There have been numerous works proposed to merge augmented reality/mixed reality(AR/MR)and Internet of Things(IoT)in various ***,they have focused on their specific target applications and have limitations on interoperability or reusability when utilizing them to different domains or adding other devices to the *** paper proposes a novel architecture of a convergence platform for AR/MR and IoT systems and *** proposed architecture adopts the oneM2M IoT standard as the basic framework that converges AR/MR and IoT systems and enables the development of application services used in general-purpose environments without being subordinate to specific systems,domains,and device *** implement the proposed architecture utilizing the open-source oneM2M-based IoT server and device platforms released by the open alliance for IoT standards(OCEAN)and Microsoft HoloLens as an MR device *** also suggest and demonstrate the practical use cases and discuss the advantages of the proposed architecture.

The advances in artificial intelligence (AI) technology can transform education. However, the growing infusion of AI technologies into academic environments raises important ethical issues that are essential for safeguarding academic integrity and quality. This paper proposes a detection framework that utilizes linguistic features and a Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit (Bi-GRU) model to identify AI-generated texts. The framework extracts perplexity values, readability measures, syntactic complexity metrics, and lexical diversity indicators, which are fed into a Bi-GRU classifier. Trained on an extended version of the DAIGT dataset and evaluated on the Deepfake dataset, the model achieved an accuracy of 98 % with F1 score of 97 % when tested on the DAIGT dataset. It also achieved an accuracy of $\mathbf{7 2 \%}$ and an F1 score of $\mathbf{7 9 \%}$ on the Deepfake dataset, outperforming state-of-the-art methodologies in these datasets. These findings highlight the potential of combining linguistic feature analysis with deep learning to develop efficient, interpretable, and domain-adaptive systems for AI text detection, addressing the critical need for automating authenticity and maintaining integrity in content generation.

This paper presents a 1x4 patch with a Fresnel zone plate (FZP) lens for 77-79 GHz application. The difference from the traditional, we used one component to implement the lens and chassis together to reduce the design complexity and increase cost efficiency. The lens utilizes the concept of a Fresnel zone plate (FZP) to generate perforations with different dielectric constant regions in resin to achieve proper phase compensation. The lens is composed of three equivalent dielectric regions to compensate for the phase of electromagnetic. The full wave simulation results show that the peak gain of the FZP Lens could increase of 5.8 dB in the broadside direction compared with the resin chassis. © 2023 IEEE.

The evaluation of a Text-to-Speech (TTS) system is typically labor-intensive and highly biased because there is no golden standard of the generated speech or objective evaluation metrics. To improve the performance of TTS systems, it is highly desirable to explore the perceptual quality assessment of TTS-synthesized speech and propose a relatively valid evaluation method. In this paper, we introduce a deep-learning-based approach to predict human labeled perceptual quality scores of the generated speech. Our approach is based on ResNet and self-attention, where the former addresses the issue of deep feature extraction and integration and the latter takes advantage of the natural relationship between the input sequences. The experiment results indicate that the proposed method performs better on test tasks in terms of various accuracy evaluation criteria than the state-of-the-art methods. Additionally, the experiment demonstrates a strong correlation between the predicted scores and the true (human) MOS scores. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Currently, the vast majority of international interactions and activities related to trade, government, culture, social interaction, and economics take place online. These interactions involve people, non-governmental organizations, governments, and government agencies at all levels. Recently, a sizeable number of commercial firms and government organizations all over the world have been presented with the challenge offered by cyberattacks as well as the danger represented by wireless communication technologies. A very little amount of time has passed since this had place. We were able to develop a model for the risk of cyber security by making use of Bayesian networks. This model has the capability of locating the point of cyber security that is weak and merging two different cyber analysis models. Among these is the activityquality model, which shows how individuals and/or groups adhere to the legal requirements for cyber security. Evidence describing the critical component of cyber security for a research reactor's RPS may be produced via the cyber security risk model. An further model that shows the probability of a cyberattack against RPS architecture is the cyber security risk model. © 2024 IEEE.

The direct modulation and fiber transmission performances of a bi-layer-oxide-confined 850-nm vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) containing an emission aperture size of 3.5 μm with versatile novel complex data formats are compared. With delivering quadrature amplitude modulation-orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (QAM-OFDM), generalized frequency-division multiplexing (GFDM), and discrete multi-tone (DMT) data streams, the highest data rate allowable for encoding the 3.5-μm-aperture VCSEL is demonstrated under back-to-back (BtB) and 100-m OM5-multi-mode fiber (OM5-MMF) transmissions. The newly designed 3.5-μm-aperture VCSEL contains InGaAs/AlGaAs multiple quantum wells and bi-layer-oxide-confined aperture to enhance its differential gain, reduce its thermal resistance, and improve its parasitic resistance for providing broader encoding bandwidth. Optimizing the VCSEL bias at 9 mA (11Ith) makes the lasing with three to four transverse modes suffer from a low modal dispersion effect, which also provides its 3-dB bandwidth as wide as 24.9 GHz and suppresses its RIN level to −138.0 dBc∕Hz for broadband OFDM/GFDM/DMT data encoding. By using the pre-distortion technique on the OFDM to compensate the SNR degradation, the OFDM modified with a pre-leveling slope of 0.5 dB/GHz can provide 160 Gbit/s for BtB and 140 Gbit/s for 100-m OM5-MMF transmissions. By dividing the N OFDM subcarriers into K equally-sized GFDM subcarriers and M equally-sized GFDM subsymbols, the QAM-GFDM with K = 2 can effectively enhance the out-of-band suppression to 35.9 dB and reduce the peak-to-average-power ratio to 9.7 dB, which can support 168 Gbit/s under BtB and 144 Gbit/s in 100-m OM5-MMF transmissions. To achieve the maximal spectral-usage efficiency, the DMT with the adaptive bit-loading algorithm is employed to improve the data rate up to 172 Gbit/s for BtB and 146 Gbit/s for 100-m OM5-MMF conditions. The proliferation of IoT gadgets has introduced game-changing technologies across a range of sectors. This widespread use has, however, revealed serious security holes, underscoring the importance of rigorous security measures and digital forensics investigation. Information is the lifeblood of digital forensics. There was a time when digital forensics only dealt with devices like computers and mobile phones that were physically present at a crime scene. With the rapid growth of the number of processors in a multiprocessor system, faulty processors occur in it with a probability that rises quickly. The probability of a subsystem with an appropriate size being fault-free in a definite time interval is a significant and practical measure of the reliability for a multiprocessor system, which characterizes the functionality of a multiprocessor system well. Motivated by the study of subgraph reliability, as well as the attractive structure and fault tolerance properties of (n, k)-arrangement graph A n, k, we focus on the subgraph reliability for A n, k under the probabilistic fault model in this article. First, we investigate intersections of no more than four subgraphs in A n, k, and classify all the intersecting modes. Second, we focus on the probability P(q, A n, k n-1, k-1) with which at least one (n-1, k-1)-subarrangement graph is fault-free in A n, k, when given a uniform probability q with which a single vertex is fault-free, and we establish the P(q, A n, kn-1, k-1) by adopting the principle of inclusion-exclusion under the probabilistic fault model. Finally, we study the probabilistic fault model involving a nonuniform probability with which a single vertex is fault-free, and we prove that the P(q, A n, kn-1, k-1) under both models is very close to the asymptotic value by both theoretical arguments and experimental results. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

A security authentication protocol based on number theory research unit (NTRU) for industrial control devices is proposed to address the security of data transmission in industrial control systems and the lack of resistance to attacks of security authentication protocols. Most of the original protocols contain complex encryption and decryption operations, which are difficult to run on industrial control devices with simple structures and cannot resist new types of network attacks. In this paper, the protocol takes advantage of the simple operation of NTRU public key encryption system and sets the authorization center to send only the public key of the device in a variant form to achieve the purpose of resisting new attacks such as quantum attacks and internal attacks, and the anti-attack capability is strengthened. © 2023 IEEE.
