Images are generally corrupted by impulse noise during acquisition and *** deteriorates the quality of *** remove corruption noise,we propose a hybrid approach to restoring a random noisecorrupted image,including a block matching 3D(BM3D)method,an adaptive non-local mean(ANLM)scheme,and the K-singular value decomposition(K-SVD)*** the proposed method,we employ the morphological component analysis(MCA)to decompose an image into the texture,structure,and edge ***,the BM3D method,ANLM scheme,and K-SVD algorithm are utilized to eliminate noise in the texture,structure,and edge parts of the image,*** results show that the proposed approach can effectively remove interference random noise in different parts;meanwhile,the deteriorated image is able to be reconstructed well.

With the rapid development of location-based services, a particularly important aspect of start-up marketing research is to explore and characterize points of interest (PoIs) such as restaurants and hotels on maps. However, due to the lack of direct access to PoI databases, it is necessary to rely on existing APIs to query Pols within a region and calculate PoI statistics. Unfortunately, public APIs generally im- pose a limit on the maximum number of queries. Therefore, we propose effective and efficient sampling methods based on road networks to sample PoIs on maps and provide unbiased estimators for calculating PoI statistics. In general, the more intense the roads, the denser the distribution of PoIs is within a region. Experimental results show that compared with state-of-the-art methods, our sampling methods improve the efficiency of aggregate statistical estimations.

The concept of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs), which combine computation, networking, and physical processes, is considered to be beneficial to smart grid applications. This study presents an integrated simulation environment to provide a unified platform for the investigation of smart grid applications involving power grid monitoring, communication, and control. In contrast to the existing approaches, this environment allows the network simulator to operate independently, importing its results to the power system simulation. This resolves conflicts between discrete event simulation and continuous simulation. In addition, several data compensation methods are proposed and investigated under different network delay conditions. A case study of wide-area monitoring and control is provided, and the efficiency of the proposed simulation framework has been evaluated based on the experimental results.

In this paper, an efficient technique for optimal design of digital infinite impulse response (IIR) filter with minimum passband error (ep), minimum stopband error (es), high stopband attenuation (As), and also free from limit cycle effect is proposed using cuckoo search (CS) algorithm. In the proposed method, error function, which is multi-model and non-differentiable in the heuristic surface, is constructed as the mean squared difference between the designed and desired response in frequency domain, and is optimized using CS algorithm. Computational efficiency of the proposed technique for exploration in search space is examined, and during exploration, stability of filter is maintained by considering lattice representation of the denominator polynomials, which requires less computational complexity as well as it improves the exploration ability in search space for designing higher filter taps. A comparative study of the proposed method with other algorithms is made, and the obtained results show that 90% reduction in errors is achieved using the proposed method. However, computational complexity in term of CPU time is increased as compared to other existing algorithms.
