The landscape of cybersecurity in manufacturing exhibits a dynamic interplay between evolving threats and vulnerabilities against innovative defense mechanisms. With the increasing adoption of smart and cloud-controlled technologies, there is a growing emphasis on securing manufacturing systems from cyberattacks. Future trends indicate a shift toward implementing more advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning for threat identification, attack detection, and response. In addition, the adoption of secure-by-design principles in product development and the integration of blockchain technology for ensuring the integrity of supply chain data are expected to become more prevalent. As manufacturers continue to digitize and connect their operations, collaboration between industry stakeholders, government agencies, and cybersecurity experts will be crucial in developing robust defense strategies against evolving security threats. This Special Issue provided a platform for the research advancing understanding of and addressing these threats. The article by Rahman et al., “Taxonomy-Driven Graph-Theoretic Framework for Manufacturing Cybersecurity Risk Modeling and Assessment,” presents a taxonomy-driven graph-theoretic model and framework to represent the threat landscape of cybersecurity and identify vulnerable manufacturing assets. The model and framework contain three techniques to address identified research challenges. First, the proposed framework characterizes threat actors' techniques, tactics, and procedures using taxonomical classifications of manufacturing-specific threat attributes and integrates these attributes into cybersecurity risk modeling. Second, using the attack graph formalism, the proposed framework enables concurrent modeling and analysis of a wide variety of cybersecurity threats comprising varying attack vectors, locations, vulnerabilities, and consequences. Students' stress levels have a significant impact on their academic performance in higher education, thus it's important to identify signs of stress early on and intervene to improve academic performance. Machine learning has evolved into a powerful tool for stress prediction, allowing for proactive support of at-risk youngsters. In order to better anticipate college students' stress levels, this study presents an enhanced TriBranch CNN framework. In order to provide the best possible performance, the technique includes data preparation, feature extraction, and model training. The dimensionality and redundancy are reduced using Principal Component Analysis (PCA). After being trained and tested against other models, the Fully Conditional Temporal Bayesian Network (Fully CTBN) outperformed them all with an accuracy of 93.29%, beating both traditional CNN and FCN approaches. These findings demonstrate that the Fully CTBN approach is useful for identifying students who may be struggling academically and providing schools with the information they need to implement data-driven interventions that boost student well-being and performance. © 2025 IEEE.

Optimization in ad hoc networks is a highly specialized task because the structure of the network is loosely formed, and each node is independently responsible for its operation. In order to obtain a better result from this solely formed networks this report offer extensive Dynamic Topology Management (DTM) method. Dynamic routing protocols lager lines, dividend balancing, Life-saving administration, guarantee of reliability, cross-layer design, security aspects and the on-time monitoring and discovery of topology changes are the main objectives and steps to be accomplished. Real-time Location monitoring and forest structure discovery are made possible by employing adaptive routing protocols, namely Dynamic Source Routing(DSR) and Ad-Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector(AODV). Also, the algorithms are capable of making advance adjustments to routing routes and resource allocations drawn from the mobility patterns forecasting which is vital. Load balancing methods, which distribute traffic in a network evenly, enable the system to run efficiently and avoid problems caused by overloading. Algorithms that are energy-efficient and make the best use of energy resources having their topology's optimized are introduced to the streamlined energy distribution systems. These algorithms are focused on the node's energy level. Through fault tolerance techniques which recognize and handle failures in nodes and partitioned networks, connectedness activity is a continuous one. Through QoS perception, the network topology might automatically be tailored to conform to the given quality criteria, thus not restricting the choice for differing applications. The proposed could have defenses against adversary nodes and their potential DDoS attacks which will enhance network protection. Yet another advantage of an architectural style that promotes cross-layer collaboration is enhanced topology management which is the goal around which the functions of various levels of the protocol stack revolve

Given the abundance of cyber-attacks in wireless communications, machine learning can be essential in identifying intrusions. Ensemble learning has been proven to be a well-known technique for boosting performance and reducing variance. In this paper, we propose a simple ensemble supervised machine learning system, which consists of three classifiers: one-dimensional Convolutional Neural Network, FT-Transformer, and XGBoost, to categorize network traffic as benign or malicious. To find a suitable ensemble method for these classifiers, we implemented three ensemble strategies to integrate these classifiers and assessed their performance. The experimental results demonstrate that our proposed ensemble model achieves strong performance in intrusion detection, as measured by various classification metrics. When evaluated on four benchmark datasets, the model consistently delivers high Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1-score. The research showcases the viability of various algorithms, the power of the self-attention model, and the significance of ensemble approaches in strengthening cyber-defense strategies and understanding modern cyber threats.

AI's revolutionary potential in higher education is examined in this proposal, including how it could revolutionize teaching, learning, administration, and research. Adaptive learning platforms, intelligent tutoring systems, and virtual learning assistants may change how students learn by improving engagement, providing quick feedback, and enabling tailored learning. The suggested process includes preprocessing, feature extraction, and model training. Preprocessing involves de-anonymizing, tokenizing, and removing punctuation, spaces, and numbers before analysis. The linear transformation method PCA extracts features. Training the systems uses the RF -SVM approach, which combines the advantages of RF and SVM. The suggested RF -SVM model beats two RF and SVM models with an average accuracy of 90.39 *** improves resource use, strategic decision-making, and research capacity in university management. The RF-SVM model's success in academia highlights the practicality of AI-driven solutions. © 2025 IEEE.

Crime forecasting is a critical endeavor aimed at preventing future criminal actions, specifically the rising rate of violence against women in India. This study proposes the model to predict crimes committed against women using data from the National Crime Records Bureau's (NCRB) monthly crime report. The dataset encompasses district and state-wise crime activities from 2001 to 2014. The proposed work objectives are identifying factors influencing these crimes and developing predictive models using machine learning (ML). The study employs Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), to enhance the predictive power of the models. The suggested study uses XGBoost, Random Forest (RF), and Neural Network (NN). The neural network algorithm outperforms the Random Forest and XGBoost techniques among these three. The Random Forest algorithm has the worst performance. After comparing the accuracies of various methods, such as XGBoost (92%), and Random Forest (89.84%) classifiers using imbalanced datasets (without employing Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE) technique), it was found that the neural network algorithm (95.81%) delivers the highest accuracy. This study looks at model accuracies and finds that, after applying the SMOTE algorithm, neural network algorithms performed best, with an accuracy of 96.76%, outperforming the accuracies of the remaining models, which included the Random Forest (93.08%) and XG-Boost (95%). © 2025 IEEE.

computer-aided detection of plasmodium malaria on cell images from digital microscopy provides an invaluable second opinion to medical experts. Traditionally, well-established deep learning algorithms are widely used to detect plasmodium, but these techniques have not been deployed due to the uninterpretable nature of the decisions made by the network. To address this, we present an ensemble method that fuses the predictions based on the class activation mapping (CAM) results from multiple networks via a novel selector network. We study the performance on a publicly available dataset of cell images by using three convolutional neural network architectures, Xception, ResNet50, and InceptionV3,to produce CAM results for the selector network and performance comparison. Our proposed approach helps enhance doctors' trust and outperforms the traditional methods by 1%. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents a processed phytoplankton dataset from Lake Zerendi and other Kokshetau Upland lakes, Kazakhstan. The study aimed to develop an automated method for controlling the distribution of phytoplankton in fresh open water using a gradient descent approach with the search for a starting point for research. The paper also presents the reconstructed biomass indicators for changes in water temperature, with model calibration based on results from 5 years of surface sampling. A special feature of the proposed computer data processing is the cubic spline interpolation, which allows a higher calculation accuracy. This method reduces the sample size required, providing a comprehensive picture of the condition of the infrastructure and allowing for a more efficient response to emerging ecosystem issues. © 2023 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

Background Facial features and measurements are utilized to analyze patients’ faces for various reasons, including surgical planning, scientific communications, patient-surgeon communications, and post-surgery evaluations. Objectives There are numerous descriptions regarding these features and measurements scattered throughout the literature, and the authors did not encounter a current compilation of these parameters in the medical literature. Methods A narrative literature review of the published medical literature for facial measurements used for facial analysis in rhinoplasty was conducted through the electronic databases MEDLINE/PubMed and Google Scholar, along with a citation search. Results A total of 61 facial features were identified: 45 points (25 bilateral, 20 unilateral), 5 lines (3 bilateral, 2 unilateral), 8 planes, and 3 areas. A total of 122 measurements were identified: 48 distances (6 bilateral, 42 unilateral), 57 angles (13 bilateral, 44 unilateral), and 17 ratios. Supplemental figures were created to depict all features and measurements utilizing a frontal, lateral, or basal view of the face. Conclusions This paper provides the most comprehensive and current compilation of facial measurements to date. The authors believe this compilation will guide further developments (methodologies and software tools) for analyzing nasal structures and assessing the objective outcomes of facial surgeries, in particular rhinoplasty. Moreover, it will improve communication as a reference for facial measurements of facial surface anthropometry, in particular rhinoplasty.
