Differing from applying steganography on storage cover media, steganography on voice over IP (VoIP) must often delicately balance between providing adequate security and maintaining low latency for real-time services. This paper presents a novel real-time steganography model for VoIP that aims at providing good security for secret messages without sacrificing real-time performance. We achieve this goal by employing the well-known least-significant-bits (LSB) substitution approach to provide a reasonable tradeoff between the adequate information hiding requirement (good security and sufficient capacity) and the low latency requirement for VoIP. Further, we incorporate the M-sequence technique to eliminate the correlation among secret messages to resist the statistical detection based on the fact that the distribution of the LSBs in the stego-speech is not uniform and to provide a short-term security protection of secret messages. To accurately recover secret messages at the receiver side, we design a synchronization mechanism based on the RSA key agreement and the synchronized sequence transmission using techniques of the protocol steganography, which can effectively enhance the flexibility of the covert communication system and be extended to other steganography schemes based on real-time systems. We evaluate the effectiveness of our model with ITU-T G.729a as the codec of the cover speech in StegTalk, a covert communication system based on VoIP. The experimental results demonstrate that our technique provides good security and transparency for transmitting secret messages while adequately meeting the real-time requirement of VoIP.

We designed a new genome search tool, basic sequence search by hashing algorithm (BSSHA) bases on basic local alignment search tool (BLAST) and, sequence search and alignment by hashing algorithm (SSAHA) for DNA sequence databases. Preprocess query sequence by making m-letter word list. Sequences in the database are preprocessed by breaking them into k-tuples of k-contiguous bases and hash table is created to store the position of each occurrence of each k-tuple. "Linked list" method is applied to search a query sequence in the database by detecting the hits in the hash table. Hash table for database is generated only once since it can be saved in the memory for further use. BSSHA depends on exact matching pair, so it enables execution time shorter by skipping those empty hit list or low possibility matches. Time complexity theory shows that the execution time for BSSHA is shorter than SSAHA.

This paper presents the hardware architecture of a new optical switching device named Protection Switching Device (PSD) for providing protection and restoration against fiber failures/faults in the distribution region of passive optical network (PON). The developed PSD prototypes are employed at the customer end, just before the optical network units (ONUs) to ensure the data flow continuously due to breakdown occur in the network and instantly repair operation. The network is protected from fiber/equipment failures by using optical switches to bridge the optical signals and dual feed them on diversely routed working line and protection line or neighbor line. When the failure is detected, the protection mechanism will be activated and divert the optical signal direction to the protection line or neighbor line according to the types of failure condition and location of failures in PON.

The volume of published scientific literature available on Internet has been increasing exponentially. Some of them reflect the latest achievement of the specific research domain. In recent years, many projects have been funded aiming to online scientific literature mining, especially in biomedical research. Scientific literature covers most of the hot topics in the research field and has a very large domain-specific vocabulary. The exploitation of domain knowledge and specialized vocabulary can dramatically improve the result of literature text processing. The purpose of this paper is to research on automatic identifying and classifying IT security literature so that IT security related papers can be retrieved from Internet with high accuracy. RFC 2828 provides explanations and recommendations for use of IT security terminology. In this paper, we evaluated the effects of IT security literatures identification with RFC2828 glossary-based feature choice and TF/IDF scheme. Our experimental result shows that its performance is better than the common TF/IDF method.

This paper proposes and experimentally demonstrates an access control system (ACS) mechanism against distribution fiber fault in fiber to the home (FTTH) passive optical network (PON). ACS will be installed between with optical line terminal (OLT) at the central office (CO) to monitor and control each optical fiber line's status and detect the failure that occurs in the drop region of PON downstream from CO to the optical network unit (ONU). The technique is based on the remote host of optical switch, and the web-server would help discern an individual event during the monitoring of the FTTH PON in collaboration with the information provided by the optical switch. The FTTH-PON architecture can be analyzed by the monitoring method by using the OTDR at the central office (CO) under the in-service state of FTTH-PON. Moreover, the downstream traffic performance has also been measured and discussed in PON architecture.

This paper proposed an application of microcontroller embedded Ethernet to monitoring system in optical communication. We focus on distributed real-time systems, which stand to benefit most from the use of web services technology. For this propose the PIC microcontroller is used control any optical switch connected to it, and send information to internet. It was successfully identified without affecting communication signal transmission, with the specification available a complete system can be made with 24 man-hours. The system will to improve the service reliability and reduce the maintenance cost.

The smart and intelligent system of FTTH is expected to be a key element which provides centralized monitoring, survivability and instantly maintenance of FTTH customer access network. A challenging task for network planners is to reduce network protection costs while maintaining an acceptable level of survivability. In this paper, we implement a cost effective restoration scheme for a novel tree-based EPON architecture for intermediate split structure (ISS) in the drop region section. The protection mechanism for tree based optical switch will have capability to divert the signal onto protection line according to the types of failure condition and location of failures in access network. This will ensure the data flow continuously due to breakdown occur in the network and instantly repair operation before it cause any major problem later. We employ the dedicated and shared protection in our design. Four faulty conditions are considered in this article and OptiSystem, Inc. software is used to prove the solution feasibility.

Multi-FPGA systems are widely used for rapid prototyping and logic verification of VLSIs. To implement a huge logic circuit in a multi-FPGA system, the circuit needs to be partitioned into multiple FPGAs. Because of the limited interconnection resources between FPGAs, time-multiplexed I/Os are used for inter-FPGA connections. Due to the large delay of time-multiplexed I/Os, inter-FPGA connections strongly affect the system performance. In this paper, we extend an ILP-based optimization method of the inter-FPGA connections to improve the system performance. Our method uses both a normal I/O and a time-multiplexed I/O, and decides whether each inter-FPGA signal is transferred by a time-multiplexed I/O or not. Our extended method improves the system performance considering the variation of the amount of interconnection resources, and the variation of the number of inter-FPGA signals, from an FPGA pair to another FPGA pair. Experiments showed that our method improved the circuit performance on a 4-FPGA system by 26.4% compared with a conventional method, on average.

The majority of existing escrowable identity-based key agreement protocols only provide partial forward secrecy. Such protocols are, arguably, not suitable for many real-word applications, as the latter tends to require a stronger sense of forward secrecy--perfect forward secrecy. In this paper, we propose an efficient perfect forward-secure identity-based key agreement protocol in the escrow mode. We prove the security of our protocol in the random oracle model, assuming the intractability of the Gap Bilinear Diffie-Hellman （GBDH） problem.

This article presents the formal definition and description of popular topics on the Internet,analyzes the relationship between popular words and topics,and finally introduces a method that uses statistics and correlation of the popular words in traffic content and network flow characteristics as input for extracting popular topics on the *** on this,this article adapts a clustering algorithm to extract popular topics and gives formalized *** test results show that this method has an accuracy of 16.7%in extracting popular topics on the *** with web mining and topic detection and tracking(TDT),it can provide a more suitable data source for effective recovery of Internet public opinions.
