As a cutting-edge technology of low-altitude Artificial Intelligence of Thing (AIoT), UAV object detection significantly enhances the surveillance services capabilities of low-altitude AIoT. However, the difficulty of object detection is exacerbated by the high proportion of small and obscure objects in the captured images. To address the mentioned challenges, we present an efficient multi-band infrared small object detection approach for low-altitude intelligent surveillance services. Firstly, we propose the Multi-band infrared Image Fusion algorithm based on Cascade-GAN (MIF-CGAN), which produces fused images with high information entropy and high contrast. Then, the Transformer-based Multi-scale Dense Small Object Detection (MsDSOD) algorithm is proposed. The algorithm consists of the Global-Local Object Detection (G-LOD) network, the Object Dense Area Extraction (O-DAE) module, and the Weighted Boxes Fusion (WBF) module. It extracts small objects features at different scales from infrared images and fuses the global and local detection results to accurately identify small objects in dense scenes. Furthermore, compared to the traditional algorithms, the mean Average Precision (mAP) of MsDSOD is improved by 0.80% and the Average Precision in small object detection (APs) is improved by 0.72%. The proposed algorithm is optimally suited to deal with complex scenes with dense small objects and background occlusion. © 2014 IEEE.

In recent years the study of social media communities has come into the focus of research. One open but central question is which properties stimulate user interaction within communities and thus contribute to community building. In this paper, we provide a first step towards answering this question by identifying features in the Jodel microblogging app that trigger user responses as one form of attention. Jodel is a geographically restricted app that allows users to post threads and comments anonymously. The absence of displayed user information on Jodel makes the posted content the only trigger for user interaction, making the language the one and only means for users to gather contextual implications about their discourse partners. This enhanced function of language promises a revealing baseline investigation into linguistic behavior on social media. To approach this issue, we conducted a sequence of lexico-grammatical analyses and subjected the quantitative results to various statistical tests. While a Principal Component Analysis did not show a significant difference between the grammatical structure of original posts with and without answers, a negative binomial regression model focusing on the interpersonal meta-function yielded significant results. A further analysis of these features correlated to shorter or longer response times showed significant results for the interrogative mood. Additionally, keyword analyses revealed significant differences between posts with answers and without answers. Our study provides a promising first step towards understanding textual features triggering user interaction and thereby community building – an unresolved problem of practical relevance to social network operation. © 2020 German Society for Computational Linguistics & Language Technology. COVID-19 is spreading within the sort of an enormous epidemic for the *** epidemic infects a lot of individuals in *** World Health Organization states that COVID-19 could be spread from one person to another at a very fast speed through contact and respiratory *** these days,Egypt and all countries worldwide should rise to an effective step to investigate this disease and eliminate the effects of this *** this paper displayed,the real database of COVID-19 for Egypt has been analysed from February 15,2020,to June 15,2020,and predicted with the number of patients that will be infected with COVID-19,and estimated the epidemic final *** regression analysis models have been applied for data analysis of COVID-19 of *** this study,we’ve been applied seven regression analysis-based models that are exponential polynomial,quadratic,thirddegree,fourth-degree,fifth-degree,sixth-degree,and logit growth respectively for the COVID-19 ***,the exponential,fourth-degree,fifth-degree,and sixth-degree polynomial regression models are excellent models specially fourth-degree model that will help the government preparing their procedures for one *** addition,we have applied the well-known logit growth regression model and we obtained the following epidemiological insights:Firstly,the epidemic peak could possibly reach at 22-June 2020 and final time of epidemic at 8-September ***,the final total size for cases 1.6676Et05 *** action from government of interevent over a relatively long interval is necessary to minimize the final epidemic size.

Data mining tools are widely used in computer networks. The well-known and mostly used tools to secure computers and network systems are WEKA and TANAGRA. The purpose of this study is to compare these two tools in terms of detection accuracy and computation time. This comparison was conducted using a well-known NSL-KDD dataset. Experiments show that TANAGRA achieves better results than WEKA in detection accuracy. But, TANAGRA is competitive with WEKA in terms of computation time. © 2021 IEEE.

Autonomous systems are able to make decisions and potentially take actions without direct human intervention, which requires some knowledge about the system and its environment as well as goal-oriented reasoning. In computer systems, one can derive such behavior from the concept of a rational agent with autonomy (“control over its own actions”), reactivity (“react to events from the environment”), proactivity (“act on its own initiative”), and sociality (“interact with other agents”) as fundamental properties \n[1]\n. Autonomous systems will undoubtedly pervade into our everyday lives, and we will find them in a variety of domains and applications including robotics, transportation, health care, communications, and entertainment to name a few. \nThe articles in this month’s special issue cover concepts and fundamentals, architectures and techniques, and applications and case studies in the exciting area of self-awareness in autonomous systems.

Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a type of wireless network consisting of a set of self-configured mobile hosts that can communicate with each other using wireless links without the assistance of any fixed infrastructure. This has made it possible for us to create distributed mobile computing applications and has also brought several new challenges in the field of distributed algorithm design. Checkpointing is a well explored fault tolerance technique for the wired and cellular mobile networks. However, it is not directly applicable to MANET owing to its dynamic topology, limited availability of stable storage, partitioning and the absence of fixed infrastructure. In this paper, we propose an adaptive, coordinated and non-blocking checkpointing algorithm to provide fault tolerance in cluster-based MANET, where only a minimum number of mobile hosts in the cluster should take checkpoints. The performance analysis and simulation results show that the proposed scheme requires less coordinating-message cost and performs well compared to the related previous works. PROFIBUS is a standard for fieldbus communication, used in industrial networks to support real-time command and control. Similar to network protocols developed then, availability is the security objective prioritized in the PROFIBUS design. Confidentiality and integrity were of lesser importance, as industrial protocols were not intended for public access. However, the publicized weaknesses in industrial technologies, including the inclusion of publicly available technology and protocols in industrial networks, presents major risks to industrial networks. This paper investigates the security risks of and provides suggested security solutions for PROFIBUS. The objective is to review the PROFIBUS protocol, to establish the purposefulness of the design and its suitability for the applications where it forms a core part of the infrastructure. The security risks of this protocol are then assessed from successful and possible attacks, based on the vulnerabilities. Proposed security solutions are reviewed and additional recommendations made concerning the use of OPC UA, accompanied by an analysis of the cost of these solutions to the efficiency and safety of the PROFIBUS. The findings of this paper indicate that a defense-in-depth approach is more feasible security solution, with strong security controls being implemented at networks interconnecting with the PROFIBUS networks. Industrie 4.0 (I4.0) is the fourth industrial revolution, which will see the digital transformation of manufacturing, through the integration on Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Data and Services, and the convergence of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT). With any such transformation, there exists challenges that must first be addressed for a successful outcome. For I4.0, these are interoperability and security, which respectively arise from the interconnection of devices from different manufacturers and/or with different communication protocols;and the interconnection of networks with competing critical and non-critical traffic, and the increased access to initially isolated networks. In disaster situations communication and power infrastructure could be damaged, disrupting their associated services. This could delay relief efforts and cost more lives. In situations where connections are damaged and unreliable, peer-to-peer (P2P) and delay-tolerant networking (DTN) technologies can help provide alternative communication modes particularly in support of rescue and relief operations. Combining the benefits of the store-and-forward capability of DTN and the data propagation techniques of Wi-Fi Direct, we have created a flexible framework called ARC which allows users to create applications that could meet their specific requirements, particularly those in support of emergency communications. To demonstrate our framework, we created a simple application using ARC, and used this application to evaluate its DTN and Wi-Fi Direct group recovery capabilities. © 2016 IEEE.
