With the continuous expansion of the data center, its energy consumption is also increasing. Aiming at the problem that the high redundancy of modern data center network causes low energy-consumption utilization, this paper proposes an energy-saving traffic scheduling algorithm (IMV-MLF) based on improved multi-layer-virtual-topology combined with maximum link-utilization path priority, which realizes more fine-grained control of each layer of virtual topology in data center network. Firstly, the relevant shap-ing linear programming mathematical model is established according to the optimization goal of energy conservation, which can minimize the energy consumption of the whole network as far as possible under the premise of meeting all network-flow requirements;Then, according to the optimization goal, the existing SDN based energy saving multi-layer-virtual-topology (EMV-SDN) method is improved. Whether the network devices in other layers are enabled is determined by the overall traffic level rather than the traffic level of a single link. On the basis of the opened level, the newly arrived network flows are preferentially allocated to the path with the highest link utilization, and overload link set is introduced, we can effectively use the available link routes with sufficient residual bandwidth to reduce congestion when the topology changes by marking the links whose link utilization reaches the critical value, and further count and close the links and switches which no network flows pass through. The experimental results show that the performance of IMV-MLF algorithm is better than multi-layer virtual topology energy saving (EMV-SDN) algorithm and the equivalent multipath (ECMP) algorithm in saving network energy. This result is helpful to provide another new idea for energy conservation of data center. © 2023, Journal of Network Intelligence.

In this ever-evolving healthcare landscape, with the integration of cutting-edge technology, this study has exemplified a medical chatbot by harnessing the advanced Llama2 model. This chatbot places significant emphasis on instance training by changing and adding the meta, which enables it to continuously adapt and stay updated with the latest medical developments. Its adaptability also encompasses capabilities such as question-answering and mining knowledge from an extensive meta dataset. By leveraging its extensive ability to learn medical terminology, the chatbot provides precise and real-time responses to medical inquiries by establishing itself as a reliable information source. Access to a specially collected meta dataset further enhances its ability to deliver comprehensive medical insights while self-supervised learning techniques enhance the model efficacy. Consequently, this chatbot reshapes the way individuals access precise medical information by enabling a new era of advanced digital healthcare assistants in the digital age. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper aims at applying optimal control principles to investigate optimal vaccination strategies in different phases of a pandemic. Background of the study is that many countries have started their vaccination procedures against the COVID-19 disease in the beginning of 2021, but supply shortages for the vaccines prevented that everyone could be vaccinated immediately. At the beginning of 2022, in contrast, the vaccine supply was ample, but the effectiveness of different existing vaccines to avoid infection by new virus variants was in doubt, as well as the acceptance of booster doses decreased over time. To account for these effects, two formulations of optimization tasks based on different epidemic models are proposed in this paper. The solution of these tasks determines optimal distribution strategies for available vaccines, and optimized vaccination schemes to reduce the need of booster doses for later phase. IT/OT convergence in the form of a Cyber-Physical system (CPS) presents an opportunity to apply recent Information Technology (IT) advancements to Operational Technology (OT). The IT/OT convergence introduces cyber security threats for OT. The OT communication protocols, for example, have limited or no security capabilities for securing data exchange beyond basic authentication. The RNG (Random Number Generator) function is crucial in PLC for producing the encryption keys or the initial seed for security algorithms. The software-based PRNG (Pseudo RNG) is the most common approach for RNG in OT, instead of hardware-based RNG. This study provides a systematic literature review of the most recent evidence in digital transformation to secure data exchange in smart factories, within OT, or across OT and IT settings. It does this by looking at the PRNG on PLC and identifying the most recent trends and best practices. The findings include up-to-date data on author countries' distribution, published journals, research trends, industries, and industry types. The findings also address whether data flow is encrypted or shared in plaintext to ensure secure data transfer between IT and legacy OT environments. This paper concludes that while there is known RNG implementation in the actual embedded system in ICS, there is no evidence in the literature for using RNG in ICS networks for PLC implementation to secure data transfer with encryption. © 2024 IEEE.

The heterogeneous fleet vehicle routing problem (HFVRP) is of great significance in logistics and transportation. This paper considers a crucial and challenging HFVRP variant, namely multi-objective fleet size and mix vehicle routing problem with unlimited fleet, fixed cost, and dependent cost (MO-FSMVRPFD). A decomposition-based memetic algorithm called MOEA/D-ALS is proposed to cope with MO-FSMVRPFD. MOEA/D-ALS uses the multi-objective evolutionary algorithm based on decomposition (MOEA/D) as the backbone. Beyond that, it adopts a replacement strategy based on maximal fitness improvement (MFI). In addition, the local search is conducted on difficult subproblems for further refinement. The experimental studies on 18 instances show that MOEA/D-ALS exhibits a significant performance superiority over two other representative algorithms. The effectiveness of both the MFI strategy and the adaptive local search procedure is also validated. © 2024 IEEE.

Pneumothorax is a life-threatening and urgent chest disease than can be detected using Chest X-Ray (CXR) image. CXR images are low resolution and diagnosis of pneumothorax based on them is error prone. Deep learning-based computer aided diagnosis systems can improve diagnosis performance of pneumothorax. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) are default networks in deep learning-based medical image process. However, CNNs fail to capture long range features. On the other side, Transformer are proposed to exploit long range feature, but they cannot capture local features. In this paper, we propose a general method with a convolution and a transformer module which can classify CXR images to diagnose pneumothorax by extracting local features, global features and global features attended by local ones using a novel architecture. Results show that the proposed method outperforms base architectures and the other previous works. © 2023 IEEE.

With the rapidly increasing technology and globalization, the internet has become an inevitable part of one's day-to-day life. The use of a sophisticated recommendation system has revolutionized the way consumers interact with online shopping platforms. To keep in pace with the emerging technology, every field needs to be digitalized and made up to date. In this context, the commercial shops and dealers too need to upgrade their traditional shopping methods. The old conventional methods don't always serve the new generation. The transition to online mode of shopping has made it mandatory for retailers and producers to customize according to the customer's requirement and providing various options than what was possible before. The focus in this system is to increase customer engagement, enhance the customer shopping experience, and boost sales by suggesting relevant products based on a user's browsing and purchase history, these products that are most likely to interest and satisfy individual customers. This paper reviews recent developments in recommendation systems in the domain of ecommerce. © 2023 IEEE.

This research focuses on the review of Fintech and its development on the IoT Platform and also the risks that can be posed to the IoT network used. In this research, it is comprehensively discussed how methods are carried out in the process of securing data, Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, and Ethereum are comprehensively discussed to get a lot of data and comparisons and the right steps to deal with crime via the internet. The gait, as a kind of soft biometric characteristic, can reflect the distinct walking patterns of individuals at a distance, exhibiting a promising technique for unrestrained human identification. With largely excluding gait-unrelated cues hidden in RGB videos, the silhouette and skeleton, though visually compact, have acted as two of the most prevailing gait modalities for a long time. Recently, several attempts have been made to introduce more informative data forms like human parsing and optical flow images to capture gait characteristics, along with multi-branch architectures. However, due to the inconsistency within model designs and experiment settings, we argue that a comprehensive and fair comparative study among these popular gait modalities, involving the representational capacity and fusion strategy exploration, is still lacking. From the perspectives of fine vs. coarse-grained shape and whole vs. pixel-wise motion modeling, this work presents an in-depth investigation of three popular gait representations, i.e., silhouette, human parsing, and optical flow, with various fusion evaluations, and experimentally exposes their similarities and differences. Based on the obtained insights, we further develop a C2Fusion strategy, consequently building our new framework MultiGait++. C2Fusion preserves commonalities while highlighting differences to enrich the learning of gait features.
