Accurately predicting nearby agents' future trajectories is fundamental for ensuring the safety and efficiency of autonomous driving. However, existing learning-based trajectory prediction models struggle with poor generalization to out-of-distribution (OOD) scenes, potentially leading to failed predictions in real-world applications. To tackle this challenge, we introduce IMGTP, a unified framework for systematically evaluating, improving, and measuring the generalization performance of trajectory prediction models in OOD scenes. IMGTP consists of three primary components: the Argoverse-Shift dataset, the FrenÃ©t+ strategy, and an approach for OOD measurement. First, the Argoverse-Shift is a cross-domain dataset that highlights the significant differences in data distributions across domains, serving as a testing platform for models' generalization ability. Second, the FrenÃ©t+ strategy leverages map centerlines and the FrenÃ©t Frame to enhance the generalizability of baseline models by mitigating the domain gap resulting from road geometry variations. Third, we provide a comprehensive evaluation methodology for OOD measurement, quantifying the range of data that can be effectively handled by prediction models. This measurement approach employs the accuracy rate of the correctly predicted samples and their corresponding mean distance as well as standard deviation to the training set center as indicators of the model's generalization ability. The mean distance also serves as a valid criterion for OOD detection and uncertainty quantification. Experimental results demonstrate that our IMGTP framework enhances the generalization capability of mainstream trajectory prediction models by substantially improving their prediction performance in unseen domains. Speaker diarization is typically considered as a discriminative task, using discriminative approaches to produce fixed diarization results. In this paper, we explore for the first time the use of neural network-based generative methods for speaker diarization. We implement a Flow-Matching (FM) based generative algorithm within the sequenceto-sequence target speaker voice activity detection (Seq2Seq-TSVAD) diarization system. Our experiments reveal that applying the generative method directly to the original binary label sequence space of the TS-VAD output is ineffective. To address this issue, we propose mapping the binary label sequence into a dense latent space before applying the generative algorithm, and our proposed Flow-TSVAD method can significantly outperform the traditional Seq2Seq-TSVAD system. Additionally, we observe that the FM algorithm converges rapidly during the inference stage, only requiring two inference steps to achieve promising results. Moreover, as a generative model, Flow-TSVAD allows for sampling different diarization results by running the model multiple times, so the ensemble system combining the results from various sampling instances can further boost the diarization performance.

Wireless sensor network (WSN) installation and power allocation optimization for cybersecurity purposes are difficult tasks which include a well-thought-out method that strikes a balance between goals such as the energy efficiency, connectivity and cyber threat resistance while improving overall system performance and cybersecurity. A novel multi-task walrus optimization (MTWO) technique is offered in this study. The installation and power allocation problem (IPAP) with several jobs is established in this research. The suggested MTWO is used to split the IPAP into numerous scalar components, which are consequently grouped and treated by their desired goals. We evaluate the proposed MTWO approach using simulations and show that it works well in practice. The findings demonstrate that power distribution and installation for cybersecurity activities on WSNs can be improved by the MTWO. The superiority of the problem specific MTWO over the MOGA has been demonstrated by simulation outcome in several network cases, offering a wide range of excellent network designs to aid in the decision-maker selection.

In accented voice conversion or accent conversion, we seek to convert the accent in speech from one another while preserving speaker identity and semantic content. In this study, we formulate a novel method for creating multi-accented speech samples, thus pairs of accented speech samples by the same speaker, through text transliteration for training accent conversion systems. We begin by generating transliterated text with Large Language Models (LLMs), which is then fed into multilingual TTS models to synthesize accented English speech. As a reference system, we built a sequence-to-sequence model on the synthetic parallel corpus for accent conversion. We validated the proposed method for both native and non-native English speakers. Subjective and objective evaluations further validate our dataset’s effectiveness in accent conversion studies.

There are a variety of features of the human voice that can be classified as pitch, timbre, loudness, and vocal tone. It is observed in numerous incidents that human expresses their feelings using different vocal qualities when they are speaking. The primary objective of this research is to recognize different emotions of human beings such as anger, sadness, fear, neutrality, disgust, pleasant surprise, and happiness by using several MATLAB functions namely, spectral descriptors, periodicity, and harmonicity. To accomplish the work, we analyze the CREMA-D (Crowd-sourced Emotional Multimodal Actors data) & TESS (Toronto Emotional Speech Set) datasets of human speech. The audio file contains data that have various characteristics (e.g., noisy, speedy, slow) thereby the efficiency of the ML (Machine Learning) models increases significantly. The EMD (Empirical Mode Decomposition) is utilized for the process of signal decomposition. Then, the features are extracted through the use of several techniques such as the MFCC, GTCC, spectral centroid, roll-off point, entropy, spread, flux, harmonic ratio, energy, skewness, flatness, and audio delta. The data is trained using some renowned ML models namely, Support Vector Machine, Neural Network, Ensemble, and KNN. The algorithms show an accuracy of 67.7%, 63.3%, 61.6%, and 59.0% respectively for the test data and 77.7%, 76.1%, 99.1%, and 61.2% for the training data. We have conducted experiments using Matlab and the result shows that our model is very prominent and flexible than existing similar works. © 2023, CC BY.

Speaker individuality information is among the most critical elements within speech signals. By thoroughly and accurately modeling this information, it can be utilized in various intelligent speech applications, such as speaker recognition, speaker diarization, speech synthesis, and target speaker extraction. In this overview, we present a comprehensive review of neural approaches to speaker representation learning from both theoretical and practical perspectives. Theoretically, we discuss speaker encoders ranging from supervised to self-supervised learning algorithms, standalone models to large pretrained models, pure speaker embedding learning to joint optimization with downstream tasks, and efforts toward interpretability. Practically, we systematically examine approaches for robustness and effectiveness, introduce and compare various open-source toolkits in the field. Through the systematic and comprehensive review of the relevant literature, research activities, and resources, we provide a clear reference for researchers in the speaker characterization and modeling field, as well as for those who wish to apply speaker modeling techniques to specific downstream tasks. CLAPSep: Leveraging Contrastive Pre-trained Model for Multi-Modal Query-Conditioned Target Sound Extraction

Universal sound separation (USS) aims to extract arbitrary types of sounds from real-world recordings. This can be achieved by language-queried target sound extraction (TSE), which typically consists of two components: a query network that converts user queries into conditional embeddings, and a separation network that extracts the target sound accordingly. Existing methods commonly train models from scratch. As a consequence, substantial data and computational resources are required to make the randomly initialized model comprehend sound events and perform separation accordingly. In this paper, we propose to integrate pre-trained models into TSE models to address the above issue. To be specific, we tailor and adapt the powerful contrastive language-audio pre-trained model (CLAP) for USS, denoted as CLAPSep. CLAPSep also accepts flexible user inputs, taking both positive and negative user prompts of uni- and/or multi-modalities for target sound extraction. These key features of CLAPSep can not only enhance the extraction performance but also improve the versatility of its application. We provide extensive experiments on 5 diverse datasets to demonstrate the superior performance and zero- and few-shot generalizability of our proposed CLAPSep with fast training convergence, surpassing previous methods by a significant margin. Hyperbolic Neural Network Based Preselection for Expensive Multi-Objective Optimization

A series of surrogate-assisted evolutionary algorithms (SAEAs) have been proposed for expensive multi-objective optimization problems (EMOPs), building cheap surrogate models to replace the expensive real function evaluations. However, the search efficiency of these SAEAs is not yet satisfactory. More efforts are needed to further exploit useful information from the real function evaluations in order to better guide the search process. Facing this challenge, this paper proposes a Hyperbolic Neural Network (HNN) based preselection operator to accelerate the optimization process based on limited evaluated solutions. First, the preselection task is modeled as a multi-label classification problem where solutions are classified into different layers (ordinal categories) through -relaxed objective aggregation. Second, in order to resemble the hierarchical structure of candidate solutions, a hyperbolic neural network is applied to tackle the multi-label classification problem. The reason for using HNN is that hyperbolic spaces more closely resemble hierarchical structures than Euclidean spaces. Moreover, to alleviate the data deficiency issue, a data augmentation strategy is employed for training the HNN. In order to evaluate its performance, the proposed HNN-based preselection operator is embedded into two surrogate-assisted evolutionary algorithms. Experimental results on two benchmark test suites and three real-world problems with up to 11 objectives and 150 decision variables involving seven state-of-the-art algorithms demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. GPTR: Gestalt-Perception Transformer for Diagram Object Detection

Diagram object detection is the key basis of practical applications such as textbook question answering. Because the diagram mainly consists of simple lines and color blocks, its visual features are sparser than those of natural images. In addition, diagrams usually express diverse knowledge, in which there are many low-frequency object categories in diagrams. These lead to the fact that traditional data-driven detection model is not suitable for diagrams. In this work, we propose a gestalt-perception transformer model for diagram object detection, which is based on an encoder-decoder architecture. Gestalt perception contains a series of laws to explain human perception, that the human visual system tends to perceive patches in an image that are similar, close or connected without abrupt directional changes as a perceptual whole object. Inspired by these thoughts, we build a gestalt-perception graph in transformer encoder, which is composed of diagram patches as nodes and the relationships between patches as edges. This graph aims to group these patches into objects via laws of similarity, proximity, and smoothness implied in these edges, so that the meaningful objects can be effectively detected. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed GPTR achieves the best results in the diagram object detection task. A smart helmet is a type of protective headgear used by the rider, which makes bike driving safer than before. Nowadays road accidents occur very frequently in our daily lives because motorcyclists are not always wearing helmets. To avoid road accidents, motorcyclists have to wear helmets. By wearing it, riders can save their life up to some instant. In this paper, we proposed a smart helmet system based on Arduino and loT devices named Ultrasonic sensor, Vibration sensor, GPS module, MQ-3 Alcohol sensor, Wi-Fi module, IR sensor, and Relay module. This system aims to improve the safety of riders. The design of this smart helmet is to detect whether the user wears a helmet or not with the help of an IR sensor. Apart from this, this smart system can detect whether the user is an alcoholic or not. If the user is alcoholic, the ignition of the bike gets OFF. Only the ignition gets ON while the users wear a helmet and do not drink alcohol. It will benefit riders and medical practitioners when an accident occurs with immediate treatment. This will bring more safety to bike riding and will save many lives as well.
