This paper describes an innovative mobile phone application, named Rokkha that allows users to send location to predefined contacts by SMS to improve personal safety without internet connectivity. It discusses the development of the application, highlighting its offline functionality, intuitive interface, and the potential implications for emergency response systems. The literature review reveals the fact that in many of the existing emergency applications, connectivity with data is essential. Rokkha addresses this gap by providing a reliable alternative for location sharing during emergencies, particularly in areas with limited or no internet access. This paper aims to cover the designing considerations, implementation challenges and greater impact of using Rokkha in terms of reduced essential response time and assistance in crisis.

Big data has emerged very fast, and this has brought both opportunities and problems that are related to the application of deep learning. This paper explores how deep learning can be implemented using big data and in particular the Apache Mahout library. Unlike most other machine learning tools, Mahout can perform distributed computation, especially while using the MapReduce frameworks including Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark. However, this study does not only focus on the explanation of the need for Mahout's integration and employment but also carries out a high-fidelity argument on how deep learning algorithms can be incorporated in the Mahout framework to optimize the manipulation of large and complicated datasets. Mahout-based contributions include the comparative analysis of key deep learning paradigms including distributed processing, parallel processing and transfer learning. This paper also includes examples of the Mahout deep learning integration use and its application in real contexts. This article describes the challenges that currently organizations face in handling big data and indeed, the potential threats these challenges pose to the success of deep learning techniques when used in organizations’ big data processing and analysis.

Despite the multiple advantages of the Internet-of-Things (IoT), many users are still skeptical considering IoT as another disruptive information and communication technology that is "silently" invading their privacy with the risk of having their habits, preferences, and choices exposed publicly. To mitigate this silent invasion, this paper looks into innovative ways of making IoT sensitive to privacy by first, allowing users to explicitly express what is permitted, forbidden, and obliged over their personal data using the Open Digital Rights Language (ODRL), and second, adjusting things’ specifications like theWeb-of-Things Thing Description (WoT TD), so that things would act according to these users’ permissions, prohibitions, and obligations. A system implementing and demonstrating the blend of ODRL with WoT TD is presented based on a case study capturing privacy concerns in a center for elderly people. © 2023 by SCITEPRESS-science and Technology Publications, Lda.

Natural language processing (NLP) is a branch of artificial intelligence (AI) that enables computers to comprehend, generate, and manipulate human language. Natural language processing can interrogate the data with natural language text or voice. Abstractive Text Summarization is based on the Natural Language Processing technique that tries to provide new and more concise textual summaries for huge texts. Artificial intelligence and deep learning techniques are used in abstractive summarization to examine the text's essential information and create a new summary that conveys the content more concisely and accurately. This type of summary differs from normal extractive summarizing in that it can generate new summaries beyond simply extracting key lines from the source text. This study presents an abstractive Arabic summarization based on the Multilingual T5 (MT5) model AASMT5 to address these concerns. This technique is based on deep neural networks and models like transformers, which have changed the ability to summarize text. This research has explored the various types of summarizations and highlighted the significance of two prominent techniques: abstractive and extractive summarization. This research describes a complete process for developing an Arabic abstractive summarization model using the MT5 architecture. Experiments on different datasets show that this model achieves state-of-the-art results across MT5.

The use of batteries as an energy storage medium has a very important role in the installation of renewable energy power plants, such as photovoltaics to overcome intermittency in photovoltaics and to maintain stable power quality. In this study, the installation of solar plants that was used as the research object was a smart micro grid that integrates photovoltaic electrical energy sources with the Utility electricity network for residential scale. The battery monitoring system is used to manage the performance of existing batteries on the electricity grid through analysis of the battery's electrical values such as current, voltage, power and energy, so that it can function optimally in storing electrical energy and supplying electricity to users. Internet of things (IoT) technology is used to provide easy transfer of data obtained through the process of data acquisition to data visualization provided to be accessed by users in real time. This research aims to develop an IoT-based battery monitoring system. The development carried out focuses on the data acquisition process, the data transfer process using IoT technology, the process of analyzing and visualizing data on the IoT cloud and remote access to users.

The Internet of Drones(IoD)offers synchronized access to organized airspace for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(known as drones).The availability of inexpensive sensors,processors,and wireless communication makes it possible in real time *** several applications comprise IoD in real time environment,significant interest has been received by research *** IoD operates in wireless environment,it is needed to design effective intrusion detection system(IDS)to resolve security issues in the IoD *** article introduces ametaheuristics feature selection with optimal stacked autoencoder based intrusion detection(MFSOSAEID)in the IoD *** major intention of the MFSOSAE-ID technique is to identify the occurrence of intrusions in the IoD *** do so,the proposed MFSOSAE-ID technique firstly pre-processes the input data into a compatible *** addition,the presented MFSOSAEID technique designs a moth flame optimization based feature selection(MFOFS)technique to elect appropriate ***,firefly algorithm(FFA)with stacked autoencoder(SAE)model is employed for the recognition and classification of intrusions in which the SAE parameters are optimally tuned with utilize of *** performance validation of the MFSOSAE-ID model was tested utilizing benchmark dataset and the outcomes implied the promising performance of the MFSOSAE-ID model over other techniques with maximum accuracy of 99.72%.

Globalization, industry, and population growth is considered the main reasons for climate change, so when some natural calamity or disaster occurs in any area, it leads to isolating this area from the rest of the region. Wireless ad hoc networks are important in disaster management to reduce losses and costs as they reduce the response, aiding time to save lives. However, they suffer from limited energy, which controls the lifetime of the sensor. Different methods are applied to save energy and increase battery life, such as sleep-awake schedules which assume similar initial energy for all nodes. Domestic partition in a unit disk graph is the production of the maximum possible number of such disjoint dominants. However, it assumes different initial energy levels for all nodes, which is another problem. In this paper, a new broadcast approach based on minimum set data broadcasting is proposed to mini-mize the number of broadcasting messages to increase the battery life during disasters and enhance rescue operations. The proposed minimum rebroadcast algorithm (MSRA) method balances coverage and utilization efficiency by dynamically adjusting node selection based on network conditions. The results show that MSRA significantly reduces power consumption and transmission latency, opening the way to find a new solution for disaster management using wireless ad hoc networks. © 2024 by the authors of this article.

The rapid growth of electronic commerce (e-commerce) has revolutionized the global business landscape, transforming the way consumers and businesses interact, purchase, and sell goods and services. However, this sector faces a myriad of challenges that impede its sustainable growth and development. This research paper critically examines the current problems encountered by the electronic commerce sector and proposes viable solutions to address these issues. The study identifies three major problem areas affecting the sector: (1) Security and Privacy Concerns, (2) Logistics and Supply Chain Bottlenecks, and (3) Customer Experience and Trust. Regarding security and privacy, the proliferation of cyber-attacks, data breaches, and identity theft has eroded consumer confidence, hindering e-commerce adoption. The paper aims to investigate the latest technologies and best practices, such as blockchain, advanced encryption techniques, and robust authentication methods, to fortify e-commerce platforms against cyber threats and safeguard user data. The second problem area, logistics and supply chain bottleneck, poses challenges related to order fulfilment, inventory management, and last-mile delivery. Through an in-depth analysis, the research proposes innovative approaches like utilizing machine learning algorithms for predictive inventory management, integrating Internet of Things (IoT) devices for real-time tracking, and exploring drone and autonomous vehicle deliveries to enhance overall logistics efficiency. The third issue addressed in this paper pertains to customer experience and trust. The inability to tangibly experience products before purchase, coupled with ambiguous return policies, often deters potential customers from engaging in e-commerce transactions.
