Heart disease remains a leading global cause of mortality, emphasizing the need for innovative diagnostic solutions. Traditional Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS) often struggle with limited datasets and imbalances, impacting prediction accuracy. This study proposes a novel approach by integrating Conditional Generative Adversarial Networks (CGANs) into a CDSS framework, enhancing its ability to generate high-quality synthetic data. The augmented dataset is utilized to train a Gradient Boosting model capable of identifying subtle patterns in patient data. This methodology significantly improves prediction precision and addresses limitations of traditional techniques. The results demonstrate the model's superiority inaccurately identifying heart disease risks, making it a valuable tool for early diagnosis and clinical decision-making. By combining advanced machine learning techniques with domain- specific innovations, this research sets a new benchmark in the application of AI for healthcare. © 2025 IEEE.

In the context of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), the role of vehicle detection and classification is indispensable for streamlining transportation management, refining traffic control, and conducting in-depth accident analyses. However, the intricate task of accurately detecting multi-oriented vehicles in diverse scenarios remains a challenge, even with the advancements in ITS. Factors such as vehicle morphology, design, road conditions, structural details, and climatic variables provide a significant part in the detection. To address this, our study introduces an advanced YOLOv8n model, specifically the YOLOv8n-CGW, which is built upon pre-trained deep learning frameworks. This model is meticulously tailored to enhance the detection capabilities for multi-oriented vehicles. Comprehensive evaluations on esteemed datasets like MtV, MERGED, Custom dataset, DAWN, WEDGE, and UA-DETRAC underscore the superiority of our approach over existing models. Notably, our YOLOv8n-CGW model achieves a remarkable mAP of 83.3% and boasts a swift inference time of 0.0019s, setting a new benchmark in the domain. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Prediction of banana leaf disease by intelligent algorithm through digital image using neural network technique

A lot of research shows that there could be several reasons why the duality of agricultural products has been reduced. Plant diseases make up one of the most important components of this quality. Therefore, the reduction of plant diseases allows for much higher product quality. The automated diagnosis of plant diseases using CNN techniques is presented in this article. The simple approach alters the 25 color channels and 24H histograms. The Banana Leaf Disease Detection Technique (BLDDT), which uses two attention mechanisms to assess, identify and categorize traits, was also suggested in this research. In the analysis phase, the testing carried out using the reference information reveals that the disease, detection system may be reasonably more appropriate than the current techniques because it both identifies and diagnoses the diseased/infected areas. The researchers were able to identify Esca, black decay, and isariopsis ––––with a 99.93% accuracy level using the suggested disease detector. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

In real-world scenarios, speech signals are often corrupted by various types of noise, which can significantly degrade the intelligibility and quality of the speech. Noise in such environments is highly non-stationary, changing rapidly and unpredictably. A new algorithm has been created to estimate noise in speech signals affected by rapidly changing and unpredictable non-stationary noise. This algorithm aims to enhance speech quality and intelligibility in challenging acoustic settings. It determines signal presence by comparing the power spectrum of noisy speech to a continually updated local minimum, calculated from past noisy speech power spectra with a look-ahead factor. Its standout feature is its rapid adaptability to swiftly respond to new noise patterns, crucial for maintaining speech clarity and quality in dynamic noise environments. Formal experiments validated its effectiveness compared to other noise-estimation methods when integrated into speech enhancement systems, using metrics like mean squared error (MSE) and signal to noise ratio (SNR). This algorithm significantly contributes to noise estimation and voice enhancement, offering effectiveness in handling highly non-stationary noise and being adaptable and versatile for various applications. This algorithm stands as a substantial advancement in the domains of noise estimation and voice enhancement overall. A mathematical multi-objective optimization model and metaheuristic algorithm for effective advertising in the social internet of things

The integration of social networks with the Internet of Things (IoT) has been explored in recent research, giving rise to the Social Internet of Things (SIoT). One promising application of SIoT is viral marketing, which plays a critical role in modern advertising. However, current solutions proposed for viral marketing are often impractical in real-world scenarios, and there has been limited investigation into viral marketing within the context of SIoT. To address this issue, we present a multi-objective integer linear programming model named ILP-ASoT that facilitates advertising through SIoT. Our approach introduces two realistic parameters: the node sociality rate and the node appropriateness rate as an advertising destination. By balancing the cost of selecting a seed set with the number of users who receive the advertisement, our model offers an appropriate trade-off. Since this is proven as an NP-hard problem, A PSO-based metaheuristic algorithm is proposed to provide near-optimal solutions for advertising in SIoT, called PSO-ASoT. Through simulations, we show that our PSO-ASoT algorithm outperforms state-of-the-art algorithms in several metrics, such as influence spread, advertising cost, and duplicated advertising rate. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

Few-Shot Referring Video Single- and Multi-Object Segmentation Via Cross-Modal Affinity with Instance Sequence Matching

Referring Video Object Segmentation (RVOS) aims to segment specific objects in videos based on the provided natural language descriptions. As a new supervised visual learning task, achieving RVOS for a given scene requires a substantial amount of annotated data. However, only minimal annotations are usually available for new scenes in realistic scenarios. Another practical problem is that, apart from a single object, multiple objects of the same category coexist in the same scene. Both of these issues may significantly reduce the performance of existing RVOS methods in handling real-world applications. In this paper, we propose a simple yet effective model to address these issues by incorporating a newly designed cross-modal affinity (CMA) module based on a Transformer architecture. The CMA module facilitates the establishment of multi-modal affinity over a limited number of samples, allowing the rapid acquisition of new semantic information while fostering the model’s adaptability to diverse scenarios. Furthermore, we extend our FS-RVOS approach to multiple objects through a new instance sequence matching module over CMA, which filters out all object trajectories with similarity to language features that exceed a matching threshold, thereby achieving few-shot referring multi-object segmentation (FS-RVMOS). To foster research in this field, we establish a new dataset based on currently available datasets, which covers many scenarios in terms of single-object and multi-object data, hence effectively simulating real-world scenes. Extensive experiments and comparative analyses underscore the exceptional performance of our proposed FS-RVOS and FS-RVMOS methods. Our method consistently outperforms existing related approaches through practical performance evaluations and robustness studies, achieving optimal performance on metrics across diverse benchmark tests. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Buffer and Splitter Insertion for Adiabatic Quantum-Flux-Parametron Circuits

The extremely low-bit energy characteristic of the adiabatic quantum-flux-parametron (AQFP) circuit makes it a promising candidate for highly energy-efficient computing systems. However, in contrast with conventional circuit design, general logic synthesis tools can not make sure that the circuit functionality of generated AQFP circuits is correct. AQFP circuits require buffer and splitter insertion for dataflow synchronization at all clock phases of the circuit and multifan-out driving. Notably, buffers and splitters inserted take up much area and delay in AQFP circuits, also causing a significant increase in energy dissipation. To address this problem, this article analyses in detail why buffer and splitter insertion is necessary for AQFP circuits and proposes a global optimization framework for this purpose. This framework consists of three parts: 1) logic level assignment;2) splitter tree generation;and 3) buffer insertion. An integer linear programming algorithm is proposed for the logic level assignment to estimate the globally optimal number of inserted buffers and splitters. Subsequently, a dynamic programming-based multiway search tree generation algorithm is proposed to construct an optimal splitter tree for each net of the input circuit. Moreover, three optimization strategies are proposed to further enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our framework. Experimental results on ISCAS'85 and EPFL benchmarks demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of our proposed framework compared with the state-of-the-art, particularly with significant advantages on large circuits. © 2024 IEEE.

Agriculture is backbone of many economies but still farmers often face many challenges in accessing financial services or available resources for them, making informed crop choices and participating in government initiatives. Because of many farmers are not aware about all these things, to address these concerns, the proposed "Agricultural Financial Inclusion System" provides a comprehensive platform which integrates essential services with aim of improving farmers’ production and their financial awareness. Our system has a crop recommendation feature that helps farmers to choose the best suitable crop for their soil in the farm by taking climate and soil type into account. In order to make sure that farmers are aware about various available services/resources or any government schemes and able to take advantage of them, the platform also offers essential information on a variety of government initiatives, saving plans etc. By combining all these features, the Agricultural Financial Inclusion System encourage farmers to make smart choices which help them to enhance agricultural productivity and financial stability. In order to create more successful and sustainable agriculture sector, this integrated approach hopes to fill the gap between farmers and technology & resources they need. © 2025 IEEE.

Dehazing is a difficult process in computer vision that seeks to improve the clarity and excellence of pictures taken under cloudy, foggy, and rainy circumstances. The Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) has been a viable method for removing haze from photos in recent years. This is because GAN can understand intricate data patterns and provide high-quality outcomes. This paper provides a thorough examination of the most advanced strategies in dehazing utilizing GAN. The study examines the various elements utilized in GAN-based dehazing, including generator and discriminator architectures, loss functions, and training strategies. It also explores the evaluation metrics employed to assess the effectiveness of GAN-based dehazing methods. It also examines the datasets often used to train and evaluate these models. SAMFNet: Scene-aware sampling and multi-stage fusion for multimodal 3D object detection

Recently, multimodal 3D object detection (M3OD) that fuses the complementary information from LiDAR data and RGB images has gained significant attention. However, the inherent structural differences between point clouds and images pose fusion challenges, significantly hindering the exploration of correlations within multimodal data. To address this issue, this paper introduces an enhanced multimodal 3D object detection framework (SAMFNet), which leverages virtual point clouds generated from depth completion. Specifically, we design a scene-aware sampling module (SASM) that employs tailored sampling strategies for different bins based on the density distribution of point clouds. This effectively alleviates the detection bias problem while ensuring the key information of virtual points, significantly reducing the computational cost. In addition, we introduce a multi-stage feature fusion module (MSFFM) that embeds point-level and regional-adaptive feature fusion strategies to generate more informative multimodal features by fusing features with different granularities. To further improve the accuracy of model detection, we also introduce a confidence prediction branch unit (CPBU), which improves the detection accuracy by predicting the confidence of feature classification in the intermediate stage. Extensive experiments on the challenging KITTI dataset demonstrate the validity of our model. © 2025 The Authors
