Converting renewable energy into useful energy sources is an important thing, and there are many converters available, such as hydropower, wind turbines, solar PV, and solar absorbers. In this study, we have four solar absorber designs, and out of four, hash-shaped ones are more effective for absorbing solar radiation and converting it into heat energy. With the ultra-broadband, a Hash-Shaped Solar Absorber (HSSA) structure has more than 93% and 90% absorption achieved in the wavelength range of 3000 – 4000 nm and 400 – 5000 nm, respectively, whereas more than 97% absorption is achieved in the visible region. The HSSA structure demonstrates absorption >99% at specific wavelength peaks, iAdditionally, the structure is polarization insensitive and up to 60° incident angle insensitive. Also, the prediction accuracy of the ML model as the parameter fluctuation is investigated. The greatest R2 value is 0.999592 with machine learning algorithm. © 2024, The Authors. The fundamental challenges for full-duplex(FD)relay networks are the self-interference cancellation(SIC)and the cooperative transmission design at the *** paper presents a practical amplify-and-forward(AF)FD one-way relay scheme for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM)transmission with multi-domain *** is found that the residual self-interference(SI)signals at the relay can be regarded as an equivalent multipath *** effects of the residual sI at the relay are incorporated into the equivalent end-to-end channel model,and the inter-block interference can be removed at the destination by using cyclic prefix(CP)*** on the equivalent multipath model,we present a solution for optimizing the amplification factor on the performance of signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio(SINR)when the equivalent multipath length is longer than the ***,a practical one way FD relay network with 3 nodes is built and *** simulation and measured results verify the superior performance of the proposed scheme.

The economic growth of Bangladesh is heavily dependent on agricultural production, but the several diseases have significantly impeded the growth of crops. The zucchini plant is commonly afflicted by diseases such as alternaria blight, anthracnose, and angular leaf spot. As a result, it is now crucial to detect leaf diseases at an early stage to prevent damage to the entire crop. However, farmers often lack of sufficient knowledge regarding leaf diseases and resort to manual methods for identifying disorders. The accuracy of detection is inadequate and time consuming. Therefore, it is crucial to develop an automated and precise identification system to solve this issue. This article introduces a new method for diagnosing and categorizing diseases in zucchini plants. Deep learning, which is a modern and effective approach, is suggested as a means to recognize the disorder and determine the appropriate treatment. Our primary focus was on training the raw dataset using the CNN algorithm, which resulted in an accuracy rate of 88.30 percent. Detecting and identifying diseases in the zucchini plant would contribute to the economic growth of Bangladesh by enhancing the production rate of the crop.

Machine learning (ML) has revolutionized healthcare, including, the classification of heart diseases. Traditional ML techniques often struggle with complex and high-dimensional datasets of heart diseases. Graph-based techniques have emerged as a promising approach to enhance the results by capturing intricate relationships between data points. The aim of this article is to apply and improve ML classification of heart diseases using graph-based techniques. This study utilizes a dataset of 1190 samples with 23 features, including features derived from graphs. Several ML models are employed, and their performance is evaluated using accuracy, precision, and recall. The results demonstrate significant advancements in the classification of heart diseases, with the graph-based network model achieving an accuracy of 95%. The superior performance of the graph-based model can be attributed to its ability to take into account complex indirect relationships between risk factors and disease outcomes. Further improvements can be made by considering advanced properties of complex networks, such as their small-world or scale-free characteristics.

In urban areas, due to the obstruction/reflection of GNSS signals by roadside buildings, position accuracy is greatly degraded, or even outage occurs when no enough satellites are available. To address this problem, vehicles and roadside units have been used as positioning anchors to estimate pedestrian position. Although previous methods exploited channel state information, which is superior to received signal strength for distance estimation, they rely on signal attenuation characteristics, and the accuracy is limited by temporal resolution and multipath propagation. This work focuses on using the phase information of V2X OFDM signals to estimate distance differences more robustly. We investigated the impact of the sampling rate, a crucial parameter, and conducted simulation evaluations using 3D maps and ray-tracing. Additionally, we built a testbed and performed evaluations with real-world OFDM signal data, which demonstrates that phase information can significantly improve the accuracy of distance measurements.

Image segmentation of sea-land remote sensing images is of great importance for downstream applications including shoreline extraction,the monitoring of near-shore marine environment,and near-shore target *** mitigate large number of parameters and improve the segmentation accuracy,we propose a new Squeeze-Depth-Wise UNet(SDW-UNet)deep learning model for sea-land remote sensing image *** proposed SDW-UNet model leverages the squeeze-excitation and depth-wise separable convolution to construct new convolution modules,which enhance the model capacity in combining multiple channels and reduces the model *** further explore the effect of position-encoded information in NLP(Natural Language Processing)domain on sea-land segmentation *** have conducted extensive experiments to compare the proposed network with the mainstream segmentation network in terms of accuracy,the number of parameters and the time cost for *** test results on remote sensing data sets of Guam,Okinawa,Taiwan China,San Diego,and Diego Garcia demonstrate the effectiveness of SDW-UNet in recognizing different types of sea-land areas with a smaller number of parameters,reduces prediction time cost and improves performance over other mainstream segmentation *** also show that the position encoding can further improve the accuracy of model segmentation.

5G is driving change in the Internet of Things (IoT). It is a powerful technology for a new generation of use cases that leverage edge computing to make IoT more efficient and effective. This paper develops a new Smart network Slicing Provisioning Framework (SNSPF) that uses the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method to rank and select the proper telecommunication service provider that runs at certain edge Points of Presence (EPoP) of the 5G-based IOT network for slice deployment. The proposed MCDM approach integrates the Hexagonal Fuzzy approach with the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to address the shortcoming of the TOPSIS and to rank and select the proper EPoP that can host the network slice using numeric and fuzzy Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as the security, cost, and performance criteria. The experiment results depict that the average slice acceptance ratio of the SNSPF is higher than the current solutions such as GRU-DNN, VIKOR-CNSP, and T-S3RA by 28.2%, 10.13%, and 6.1%.

This paper proposes a method to overcome the cross-seam in a low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite network. In cross-seam, satellite links cannot be established due to differences in satellite movement directions. The proposed method involves utilizing ground relay to resolve this problem. The Walker-Star constellation has polar regions and cross-seams, where inter-satellite link connection is impossible due to relative velocity. In this paper, we compare the performance results in a satellite network when ground relay is utilized in a cross-seam. We analyze the propagation delay and the number of satellite hops. It analyzes satellite communication performance with and without a ground relay to major cities from Seoul. Also, the maximum performance improvement provided by the ground relay is analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the ground relay reduces propagation delay by up to 76% and reduces satellite hop count by 89%.

Emerging computing paradigms provide field-level service responses for users, for example, edge computing, fog computing, and MEC. Edge virtualization technologies represented by Docker can provide a platform-independent, low-resource-consumption operating environment for edge service. The image-pulling time of Docker is a crucial factor affecting the start-up speed of edge services. The layer reuse mechanism of native Docker cannot fully utilize the duplicate data of node local images. In this paper, we propose a chunk reuse mechanism (CRM), which effectively targets node-local duplicate data during container updates and reduces the volume of data transmission required for image building. We orchestrate the CRM process for cloud and remote-cloud nodes to ensure that the resource overhead from container update data preparation and image reconstruction is within an acceptable range. The experimental results show that the CRM proposed in this paper can effectively utilize the node local duplicate data in the synchronous update of containers in multiple nodes, reduce the volume of data transmission, and significantly improve container update efficiency. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Recently, integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) techniques have gained significant attention due to their ability to simultaneously perform sensing, localization, and communication using shared wireless resources and signal waveforms, thereby enhancing spectral and cost efficiency. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is also expected to remain a key technology in next-generation mobile communication systems due to its robustness against multipath fading and its strong support for high data rates. Building on these points, we propose a novel orthogonal sequence (OS)- based OFDM-ISAC technique fully compatible with conventional OFDM-based communication systems. This technique intelligently exploits the autocorrelation properties of OSs and the spectral efficiency of index modulation while incorporating a clustering algorithm to address challenges in multipath environments. Extensive computer simulations verify that the proposed OFDM-ISAC system delivers reliable communication and localization performance in realistic multipath environments. even in the absence of a line-of-sight (LOS) link.
