Elliptic curve cryptography is a widely recognized method of using a public key cryptosystem for encrypting and decrypting data. The message must be transformed to points on an Elliptic Curve using a mapping algorithm in order to send the message. This process of mapping the message to the point on the elliptic curve is done by applying a well-known mapping algorithm. Elliptic curve cryptography is widely acknowledged to have simpler mathematical operations compared to other cryptographic methods. However, researchers in the field of cryptography have faced challenges in mapping plain messages onto points on an elliptic curve and reversing the process at the receiver's end for decryption. Recent advancements have led to the development of mapping techniques that are resistant to frequency analysis. In this paper, we have disc.ssed a well-known mapping sc.eme that has been used to map plain text messages to points on elliptic curves. However, the time taken to map a message and encrypt the points takes a substantial amount of time. This latency can be reduced if we parallelize the mapping process. In this paper, we have parallelized the reverse mapping phase of the sc.eme at the receiver's end to reduce the total communication time. Performance results after parallelization have been recorded and provided in the later section of the paper in tabular and graphical form. © 2024 IEEE.

The pay-per-use model of cloud computing is booming in every industry. Power-hungry large heterogeneous data centers are providing these cloud services for 24× 7. Green cloud computing offers an energy-efficient and environment-friendly mechanism to offer cloud services while maintaining the quality of service (QoS). QoS is defined in terms of service-level agreement (SLA). VM Consolidation is one of the widely used frameworks that involve Virtual Machine (VM) migration and VM Placement to reduce energy consumption and maintain better QoS. Using the VM Placement policy VMs are allocated to suitable physical machines (PM). Efficient VM placement with better resource management can conserve electricity and provide better QoS. A new SLA and energy-aware VM placement policy have been developed in this research. The VMs are placed in a PM having the least energy consumption and SLA violation (SLAV). Further, the proposed VM placement policy has been implemented using CloudSim and it has been shown that the proposed VM placement policy outperforms state-of-art VM placement policies like PEBFD, MBFD, MFPED, and PEFED. © 2022 IEEE.

Cloud computing forms the backbone of the era of automation and the Internet of Things (IoT). It offers computing and storage-based services on consumption-based pricing. Large-sc.le datacenters are used to provide these service and consumes enormous electricity. Datacenters contribute a large portion of the carbon footprint in the environment. Through virtual machine (VM) consolidation, datacenter energy consumption can be reduced via efficient resource management. VM selection policy is used to choose the VM that needs migration. In this research, we have proposed PbV mSp: A priority-based VM selection policy for VM consolidation. The PbV mSp is implemented in cloudsim and evaluated compared with well-known VM selection policies like gpa, gpammt, mimt, mums, and mxu. The results show that the proposed PbV mSp selection policy has outperformed the exisitng policies in terms of energy consumption and other metrics. © 2022 IEEE.

Superpixel segmentation methods are generally used as a pre-processing step to speed up image processing tasks. They group the pixels of an image into homogeneous regions while trying to respect existing contours. In this paper, we propose a fast Superpixels segmentation algorithm with Contour Adherence using spectral clustering, combined with normalized cuts in an iterative k-means clustering framework. It produces compact and uniform superpixels with low computational costs. Normalized cut is adapted to measure the color similarity and space proximity between image pixels. We have used a kernel function to estimate the similarity metric. Kernel function maps the pixel values and coordinates into a high dimensional feature space. The objective functions of weighted K-means and normalized cuts share the same optimum point in this feature space. So it is possible to optimize the cost function of normalized cuts by iteratively applying simple K-means clustering algorithm. The proposed framework produces regular and compact superpixels that adhere to the image contours. On segmentation comparison benchmarks it proves to be equally well or better than the state-of-the-art super pixel segmentation algorithms in terms of several commonly used evaluation metrics in image segmentation. In addition, our method is computationally very efficient and its computational complexity is linear. © 2018, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

The work promotes reliable dynamical validations for transmitted e-documents using session wise randomly hidden secret multi-signatures. Client triggers this protocol by deriving the random circular sequencing of such invisible signatures onto the cover image e-document. Additional security and authenticity criteria met with dynamical orientations of hidden signature bits on concern sub block pixel bytes of the cover image. Vitally both these dynamical fabrications are fully governed by the respective mathematical operations executed on client-server based mutual secret key and session random challenge. Hence, same dynamical authentications for those valid copyright signatures can also be complied at the server end. Apart from that multi-copy signature dispersing with hosting of each individual signature copy on each separate regions of the cover image serves better authenticity and robustness under attacks. Further region wise varied transforms on sub image blocks with variable threshold range driven sign bit encoding on separate transformed pixel bytes of such sub blocks ensures excellent robustness and recovery of signatures. Finally, exhaustive experimental results also confirmed strong superiority of this sc.eme over existing works with significant enhancements on standard evaluation parameters. Overall, this protocol reflects better trusted authentication, confidentiality and non-repudiation for wireless digital transmissions in contrast to the current ideas.

Microstrip patch antenna has extensive applications in areas requiring light weight and low profile antenna sub system. Differential Evolution (DE) algorithm and Cuckoo Search (CS) algorithm are modern optimization algorithms used here for determining the design parameters of microstrip antenna. In literature, there does not exist any direct relation between the bandwidth of a microstrip patch antenna with its design parameters. In this paper, a relationship between bandwidth and geometrical parameters of co-ax fed microstrip patch antenna has been established using Curve fitting model. The investigation is performed for microwave frequencies over a certain range. A comparative study is performed between the results obtained for bandwidth enhancement by optimizing the patch length, patch width and the position of feed using DE and CS algorithms.
