Everyone has a fundamental desire for sleep. By sleeping, humans can conserve energy and replenish their stamina to optimal levels. Lighting is one component that influences the quality of a person's sleep. One of them is a person who sleeps with the lights on, suffers from nyctophobia, has poor sleep quality, and may be responsible for several illnesses. This study aims to develop a smart lighting device that will aid in treating youngsters with nyctophobia to get used to sleeping with the lights off to improve their sleep quality. The case study methodology used in this study entails the development of a prototype. This method employs an oximeter as a heart rate detector and a sensor comparison as the measurement device. Arduino Uno circuit and heart rate sensor are the main devices in this research. At the same time, the NRF 24L01 is a communication medium between the two Arduino Uno boards. The experimental measurements in normal conditions indicate that the heart rate sensor was nearly the same as the value displayed by the oximeter. Similarly, after running for 1 minute, both devices produced almost identical results, with an average difference of 1 Beats Per Minute (BPM). According to experiments with a heart rate sensor, the switch-off condition can be activated if the heart rate hits 90 BPM. In this case, the light will switch off once the heart rate hits 70 BPM, which might be used for sleeping individuals.

Currently, almost every nation struggles with the idea of smart cities to adopt city management. Several previous studies have produced many models to measure the quality of ISS. In previous studies, service quality and experience in smart city applications were measured and assessed. However, a few works still examine the service quality of the Smart District model, which varies quite strongly from the overall smart city concept. This research aims to assess the service quality of mobile-based smart regions or districts. The model and approach used are the E-Government Adoption Model (GAM). This model is a development of the previous model, such as technology adoption model (TAM), diffusion of innovation theory (DOI), and theory of prohibited behavior (TPB). Two hundred eighty-three participants interviewed succeeded in collecting data collection using online and offline survey methods, data processing using AMOS 24.0 software. Research findings show that the variables in the GAM model reflect a positive relationship and are significant in terms of quality measures for intelligent district services. This study contributes to explain the effective use of intelligent regional mobile devices. This research shows that governments and policymakers focus more on important issues affecting the quality of smart cellular service. © 2020 IEEE.

The pansharpening of high-resolution panchromatic (Pan) image and low-resolution multispectral (MS) images represents an important task in the remote sensing field. It allows the joint exploitation of the information derived from both types of images. However, this may cause a distortion of spectral information or a lack in details and structures. The multiresolution analysis using wavelet transforms has proved its efficiency in the pansharpening domain, due to the representation of the image content over different resolution levels. In image fusion applications, we always need more detail information to be incorporated in the pansharpening procedure in order to produce enhanced results. However, the limitation of the wavelet transform to three types of oriented detail coefficients prevents this need from being met. To overcome this limitation, we propose to use the redundant contourlet transform (RCT) which extracts a richer multiscale directional information from the image. For this purpose, two RCT-based pansharpening methods are introduced and suitable data fusion procedures are described. We conducted several experiments on two different datasets acquired respectively by ALSAT-2A and IKONOS satellites. The visual results as well as quantitative results from evaluation metrics demonstrate the performance of the proposed methods.

The Mekong River Basin (MRB) is one of the highest biodiversity areas in the world and is the vital source of livelihoods for more than 60 millions of people over six countries in Southeast Asia. However, it is suffering from a severe sediment starvation problem caused by climate change and human activities, particularly dam constructions. Understanding long-term sediment changes thus plays a crucial role for management and contingency plans. Current sediment concentration data in the MRB are extremely sporadic, making it a non-trivial task to analyze them. This paper focuses on the sediment reconstruction to provide long-term reliable suspended sediment concentration (SSC) data using Machine Learning (ML) perspectives. In particular, a novel semi-supervised ML model, which can effectively deal with data sparsity, is introduced to predict/reconstruct missing sediment data. The key idea of this approach is to exploit abundant available hydroclimate data to reduce training overfitting rather than solely relying on sediment concentration data, thus enhancing the accuracy of the employed ML models. Extensive experiments on data obtained from 1979 to 2019 at the three main stations (i.e., Chiang Saen, Nong Khai, and Mukdahan) are conducted to demonstrate the performances of the proposed method compared to other state-of-the-art supervised techniques and traditional simulation methods commonly used in previous sediment forecasting/reconstruction studies. To the best of our knowledge, this approach is the first semi-supervised method to reconstruct sediment data in the field. Though this study focuses on the MRB, sediment sparsity is a very common problem in other river systems worldwide. Thus, this method can be widely applied for them for more effective sediment reconstruction/prediction in general. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In 2022, tobacco was the top export commodity, generating $106.3 million in sales. East Java Province contributes significantly to Indonesia's tobacco production, with an annual output of 188.6 thousand tons. Jember Regency is the area in East Java Province which is a Kasturi tobacco cultivation area. The productivity of Kasturi tobacco continues to decrease due to several factors that can affect the survival of the tobacco. This study aims to analyze the survival of Kasturi tobacco by creating stratified Cox and extended Cox models in order to handle factors that cannot fulfill the proportional hazard assumption. Based on the results of the analysis, the stratified Cox model is the best model with AIC and BIC values of 798.108 and 805.5748 respectively, while the extended Cox has AIC and BIC values of 840.2186 and 850.1732 respectively. Variables that can significantly affect the survival of Kasturi tobacco are the variable concentration of ZA fertilizer, pesticide concentration. The addition of ZA fertilizer must be appropriate, because if excessive it can cause poisoning of tobacco plants. Likewise with pesticides, if excessive it will cause damage to the leaves. This policy can increase the productivity of Kasturi tobacco. Then, Jember Regency contributes greater export capacity. • This paper aims to determine the factors that affect the survival of Kasturi tobacco plants in Jember • By using the extended Cox model, the best one is obtained using the Heaviside function with AIC and BIC values of 840.2186 and 850.1732, respectively • The stratified Cox model is better than the extended Cox model, which has AIC and BIC values of 798.108 and 805.5748, respectively

AI-optimized electrochemical aptasensors are transforming diagnostic testing by offering high sensitivity, selectivity, and rapid response times. Leveraging data-driven AI techniques, these sensors provide a non-invasive, cost-effective alternative to traditional methods, with applications in detecting molecular biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and coronavirus. The performance metrics outlined in the comparative table illustrate the significant advancements enabled by AI integration. Sensitivity increases from 60 to 75 % in ordinary aptasensors to 85–95 %, while specificity improves from 70-80 % to 90–98 %. This enhanced performance allows for ultra-low detection limits, such as 10 fM for carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and 20 fM for mucin-1 (MUC1) using Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), and 1 pM for prostate-specific antigen (PSA) with Differential Pulse Voltammetry (DPV). Similarly, Square Wave Voltammetry (SWV) and potentiometric sensors have detected alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) at 5 fM and epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) at 100 fM, respectively. AI integration also enhances reproducibility, reduces false positives and negatives (from 15-20 % to 5–10 %), and significantly decreases response times (from 10-15 s to 2–3 s). These advancements improve data processing speeds (from 10 to 20 min per sample to 2–5 min) and calibration accuracy (<2 % margin of error compared to 5–10 %), while expanding application scope to multi-target biomarker detection. This review highlights how these advancements position AI-optimized electrochemical aptasensors as powerful tools for personalized treatment, point-of-care testing, and continuous health monitoring. Despite a higher cost ($500-$1,500/unit), their enhanced portability and diagnostic performance promise to revolutionize healthcare, environmental monitoring, and food safety, ultimately improving public health outcomes. © 2024

Network Forensics (NFs) is a branch of digital forensics which used to detect and capture potential digital crimes over computer networked environments crime. Network Forensic Tools (NFTs) and Network Forensic Processes (NFPs) have abilities to examine networks, collect all normal and abnormal traffic/data, help in network incident analysis, and assist in creating an appropriate incident detection and reaction and also create a forensic hypothesis that can be used in a court of law. Also, it assists in examining the internal incidents and exploitation of assets, attack goals, executes threat evaluation, also by evaluating network performance. According to existing literature, there exist quite a number of NFTs and NTPs that are used for identification, collection, reconstruction, and analysing the chain of incidents that happen on networks. However, they were vary and differ in their roles and functionalities. The main objective of this paper, therefore, is to assess and see the distinction that exist between Network Forensic Tools (NFTs) and Network Forensic Processes (NFPs). Precisely, this paper focuses on comparing among four famous NFTs: Xplico, OmniPeek, NetDetector, and NetIetercept. The outputs of this paper show that the Xplico tool has abilities to identify, collect, reconstruct, and analyse the chain of incidents that happen on networks than other NF tools. © 2021, CC BY.

In the era of global digitalization, digital innovation hubs have become essential, as they function as transforming forces. In this paper, we provide an analysis of the Montenegrin Academic Digital Innovation Hub by applying multi-criteria qualitative evaluation over several criteria: process flow of fully digitized operations of the Hub (with aspects of the innovation life-cycle, ethics, and security), resource management, strategic goals, and feasibility. The paper also proposes a model of comprehensive resource management via the perspective of smart specialization priorities of Montenegro.

In outcome base education, we need to utilize students' feedback as one of the key inputs to determine the effectiveness of teaching and learning activities of a university. Analyzing only rating scores does not reveal the true sentiment of students. Textual comments are more reflected true sentiment of the students. This paper is to implement a feedback analysis system based on rating score and textual comments. We used two types of dataset which include rating scores and textual comments, respectively. K-means clustering algorithm is used to cluster rating scores. Classification models are built with various classification algorithms using labeled dataset that got from clustering step. For textual comment analysis, we used Naïve Bayes classifier to train a model and classify test dataset into negative and positive sentiments using 10-fold cross validation. We also tested the model to classify the unlabeled textual comments. According to experimental results, we found that Support Vector Machine gives the best precision result for rating score classification. For textual comment analysis, Naïve Bayes classifier gives optimum result. © 2020 IEEE.

Integrated sensing and communications (ISAC) has emerged as a pivotal enabling technology for next-generation wireless networks. Despite the distinct signal design requirements of sensing and communication (S&C) systems, shifting the symbol-wise pulse shaping (SWiPS) framework from communication-only systems to ISAC poses significant challenges in signal design and processing This paper addresses these challenges by examining the ambiguity function (AF) of the SWiPS ISAC signal and introducing a novel pulse shaping design for single-carrier ISAC transmission. We formulate optimization problems to minimize the average integrated sidelobe level (ISL) of the AF, as well as the weighted ISL (WISL) while satisfying inter-symbol interference (ISI), out-of-band emission (OOBE), and power constraints. Our contributions include establishing the relationship between the AFs of both the random data symbols and signaling pulses, analyzing the statistical characteristics of the AF, and developing algorithmic frameworks for pulse shaping optimization using successive convex approximation (SCA) and alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) approaches. Numerical results are provided to validate our theoretical analysis, which demonstrate significant performance improvements in the proposed SWiPS design compared to the root-raised cosine (RRC) pulse shaping for conventional communication systems.
