The most important issues of the test framework are its generality, reusability and scalability in a specific area. Mobile application software that constantly updates and improves makes it especially difficult for these points. This paper first proposes the definition of mobile application software, as well as its classification, and summarizes the mobile application software testing technology. Then we introduce the thought of service-oriented architecture into this area, and adopt COM technique, aims at designing a mobile application software test framework. During the design, we focus on the technical implementation and interface definition. Finally a test platform is built based on the framework and used to test a typical software of mobile phone. The test results show that the test framework greatly improved the testing flexibility and provided a good foundation for implementation and expansion of mobile application test.

During gene expression, transcription factors are unable to bind to a transcription binding site (TFBS) involved in regulation if DNA methylation has occurred at the TFBS. Methyl-CpG-binding proteins may also occupy the TFBS and prevent the functioning of a transcription factor. Thus, the methylation status of CpG sites is an important issue when trying to understand gene regulation and shows strong correlation with the TFBS involved. In addition, CpG islands would seem to undergo cell-specific and tissue-specific methylation. Such differential methylation is presented at numerous genetic loci that are essential for development. Current DNA methylation site prediction tools need to be improved so that they include TFBS features and have greater accuracy in terms of the DNA region that is involved in methylation. We developed models that compare the differences across these regions and tissues. The TFBSs, DNA properties and DNA distribution were used as features for this classification. From the results, we found some TFBSs that were able to discriminate whether a sequence was methylated or not. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy estimated using 10-fold cross validation were 90.8%, 80.54%, and 86.07%, respectively. Thus, for these four regions and twelve tissues, the performance levels (ACC) were all greater than 80%. We propose that the differential features or methylations vary between the different regions because the features common to each DNA region made up only 50% of the top 70 features. This paper focuses on a new proposal system input of impedance control that relates to force reflection (FR) scheme of teleoperation with time varying in communication lines. To improve the tracking performance and transparency, the control algorithm uses one more communication channel to transfer the FR information from the master side to the slave side. Using variable damping values, the contact stability is achieved at the time while the slave robot contacts with the environment. In this work, the input-to-output stability (IOS) small gain approach is used to show the overall force-reflecting teleoperation to be input-to-state stable (ISS). Several experimental results show the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm.

Endoscopic argon plasma coagulation and bipolar electrocautery are currently preferred treatments for chronic radiation proctitis, but ulcerations and strictures frequently occur. Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) has been successful for mucosal ablation in the esophagus. Here we report the efficacy of RFA with the BarRx Halo⁹⁰ system in three patients with bleeding from chronic radiation proctitis. In all cases, the procedure was well tolerated and hemostasis was achieved after 1 or 2 RFA sessions. Re-epithelialization of squamous mucosa was observed over areas of prior hemorrhage. No stricturing or ulceration was seen on follow-up up to 19 months after RFA treatment. Real-time endoscopic optical coherence tomography (EOCT) visualized epithelialization and subsurface tissue microvasculature pre- and post-treatment, demonstrating its potential for follow-up assessment of endoscopic therapies. © 2009, SAGE Publications. Software testing has been used to find software faults in order to improve its quality. To verify the software behavior, testers require test oracle. Test oracle is a reliable source of expected software behavior that provides outputs for any input specified in the software specifications and a comparator to verify actual results. While test automation requires automated oracle support, oracle automation is considered as a challenging task. These challenges are from the automation required in expected output generation and results verification. This paper presents oracle activities and the challenges to prepare automated oracle. Then a comparative study of existing automated oracle and expected output generation methods is provided. Finally, a classification of these methods is suggested based on how these methods provide automated test oracle and the tool they used. The classification explains which oracle activities will be automated by the proposed approaches.

In this paper we study fault diagnosis of systems modeled by untimed continuous Petri nets. In particular, we generalize our previous works in this framework where we solved this problem only for special classes of continuous Petri nets, namely state machines and backward conflict free nets. We show that the price to pay for this generalization is that only three diagnosis states can be defined, rather than four. However, this is not a significant restriction because it is in accordance with all the literature on finite state automata.

The rapidly aging society in Japan has resulted in an increased demand for electric wheelchairs to enhance the mobility of elderly persons. However, the increased use of electric wheelchairs means an increase in the number of accidents related to wheelchair operation errors. The majority of errors involve the joystick interface because its controllability is highly sensitive and not very intuitive compared to the vehicle-type interface. This paper describes a newly developed intuitive electric wheelchair interface that uses a laser pointer. The direction of the laser pointer is automatically detected by camera and analyzed for movement direction. To ensure smooth driving by using the laser pointer, we apply fuzzy logic. To confirm the proposed method, several simulations were conducted and examined.

Normal walking has often been assumed to be symmetric. A few papers have discussed the kinematic symmetry in healthy adults using statistical and mathematic calculations, but no consensus exists on the methodology. In this paper, we try to define what walking symmetry is and determine mathematical symmetry indices. We have investigated walking symmetry among healthy subjects from 20 to 69 years old by using Fourteen-Linkage (FL) model. In the case of bilateral dynamic gait data, we make use of a dynamic time warping algorithm to calculate the similarity between them. The result shows this method has a good application on describing walking symmetry. The paper analyzes three kinds of symmetry, but here mainly mentions dynamic symmetry.

Continuous Petri nets can be viewed as an approximation of the classical discrete models introduced to cope with the state explosion problem typical of discrete event systems. In this paper we consider free-labeled Petri net systems, and assume that certain transitions, including all those modeling faulty behaviors, are unobservable, i.e., they are labeled with the empty word. Based on the notion and characterization of the set of justifications of a given observation (and the corresponding set of j-vectors), we provide a diagnosis approach using the solution of a certain number of linear programming problems.

Walking stability is the main reason for leading to falls for people, especially for elders. But there are much more features related with walking so that we cannot understand which features are more important than others to contribute the walking stability. Almost all of researches focused on some specific features but didn't present any reasons for that. Therefore, the Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) is employed to calculate walking stability, an adaptive Genetic Algorithm (GA) to search the best contributing and representative features, and an improved Support Vector Machine (SVM) to assess the fitness of specific feature combination according to age classification information. After studying walking patterns of 51 healthy male subjects ranging from 21 years old to 66 years old, the 32 most contributing features are acquired. The experiments show that these feature selection methods can improve the discrimination power of walking stability effectively. This research not only supports more convenient data acquisition equipments, but also helps us understand walking stability better.
