DC traction motors are widely used in all branches of urban economy. They began to be used in industry about a hundred years ago with the advent of the first calculation methods. When designing a DC motor, it is important to consider it comprehensively, together with the electric drive system. The article discusses the application of a more correct approach to modeling a series-excited DC motor using the ANSYS software package, in particular, the ANSYS RMxprt / Maxwell/ Simplorer bundle. The main stages of initial data input are considered and the main calculation results are shown. Using ANSYS Maxwell allows you to quickly and automatically build a typical machine geometry using RMxprt. When solving non-standard structures, it is possible to use 3D design with step-by-step elements. The analysis of the obtained graphic dependences of electric power parameters makes it possible to judge the efficiency of the electric motor and its operational properties in idling and under load. The simulation results show excellent agreement with the data obtained experimentally.

The methods of digital and pulse signal modulation in modern computer systems of data transmission are analysed. Process of forming non-redundant coding that use the errors detection and correction in the Galois basis are offered. Structures of special processors for forming signal correcting codes are built. Working algorithms for proposed coding methods are developed and their software implementation are offered. Circuit design of Galois code sequence generator is implemented. Work simulation and synthesis on FPGA of Xilinx are performed.

Robot applications, represented as plans, are used to outline a viewpoint that robustness needs to be emphasized in two areas: in the plan representation and in the underlying system software. Robot applications are inherently distributed, since the hardware usually comprises a set of independent actuators and sensors, with the robot programs acting as links between them. A special model of distributed computation, the RS (Robot Schemas) model, has been designed to handle the issues of robot plan representation, and an overview of the model is presented. An initial implementation of the model with minimal execution support demonstrated that the domain-dependent aspect of robustness on its own was not sufficient for robust behavior. Consequently, the OS has been augmented with real-time scheduling, and monitoring facilities.< >

OPC is a matured and accepted standard in industries, but hardly used in industrial applications developed at universities, especially in Europe. Publications in this area, either using OPC-communication or developing applications have been hardly increased over the past several years. This paper reports the current state of the standard, but also describes current problems and how they can be managed and overcome. The authors also give an overview of the recently published new standard, which is called: OPC unified approach. After the fundamentals are described in this paper, the authors present their experiences with OPC to combine it with methods and procedures to develop a modern maintenance system. It also reports current developments at the department of computer Architecture and System programming at the University of Kassel.

The paper focuses on the problem of technical social engineering attacks that encompass the manipulation of individuals to reveal sensitive information, execute actions, or breach security systems. These exploits frequently capitalize on human psychology, trust, and a lack of vigilance to attain unauthorized entry to networks, systems, or data. In contrast to traditional social engineering tactics that center on psychological manipulation, technical social engineering attacks employ technological means and strategies to manipulate and beguile individuals. The paper presents an attempt to detect social engineering attacks. The approach utilized four machine learning algorithms (decision tree, random forest, K-nearest neighbor, and extreme gradient boosting). The analysis is centered on data collected from network hosts, which may serve as indicators of a potential social engineering attack. The empirical results demonstrated high detection accuracy.

This paper presents a study on a class of algorithms based on Uniform Theory of Diffraction (UTD) for multiple diffractions. S-UTD-CH model can be used for fast and more accurate field prediction for multiple diffractions in transition zone. An extensive simulation results for comparison of UTD based algorithms with respect to the computation time and accuracy was provided.

This work is devoted to the determination of influence of the internal forces on the propagation of the waves in electromechanical systems. The task is simplified to an inverse problem for the third order hyperbolic equation with the integral overdetermination condition and with the unknown function in the right-hand side of the equation. Some numerical results are presented for viscoelastic medium and for liquid like water with solid parameters. The presented method gives us opportunity to find the precise analytical solutions to the mathematical problems that simulate the wave propagation.

The fourth industrial revolution has seen the evolution and wide adoption of game-changing and disruptive innovation "financial technologies (FinTech)" around the globe. However, the security of FinTech systems and networks remains critical. This paper comprehensively reviews the evolving landscape of cybersecurity issues within the FinTech sector and explores effective mitigation measures. Four independent researchers reviewed relevant literature from IEEE Xplore Digital Library, ScienceDirect, Taylor & Francis, Emerald Insight, Springer, SAGE, Wiley Online Library, Hindawi, MDPI, ACM Digital Library, IGI Global, and Google Scholar. The research paper begins by examining the history and evolution of FinTech, drivers for the growth of FinTech, segments of the FinTech industry, FinTech ecosystem, FinTech business model, and FinTech application. Subsequently, it then delves into an analysis of the most pressing cybersecurity issues confronting FinTech firms, such as privacy concerns, data breaches, malware attacks, hacking, insider threats, identity theft, social engineering attacks, distributed denial-of-service attacks, and others. In response to these cybersecurity issues, the paper evaluates various mitigation strategies and best practices adopted by FinTech firms and regulatory bodies globally. These measures include technological solutions such as authentication and access control mechanisms, cryptography, big data analytics, intrusion detection/prevention systems, regular data backup, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud computing technologies, blockchain technologies, and fraud detection and prevention systems. The paper also emphasizes the importance of FinTech regulatory sandboxes, regulatory compliance, basic security training, continuous monitoring of threats, zero-trust policy, robust cybersecurity culture, regular testing, and stringent security policies to strengthen the FinTech ecosystem's cyber resilience. Easy access to time series forecasting provides a strong competitive advantage for any company or organization. As automated forecasting environments become more prevalent in the market, it is crucial to explore their capabilities and features to utilize them competently. This study demonstrates the influence of data coverage on prediction accuracy and validates the initial assumption. Based on the findings, recommendations have been presented to enhance the quality of predictive processes.

The number of annual scientific publications is growing year by year, which has led to the accumulation and formation of large databases. This increases the complexity of the search for relevant articles. Modern search engines leverage keyphrases to improve the performance of search results. Keyphrases (or keywords) are a set of single or multi-word expressions which provide a very compact summary of contents and describe the overall topic of a document. Implementation of keyphrase extraction can be varied for specific-domain databases. This motivated us to evaluate these methods on a database of influenza scientific literature. In this work, we considered 9 well known methods for extracting keyphrases. Our preliminary results show txhat graph-based methods which employ topics outperform others using our database. We also determined that influenza-related papers can be grouped into three general topics: public health & medical care; molecular biology & immunology; and phylogenetic & epidemiological studies.
