Smart home IoT devices have always been the target of various cyber attacks. By leveraging the smart home monitoring infrastructure, event-based anomaly detection is effective to detect anomalies that cause unfavorable working state of IoT devices. However, IoT events are proven to be vulnerable to event-targeted attacks which could be achieved by exploiting the vulnerabilities embedded in IoT devices, protocols and/or platforms. Thus, existing event-based anomaly detection is not robust in the case of unreliable input. To address this issue, our insight is that the embedded microphone components in many off-the-shelf home devices (e.g., smart doorbells, speakers, cameras, tablets, laptops, etc.) could be utilized to gather acoustic information to help increase the reliability and capability of smart home security monitoring systems. To verify this idea, we propose an audio-assisted framework IoTAudMon for detecting event-targeted attacks. Considering the heterogeneity and sparsity nature of smart homes IoT devices and events, we employ transfer learning to design a practical pipeline for extracting semantic information from audio, eliminating the requirement of human labeling and mitigating the cold start issue in existing solutions. Experiments on public datasets and real devices demonstrate the effectiveness of IoTAudMon. © 2024 IEEE.

Cities are facing challenges of high rise in population number and con-sequently need to be equipped with latest smart services to provide luxuries of life to its *** integrated solutions are also a need to deal with the social and environmental challenges,caused by increasing ***,the development of smart services’integrated network,within a city,is facing the bar-riers including;less efﬁcient collection and sharing of data,along with inadequate collaboration of software and *** to resolve these issues,this paper recommended a solution for a synchronous functionality in the smart services’integration process through modeling *** this integration modeling solution,atﬁrst,the service participants,processes and tasks of smart services are identiﬁed and then standard illustrations are developed for the better understand-ing of the integrated service group *** process modeling and notation(BPMN)language based models are developed and discussed for a devised case study,to test and experiment i.e.,for remote healthcare from a smart *** research is concluded with the integration process model application for the required data sharing among different service *** outcomes of the modeling are better understanding and attaining maximum automation that can be referenced and replicated.

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into educational technologies marks a significant shift in learning methodologies and operational dynamics within educational institutions. At the forefront is an AI-driven virtual mock interview platform designed to address the high Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC) in the edtech sector, especially for interview preparation services. This initiative harnesses a blend of AI technologies, including ADA 2 for creating context-aware embeddings and Machine Learning (ML), to transform the traditional mock interview process into a dynamic, cost-effective system. Central to the platform is its use of advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and GPT-4 Large Language Model (LLM), automating the process of mock interviews and providing personalized feedback, ensuring a preparation journey that meets specific candidate needs and mirrors real interview scenarios. A key evaluation among 100 students from a cohort of 1800 demonstrated a 90% cost reduction for three mock interviews, reducing expenses from 3000 to just 300 per candidate. This cost efficiency significantly enhances access to quality interview preparation, improving student satisfaction and accessibility. Moreover, the platform provides valuable insights into student performance, setting a new standard in educational technology by offering an effective, personalized interview preparation experience. This project reflects a holistic approach to student development and the critical role of technology in addressing the evolving needs of learners. © 2024 IEEE.

The rapid growth of machine learning(ML)across fields has intensified the challenge of selecting the right algorithm for specific tasks,known as the Algorithm Selection Problem(ASP).Traditional trial-and-error methods have become impractical due to their resource *** Machine Learning(AutoML)systems automate this process,but often neglect the group structures and sparsity in meta-features,leading to inefficiencies in algorithm recommendations for classification *** paper proposes a meta-learning approach using Multivariate Sparse Group Lasso(MSGL)to address these *** method models both within-group and across-group sparsity among meta-features to manage high-dimensional data and reduce multicollinearity across eight meta-feature *** Fast Iterative Shrinkage-Thresholding Algorithm(FISTA)with adaptive restart efficiently solves the non-smooth optimization *** validation on 145 classification datasets with 17 classification algorithms shows that our meta-learning method outperforms four state-of-the-art approaches,achieving 77.18%classification accuracy,86.07%recommendation accuracy and 88.83%normalized discounted cumulative gain.

Today's marketing strategies place a high priority on comprehending customer sentiments. It will not only give businesses a better understanding of how their clients view their goods and/or services, but it will also give them suggestions on how to enhance their offerings. We make an effort to comprehend the relationship between various factors in customer reviews on an online store for women's clothing. The proposed system also classifies each review, according to, whether it recommends the product in question or not, and whether it has a positive, negative, or neutral sentiment. With the exception of review titles and review texts, we used univariate and multivariate analyses on datasets features to accomplish these goals. Additionally, we have implemented a bidirectional recurrent neural network (RNN) with a long-short term memory unit (LSTM) for sentiment and recommendation. © 2023 IEEE.

A pneumothorax is the accumulation of air in the pleural space between the chest and lungs. Air that is in the lungs during breathing can leak out of the lungs and become trapped between the chest and lungs in the thoracic cavity, causing chest pain, difficulty breathing, and ultimately the complete collapse of the taut lungs. pneumothorax. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment should be started. Neural networks have proven effective in image classification tasks, and many researchers believe that training neural network models can detect radiologist-diagnosed chest abnormalities such as pneumonia and pneumothorax. is proving. Moreover, we utilize various techniques, including Stochastic Weight Averaging (SWA), aggressive data augmentation, and learning rate schedule. We use the chest x-ray dataset provided by the 2019 SIIM-ACR In this study, a ResNet-34 neural network is trained on a data set of chest x-rays containing over 10,675 images to create a model that predicts the presence of pneumothorax from chest *** suggested system receives a Dice Similarity Coefficient (DSC) of 0.8410 © 2023 IEEE.

Cybersecurity challenges are inherently complex, characterized by both advanced technical elements and complex aspects of human cognition. Although extensive research has explored how victims’ human factors affect their susceptibility to cyberattacks, the influence of cybercriminals’ personalities on the pattern of cyberattack campaigns and the resulting damage to organizations has not received equivalent attention. To bridge this research gap through computer simulation, we introduce a cyberattack campaign designer that enables modelers to construct cyberattack campaigns. This tool allows modelers to define how the process or pattern of the cyberattack campaign can change based on the cybercriminal’s personality and simulates how these personality differences influence the magnitude of cyberattack damage on the target organization. In this paper, through computer simulation, we demonstrate how cautious and reckless personalities result in variations in the cyberattack pattern and, consequently, affect the magnitude of cyberattack damage, despite identical cyberattack objectives and techniques used at each step. © 2024 IEEE.
