A reliable and secure video steganography method based on 4d-logistic mapping

Data security is becoming more and more crucial due to developments in communication and information technology, particularly when it comes to video transmission. This research provides a unique approach that combines 4D Logistic Mapping (4DLM) with MASK cryptography technology to improve video data security. The five steps of the suggested approach are as follows: gathering video, extracting frames, compressing data using the LZW technique, encrypting it using MASK, and embedding it using 4DLM. To protect the video frames, MASK encryption uses a single matrix and four arrays, advancing through matrix initialization, key scheduling, and substitution/diffusion. 4DLM is used after encryption to improve the system's overall security and effectiveness. This model's major goal is to keep performance high while safeguarding video data from unwanted access. Data confidentiality is significantly improved by the suggested strategy, as shown by simulations performed with the Python program. For the example video sequences, the Structural Similarity Index (SSIM) was close to 99%, which indicates better performance than current methods. MASK and 4D Logistic Mapping together provide a powerful answer for today's data security issues by providing an effective and safe method of video data protection. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

The application of noninvasive methods to enhance healthcare systems has been facilitated by the development of new technology. Among the four major cardiovascular diseases, stroke is one of the deadliest and potentially fatal, but, if detected early enough, a patient's life may be spared. Most stroke research has centered on MRI and CT scans for uncomplicated categorization. This medical approach (imaging) is costly, time-consuming and needs the utilization of complex technology. To make up for these shortcomings, however, there has been a lot of interest in adopting noninvasive, measurable EEGs. Nevertheless, the raw data should be classified before the proper characteristics can be formed, both the forecasting algorithms and the analytical techniques demand time. As a result, this work proposes a deep learning-based model that aims to predict the chance of stroke at an early stage utilizing Parkinson's disease and wrinkles as markers. A patient may have a stroke disease if they are diagnosed with both Parkinson's disease and wrinkles. To the best of our knowledge, this research is the first to use these biomarkers to predict the risk of having a stroke. The proposed model achieves a higher accuracy of 94.7% on the considered dataset. Additionally, the recommended model was evaluated and tested in terms of loss, training time, accuracy, recall, and F1-score versus the other existing models. With less price and pain than present testing approaches, these discoveries are predicted to result in major enhancements in the early detection of strokes. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

Introduction: Remote data exchange operations in healthcare are observed, consult-ed, monitored and treated by the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). It is an extension of the Internet of Things (IoT). Method: At the growing stage of IoT, IoMT is speedily drawing researchers’ interest due to its extensive use in healthcare systems. Smaller and lower-priced wireless devices with various communication protocols have led to the formation of IoMT. Healthcare data is exchanged through wireless communication with IoMT. The margining of IoMT and healthcare can yield multiple benefits in terms of: better quality of life, care services and developing solution/s at low cost. In this article, a systematic literature review has been conducted on IoMT. Results: Authors have thoroughly investigated the different versions of healthcare 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 as proposed by the healthcare industry. Furthermore, the taxonomy of IoMT has been designed and compared with existing surveys. Conclusion: This survey is unique and stands different from the point of view of existing sur-veys. It supports the future of IoMT researchers to bring new insight to their researches. © 2024 Bentham Science Publishers.

Growth model for detection and removal of faults having different severity with single change point and imperfect debugging

Throughout the last decades, researchers have modelled a variety of software reliability growth models for estimating measures of reliability. In the present paper, we have classified faults into four divergent types as per their easiness and hardness in detection and removal. Also, variations in fault detection and correction rates can be because of the testing strategy, changing testing environment, motivation, proficiency and organisation of the debugging and testing teams, etc. In the present paper, a change point has been applied to four types of faults along with imperfect debugging during the correction of faults. This paper comprises two proposed software reliability growth models, which are compared on the basis of rate of detection as well as correction. All the model parameters are evaluated by the method of least squares. These models are assessed using various comparison measures like SSE, MSE, RMSE, Bias, variance and RMSPE. Quad Band Split Octagonal Ring Antenna with Integrated Stub for Satellite Communication-Dependent Wireless Applications

The purpose of this study is to design a multiband antenna using metamaterial for efficient satellite communication. The majority of the antennae described in the available research suffer from a variety of limitations, including intricate designs, great footprints, and erratic radiation patterns. Therefore, there is a significant demand for antennae that are of a smaller size but nevertheless perform well. This paper proposes a quad-band stub-incorporated split octagonal ring antenna for satellite communication-dependent wireless applications. The suggested antenna is built on an FR4 substrate that measures 22 × 39 × 1.6 mm3. CST EM studio software is used for the entire simulation. The proposed antenna resonates at four different bands, with operating frequencies ranging from 2.15 GHz to 2.30 GHz, 2.86 GHz to 3.76 GHz (due to stub 1), 4.47 GHz to 5.24 GHz (due to stub 2), and 5.67 GHz to 6.35 GHz (due to stub 3). (due to gap between the stub). The proposed antenna has resonant frequencies of 2.23 GHz, 3.28 GHz, 4.77 GHz, and 5.89 GHz, and bandwidths of 153 MHz, 9011 MHz, 7692 MHz, and 6813 MHz. Parametric analysis is used to select the best values. The designed antenna is built and tested. The measured and simulated values for return loss, gain, E-plane, and H-plane are compared, and they agree. Its dual-band operation, compact size, steady radiation pattern, and gain above 1 dBi across the whole resonating band make it suited for ISM, WIFI, WLAN, WIMAX, 5G, and C band satellite applications. © 2024, Electromagnetics Academy. Blockchain with drug traceability in medical supply chain with Henry gas solubility optimisation algorithm

The drug traceability model is used for ensuring drug quality and its safety for customers in the medical supply chain. The healthcare supply chain is a complex network, which is susceptible to failures and leakage of information because of cyber security attacks. Hence, this research aims to design a blockchain to perform traceability of drugs using Henry Gas Solubility Optimisation (HGSO). The entities include distributors, wholesalers, retailers, blockchain and patients. This model comprises initialisation, registration, key generation, authentication, drug distribution with traceability and key generation phases. Any exchange of medicines needs the approval of both sender and receiver. The drugs are registered in the blockchain, which then generates a secret key that is obtained using HGSO. The verification and authentication of drugs are performed after the authentication process. The implemented model outperformed with the response time, memory, normalised variance, and privacy of 32.678 sec, 84 MB, 0.958 and 0.958. Copyright © 2025 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Modified Bat Algorithm: a newly proposed approach for solving complex and real-world problems

Bat Algorithm (BA) is a nature-inspired metaheuristic search algorithm designed to efficiently explore complex problem spaces and find near-optimal solutions. The algorithm is inspired by the echolocation behavior of bats, which acts as a signal system to estimate the distance and hunt prey. Although the BA has proven effective for various optimization problems, it exhibits limited exploration ability and susceptibility to local optima. The algorithm updates velocities and positions based on the current global best solution, causing all agents to converge toward a specific location, potentially leading to local optima issues in optimization problems. On this premise, this paper proposes the Modified Bat Algorithm (MBA) as an enhancement to address the local optima limitation observed in the original BA. MBA incorporates the frequency and velocity of the current best solution, enhancing convergence speed to the optimal solution and preventing local optima entrapment. While the original BA faces diversity issues, both the original BA and MBA are introduced. To assess MBA’s performance, three sets of test functions (classical benchmark functions, CEC2005, and CEC2019) are employed, with results compared to those of the original BA, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Genetic Algorithm (GA), and Dragonfly Algorithm (DA). The outcomes demonstrate the MBA’s significant superiority over other algorithms. In addition, MBA successfully addresses a real-world assignment problem (call center problem), traditionally solved using linear programming methods, with satisfactory results. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Exploring the Impact of Different Similarity Measures on Query-by-Example Spoken Term Detection

The growth in Internet audio data has highlighted the need for accurate and efficient search methodologies. In this context, query-by-example spoken term detection (QbE-STD) plays a pivotal role, mainly when dealing with multilingual datasets lacking proper transcription information. Recent advancements in the field include integrating convolutional neural networks (CNN) as classifiers, emphasizing the computation of matching matrices for accurate term detection. This research conducts a comparative analysis of similarity measures for QbE-STD, aiming to highlight the performance differences across different metrics. The results reveal distinctive patterns in accuracy, with kernel-based measures leading the pack. Distance-based measures demonstrate comparable accuracies, albeit slightly lower than other metrics, while DTW yields the lowest accuracy. The implications of these findings extend to optimizing QbE-STD systems, guiding practitioners in selecting suitable similarity measures based on their specific requirements. The study contributes valuable insights to spoken term detection, paving the way for enhanced methodologies in audio search applications. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Exploring ensemble optimized voting and stacking classifiers through Cross-validation for early detection of suicidal ideation

Detecting behavioral changes associated with suicidal ideation on social media is essential yet complex. While machine learning and deep learning hold promise in this regard, current studies often lack generalizability due to single dataset reliance. Traditional embedding techniques struggle with semantic analysis,leading to challenges in achieving high accuracy models and conventional validation methods have data drift limitations. To address these challenges, this study proposes a novel evaluation approach using natural language processing across diverse platforms like Twitter and Reddit. By integrating BERT embedding, adept at handling semantic nuances, with an optimized Stacked Classifier combining different base classifiers and XGBoost as the meta-classifier, the model excels in swiftly detecting signs of suicidal ideation compared to the Voting Classifier, i.e., the combination of Decision Tree, Random Forest, Gradient Boost and XGBoost and several machine learning models. Additionally, the study explores advanced embedding techniques like MUSE and LLM, and deep learning models including Bi-LSTM, Bi-GRU, and Text-CNN for *** ensemble approach aims to create a model that is not only interpretable but also robust, reducing computational complexity and enhancing resilience against noisy data - common challenges faced in text classification tasks. Through K-fold validation, which involves partitioning the dataset into k equal-sized subsets or "folds"and training the model k times, using k-1 folds for training and one-fold for testing each time, the proposed model achieves impressive accuracy rates of 97% on Reddit and 96% on Twitter datasets, underscoring its effectiveness in identifying suicidal ideation across social media platforms. © 2024 - IOS Press.
