In this system paper, we present our approach to the DJI Robomaster AI Challenge, 2022 where our team ERA-IITK was ranked 3rd worldwide among 83 teams. We primarily focus on system hardware design and algorithmic components to achieve full autonomy. We first detail the hardware infrastructure, including intricate details on sensors and communication setup. Then we comprehensively describe our algorithmic pipeline and a state machine based on them to realize an autonomous system. Our major novelty is the high-speed and accurate visual perception module for target detection, and high-speed self-localization to maximize the likelihood of a target being shot. Our research endeavor in this paper can serve as a foundation for more complex systems and holds immense potential for various real-world applications. © 2024 IEEE.

Exploiting Predictability of Random Vector Functional Link Networks in Forecasting Quality of Service (QoS) Parameters of IoT-Based Web Services Data

Background: QoS parameters are volatile in nature and possess high nonlinearity, thus making the IoT-based service and recommendation process challenging. Methods: An efficient and accurate forecasting model is lacking in this area and needs to be explored. Though an artificial neural network is a prominent option for capturing such nonlinearities, its effi-ciency is limited by the structural complexity and iterative learning method. The random vector functional link network (RVFLN) significantly reduces the time complexity by randomly assigning input weights and biases without further modification. Only output layer weights are calculated iteratively by gradient methods or non-iteratively by least square methods. It is an efficient algorithm with low time complexity and can handle complex domain problems without compromising accuracy. Motivat-ed by these characteristics, this article develops an RVFLN-based model for forecasting QoS parameter sequences. Results: Two real-world IoT-enabled web service dataset series are used in developing and evaluating the effectiveness of RVFLN-based forecasts in terms of three performance metrics. Conclusion: Experimental results, comparative studies, and statistical tests are conducted to establish the superiority of the proposed approach over four other similar forecasting techniques. © 2023 Bentham Science Publishers.

This universe shows mood through facial expressions. Every expression conveys emotions. AI allows us differentiate different emotions, even though everyone has a unique face expression and emotional repertoire. Deep learning builds face emotion-recognition AIs. Train a CNN on the dataset for high prediction accuracy. The goal is to recognise seven fundamental face emotions from hundreds. Happy, sad, neutral, anger, surprise, fear, and contempt are the most common expressions, followed by neutral. Deep face algorithms, machine learning, AI, TensorFlow, etc. can identify facial expressions. Our model is 70-80% correct. The easiest and most effective technique may be this. © 2024 IEEE.

Power structures are fundamental to contemporary society, impacting social welfare, economics, politics, and modernization. The use of several management and protection strategies is essential to guarantee the steady functioning of these complex systems. Power systems still experience problems and failures even when several protective measures are implemented to prevent unanticipated incidents and power outages. If not handled properly, severe situations have the potential to compromise either a large piece of the system or the whole one, thereby resulting in blackouts and cascade failures. Realizing how serious these consequences may be, several nations have set up research groups whose only purpose is to avoid blackouts in their electrical networks. This essay offers a thorough analysis of the significant blackouts and chain reactions that have occurred in the last ten years. Using easily accessible historical data, the research focuses especially on power system disruptions in the country that is the largest worldwide power provider. The analysis also explores the underlying factors that contribute to blackouts globally. The study also examines blackout and cascade analytic techniques, illuminating the effects of such occurrences. There are problems with the preventive mechanisms that are already in place, and there are research gaps on power system blackouts and cascade incidents. In closing, the report makes recommendations for future research areas and highlights important points to keep in mind while studying power system failures. © 2023 IEEE.

Human emotions, psychology, and social well-being are all parts of mental health. It has an impact on how people feel, think, and act. It aids in figuring out how individuals act under pressure, interact with each other, and arrive at decisions. Every period of life, from childhood and adolescence to maturity, is vital for mental health. There are several elements that affect mental health issues, such as experiences with trauma or abuse in life, work-life stress, relationship difficulties, etc. Help is available for many of the mental health issues that are identified within a person. The proposed solution is implementing a friendly chatbot that is capable of capturing human emotional states (happy, angry, sad, etc.) and mental health states (depression, anxiety, stress, etc.) using human computer interaction and health record management. The proposed solution has been developed by considering both regular users and mental health practitioners. The user can communicate with the proposed assistant using text or voice to identify their emotions and mental health based on keywords, particular characteristics of voice and facial recognition used during the conversation. Once the mental health and emotion statuses are analyzed the electronic health records will be readily available on the blockchain as blockchain tokens, this could be shared with the practitioners securely. © 2023 IEEE.

This research study systematically examines the application of deep learning techniques in predicting lung infections including cancer, pneumonia, tuberculosis, Covid 19 and so on. This study, detailed below, introduces a new method of handling crimes in particular states, using ensemble machine learning and data visualization techniques in particular, as a way to enhance public safety. Crime detection is a hard task for two concerns, the complexities of the crime and the enormity of the data. By means of random forest and AdaBoost ensemble learning techniques we can model sophisticated problems of the relationship between features such as crime data as a way to match predictions. The other point we stress is data visualization which allows us to comprehend the patterns and connections that have been derived from the ensemble learning process. In addition to the analysis of local crime data, the hybrid approach that we propose involves the inclusion of national crime data to make the identification of hidden crime patterns at state level possible. This move will enable the law enforcement agencies to gain a better understanding of the activities and to effectively respond to the crimes. The proposed methodology represents a, robust and efficient solution to statewise crime detection utilizing the advantages of machine learning and mapping tools. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) antenna is introduced. The proposed MIMO antenna is to achieve a multiband response and high efficiency. This antenna is fabricated on FR4 substrate with the thickness of 0.8 mm. The size of the antenna is 30*30mm2. The field distribution of proposed antenna is observed. The fabricated antenna results is tested and compared. The proposed antenna is suitable candidate for C and X band applications. © 2023 IEEE.
