models, and blockchain technology. Our system enables continuous monitoring of patients' activities and provides real-time predictions of their compliance status while securely storing and utilizing data on a blockchain. By leveraging wearable devices and employing AI techniques, our system offers an automated and efficient solution for quarantine enforcement. The system's effectiveness is demonstrated through its ability to accurately predict compliance and trigger necessary interventions when deviations from designated areas occur. Our approach is able to achieve a 98.92% accuracy score to predict the activity of the subject. We also demonstrate the effect of different optimizers and their performance. The proposed approach, enhanced by blockchain technology, holds promise for reducing manual efforts, enhancing healthcare workers' safety, and ensuring the integrity and privacy of patient data during the monitoring process. © 2023 IEEE.

The proliferation of information sharing on social media platforms has attracted attackers who often use fake profiles to commit cybercrimes. This work presents a hybrid methodology that addresses the limitations of current techniques by integrating the advantages of deep learning and machine learning algorithms. The suggested technique employs an improved feature extraction layer and a hybrid classifier to optimize the performance of false profile detection. The methodology synergistically integrates the advantages of content-based and behavioral-based analysis methodologies, utilizing a wide range of features that improve accuracy. Content-based analysis involves the examination of textual and multimedia content linked to user profiles. It utilizes natural language processing to identify abnormalities and conflicts. The behavioral-based study centers on examining user interactions, utilizing machine learning algorithms to identify trends in user activity, relationships, and posting behavior. Experimental studies carried out on real data sets obtained from Twitter demonstrated a notable enhancement in the precision of detection when compared to conventional approaches. With this app, users can exercise at anytime and anywhere. These fitness apps changed people's exercise and habits radically. With the help of this good exercise participation, people have gotten accustomed to making use of this fitness app as it has also brought additional attributes like advising on health tips which have made this app ever so special, which acts as an element of construction for obtaining the *** drastic improvement in the information gathering at online portals has helped fitness apps like springing to cope with the latest updates and help to act accordingly. Although public guidance has been crucial in decision-making, Studies show it is not favorable to follow those particular pieces of advice. Studies show that there are too many problems with fitness apps. A deficiency in time management, and no proper development, people do not refer to technical obstacles and relevant databases. The other major complication is that it is not able to keep up with the specification of different age groups. © 2023 IEEE.
