Multifunctional therapeutics have emerged as a solution to the constraints imposed by drugs with singular or insufficient therapeutic *** primary challenge is to integrate diverse pharmacophores within a single-molecule *** address this,we introduced DeepSA,a novel edit-based generative framework that utilizes deep simulated annealing for the modification of articaine,a wellknown local *** integrates deep neural networks into metaheuristics,effectively constraining molecular space during compound *** framework employs a sophisticated objective function that accounts for scaffold preservation,anti-inflammatory properties,and covalent *** a sequence of local editing to navigate the molecular space,DeepSA successfully identified AT-17,a derivative exhibiting potent analgesic properties and significant anti-inflammatory activity in various animal *** insights into AT-17 revealed its dual mode of action:selective inhibition of NaV1.7 and 1.8 channels,contributing to its prolonged local anesthetic effects,and suppression of inflammatory mediators via modulation of the NLRP3 inflammasome *** findings not only highlight the efficacy of AT-17 as a multifunctional drug candidate but also highlight the potential of DeepSA in facilitating AI-enhanced drug discovery,particularly within stringent chemical constraints.

Aiming how to achieve a high-precision furnace temperature curve in the production process of electronic products, a double-objective optimization model is established, which combines heat conduction and heat convection, and transforms it into a single objective to solve the optimal furnace temperature curve and important parameters through dynamic comprehensive weighting. In this paper, an improved ant colony algorithm has been proposed to address the issue. The population initialization method based on good points is set to make the initial population distribution more uniform. The nonlinear control parameter is utilized to balance the global search and local development ability during different iteration periods. The Markov process is executed to get a wider range of solutions. Compared with other intelligent algorithms, the results show that the improved ant colony algorithm avoids local premature phenomenon, has higher convergence, and the obtained results are more accurate. Using this algorithm to solve the problem can better face the field of precise temperature control. © 2022 IEEE.

Students majoring in engineering are thought not to perform well in courses of management theory as they do not practice management theory in the classroom. The scripted teaching cannot attract the students’ attention. Moreover, agile development, which is common in the industry, has not yet been practiced in the classroom, resulting in a gap between industry and academia. We offered “Drone Module Programming” and “Agile Development” projects in management courses. Students in the class were divided into several teams based on different agile tasks. Each team was supposed to “Develop a facial recognition drone”. We provided the drone learning materials online and implemented flipped teaching so that students could learn and practice drone programming online. In the classroom, we had meetings on project management and wrote project documents with students. By implementing this innovative teaching method, a significant difference was found in the learning outcomes of the students studying project management theory.

The most influential nodes are capable of generating maximum influence and widest information spread to their connected nodes in mobile social networks. Hence identifying high influential users plays an important role in monitoring network public opinion. However, influence maximization is an open and challenging issue, and existing works only focus on online social networks but fail to characterize the user social relations and social behavior. In this paper, firstly, we present a novel method based on location and preference relationships to calculate the social influence of users, and the initial nodes are identified by community partition. Secondly, according to the stochastic information spreading process in MSNs, we propose the Fluctuate Particle Swarm Optimization (FPSO)-algorithm to solve the problem of changing communication relationship between users at the optimization stage. Finally, we use extensive experiments on the real datasets to prove the effectiveness of the proposed FPSO-algorithm. The experimental evaluation shows that in the real networks, our proposal achieves better performance than other related methods. © 2022 ACM.

The Completeness of Reasoning Algorithms for Clause Sets in Description Logic ALC

On the Semantic Web, metadata and ontologies are used to enable computers to read data. The Web Ontology Language (OWL) has been proposed as a standard ontological language, and various inference systems for this language have been studied. Description logics are regarded as the theoretical foundations of OWL;they provide the syntax and semantics of a formal language for describing ontologies and knowledge bases. In addition, tableau algorithms for description logics have been developed as the standard reasoning algorithms for decidable problems. However, tableau algorithms generate inefficient reasoning steps owing to their nondeterministic branching for disjunction as well as the increase in the size of models occasioned by existential quantification. In this study, we propose conjunctive normal form (CNF) concepts, which utilize a flat concept form for description logic ALC in order to develop algorithms for reasoning about sets of clauses. We present an efficient reasoning algorithm for clause sets where any ALC concept is transformed into an equivalent CNF concept. Theoretically, we prove the soundness, completeness, and termination of the reasoning algorithms for the satisfiability of CNF concepts. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Memristors have proven since their discovery to play a very important role as artificial synapses in the implementation of artificial neural networks. Just as biological synapses, memristors can significantly influence the behaviors of the neural network. A non-polynomial memristor is used in this work to investigate the memristive synaptic weight effect on the dynamics of a simplified Rulkov neuron. The model is first introduced from where theoretical analyses show the system’s ability to develop regular and irregular behaviors. Analysis methods such as two parameter charts, bifurcation diagrams and maximum Lyapunov exponents (MLE) are then used to study the dynamics of the proposed Rulkov model. The numerical results show that the memristive synaptic weight Rulkov neuron model can exhibit self-excited and hidden firings. Furthermore, the system can undergo interesting offset boosting dynamics and antimonotonicity features (i.e., bubble bifurcations) for some system parameters. To corroborate the computational findings, the proposed model is implemented on an Arduino Due microcontroller board, from where the experimental results are seen to be in agreement with the obtained numerical results.

Partial duplication of existing videos is a widespread phenomenon afflicting the world. Old videos are re-circulated to fit an agenda or narrative. Such videos cause misunderstandings, often leading to clashes and violence. It is challenging for media companies to keep track of proprietary videos being trimmed and shared across various content-sharing platforms. Thus, the duplication of videos has social and economic repercussions and is a growing menace in the digital age. In this work, we propose a strategy for efficiently identifying duplicated videos. We create a system that first scans videos for important frames (called keyframes), collects and stores their hash values, and finally matches the hash of the keyframes of a new video with the existing ones in the archive to find a match. We have improved the existing methods of keyframe detection with an additional step of window selection to maintain a smooth transition between keyframes. We have used various hashing algorithms like perceptual hashing, differential hashing, and average hashing to find similarities between keyframes. Also, we have tested our pipeline on a recently published Partial Video Copy Detection (PVCD) dataset, which contains highly perturbed versions of the same video. Our method achieved an accuracy of 94% for a subset of the dataset. We finally propose a graph-based architecture to arrange the videos with similar ones clustered together. For any new video, we follow an innovative search strategy, comparing it with a representative video from each cluster and then iterating through selected clusters with high similarity scores. © 2022 IEEE.

This study proposes a comprehensive method to reduce the problems posed by global air pollution. To measure pollution levels and raise public awareness, the research uses a comprehensive strategy that incorporates image processing, time series analysis, chatbot, and facemask recognition. Time series analysis is used to build prediction models by recognizing historical patterns, and image processing techniques are used to examine cloud pictures for precise pollution predictions. Chatbots provide real time communication and may educate the public on environmental facts, health risks, and safety procedures. Additionally, it has a facemask identification system that monitors and promotes the use of masks. Importantly this not only encourages users to take action to reduce pollution but also utilizes predictive models to help mitigate pollution's consequences. These components result in improved public health, environmental conservation, and sustainability. The outcomes reflect significant advantages, with evidence of accuracy and its positive impact on both awareness and proactive measures to combat air pollution.

Block-Segmentation Vectors for Arousal Prediction using Semi-supervised Learning

To handle emotional expressions in computer applications, Russell’s circumplex model has been useful for representing emotions according to valence and arousal. In SentiWordNet, the level of valence is automatically assigned to a large number of synsets (groups of synonyms in WordNet) using semi-supervised learning. However, when assigning the level of arousal, the existing method proposed for SentiWordNet reduces the accuracy of sentiment prediction. In this paper, we propose a block-segmentation vector for predicting the arousal levels of many synsets from a small number of labeled words using semi-supervised learning. We analyze the distribution of arousal and non-arousal words in a corpus of sentences by comparing it with the distribution of valence words. We address the problem that arousal level prediction fails when arousal and non-arousal words are mixed together in some sentences. To capture the features of such arousal and non-arousal words, we generate word vectors based on inverted indexes by block IDs, where the corpus is divided into blocks in the flow of sentences. In the evaluation experiment, we show that the results of arousal prediction with the block-segmentation vectors outperform the results of the previous method in SentiWordNet.
