One of the primary structural materials in the development business is concrete. Compressive strength is the most frequently utilized metric when assessing the strength and nature of cement. This paper clarifies how to make use of technical regression (RT) methodology to decide the legitimate dose of the concrete mixture. Water, Cement, Fly Ash, Blast Furnace, Superplasticizer, Coarse, and Fine Aggregate, were used as input parameters, on the other hand, compressive strength was used as an output parameter. The produced models were evaluated using statistical parameters: Linear Regression, Decision Tree Regression, and Random Forest Regression. In contrast with other applicable models, it was found that the Gaussian process regression model based on the function of the nucleus of radial bases delivered relatively better results. The recommended models should get a good deal on saving money on materials, labor, and time while also improving accuracy. The proposed concrete should be more durable and accordingly more cost-effective. © 2023 Bharati Vidyapeeth, New Delhi.

Space systems enable essential communications, navigation, imaging and sensing for a variety of domains, including agriculture, commerce, transportation, and emergency operations by first responders. Protecting the cybersecurity of these critical infrastructure systems is essential. While the space environment brings unique constraints to managing cybersecurity risks, lessons learned about risks and effective defenses in other critical infrastructure domains can help us to design effective defenses for space systems. In particular, discoveries regarding cybersecurity for industrial control systems (ICS) for energy, manufacturing, transportation, and the consumer and industrial Internet of Things (IoT) offer insights into cybersecurity for the space domain. This paper provides an overview of ICS and space system commonalities, lessons learned about cybersecurity for ICS that can be applied to space systems, and recommendations for future research and development to secure increasingly critical space systems. © 2023, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Inc, AIAA. Smart Grids (SG) rely on Home Area Networks (HAN) and Neighborhood Area Networks (NAN) to ensure efficient power distribution, real-time monitoring, and seamless communication between smart devices. Despite these advantages, the use of public communication channels in HAN and NAN networks introduces critical challenges, such as vulnerability to impersonation, physical tampering, and scalability issues in resource-constrained environments. These issues compromise the stability, reliability, and security of SG environments. Existing protocols often fail to adequately address these challenges, particularly in ensuring resistance to physical tampering of supply lines and impersonation attacks. Additionally, they struggle to minimize the computation, communication, and energy costs associated with securing a resource-constrained SG environment. Therefore, we propose a robust key exchange and tamper-resistant protocol for HAN and NAN networks to address these limitations. The proposed protocol leverages the Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) mechanism to offer physical tampering resistance to smart meters. We validate our protocol formally using the Random or Real (RoR) model, which confirms its security robustness. Additionally, our informal security analysis highlights the protocol's resilience against impersonation, physical tampering attacks, etc. We analyze and compare the performance of the proposed protocol, which further demonstrates our protocol's effectiveness and security compared to competing protocols. Moreover, the proposed protocol achieves resource efficiency with 45.99% and 58.85% substantial reductions in computation overhead and energy overhead, respectively, compared to competing protocols. These results showcase the protocol's enhanced security and practicality for resource-constrained SG environments. © 2014 IEEE.

The ability to continuously follow a target person in a dynamically changing environment remains a major challenge that indoor companion robots confront. Ongoing human following is complicated by close similarity matching and target occlusions. Person Re-Identification (re-ID) is a computer vision task that can help with the problem of intentional or unintentional occlusion of the subject or person of interest. Numerous research has been conducted on re-ID where the basic assumption is that the gallery set will only have non-occluded person images. This paper examines the problem from a human detection perspective and surveys the state-of-the-art of person re-ID, their achievement and shortcomings. A region-based convolutional neural network (R-CNN) Re-ID is proposed in this research. The findings from the prototyping and evaluation demonstrate that the proposed person Re-ID model is reliable for indoor re-ID situations. Thus, future works in this direction include investigating other factors, such as the number of persons in a scene and varying viewing angles of the probed target person, which can impact the performance of the proposed re-ID model. © 2023 ACM.

Semantic-Aware Pseudo-Labeling for Unsupervised Meta-Learning

In unsupervised meta-learning, the clustering-based pseudo-labeling approach is an attractive framework, since it is model-agnostic, allowing it to synergize with supervised algorithms to learn from unlabeled data. However, the pseudo-labels suffer from clustering noise and semantic chaos problems, further impacting the effectiveness of meta-learning. In this paper, we analyze and optimize the pseudo-labeling process, including encoding and clustering, aiming to generate semantic-like pseudo-labels to narrow the gap between unsupervised and supervised meta-learning. First, during the encoding, we observe that the embedding space of existing methods lacks clustering-friendly properties, which is the primary reason for clustering noise. To address this issue, we minimize the inter-to-intra-class similarity ratio to generate clustering-friendly embedding features and validate our approach through comprehensive experiments. Then, during the clustering, we find that the semantic quality of pseudo-labels is not adequately controlled, resulting in semantic chaos of pseudo-labels. We propose a semantic-stability index to measure the semantic quality of pseudo-labels quantitatively. Based on this index, we propose the Semantic-aware Pseudo-label Reassignment mechanism to generate semantic-like pseudo-labels for all samples. Our approach is model-agnostic and can easily be integrated into existing supervised methods. To demonstrate its generalization ability, we integrate it into two representative algorithms: MAML and EP. The results on three main few-shot benchmarks clearly show that the proposed method achieves significant improvement compared to state-of-the-art models. Notably, our approach also outperforms the corresponding supervised method in three tasks. © 1979-2012 IEEE.

The widespread impact of thyroid disease and its diagnosis is a challenging task for healthcare experts. The conventional technique for predicting such a vital disease is complex and time-consuming. A data-driven approach may offer predictive solutions, but it relies on all relevant attributes, which are computationally expensive. Hence, we propose a novel machine learning (ML) based disease prediction system that could potentially predict it by considering three crucial steps. First, to reduce the dimension of the dataset, three feature selection techniques were employed, including feature importance (FIS), information gain selections (IGS), and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LAS). Moreover, recommended medical references were considered while developing a feature set having the identical attributes as high-risk factors (HRF). Second, the models, including the three stage hybrid classifier (3SHC) and the three stage hybrid artificial neural network (3SHANN), are used as classifiers on the training data set. Third, a local interpretable model-agnostic explanations (LIME) to the 3SHC with the HRF samples was applied to individually explain the predictions. Then, the overall behaviors of both gender and age categories were explored with the help of a partial dependence plot (PDP). Finally, the proposed system is validated with extensive experiments, where the 3SHC achieves an accuracy (ACC) of 99.29%, which can play a crucial role in preventing thyroid disease and alleviating stress in the healthcare sector. © 2020 IEEE.

In line with the human capacity to perceive the world by simultaneously processing and integrating high-dimensional inputs from multiple modalities like vision and audio, we propose a novel model, MAiVAR-T (Multimodal Audio-Image to Video Action Recognition Transformer). This model employs an intuitive approach for the combination of audio-image and video modalities, with a primary aim to escalate the effectiveness of multimodal human action recognition (MHAR). At the core of MAiVAR-T lies the significance of distilling substantial representations from the audio modality and transmuting these into the image domain. Subsequently, this audio-image depiction is fused with the video modality to formulate a unified representation. This concerted approach strives to exploit the contextual richness inherent in both audio and video modalities, thereby promoting action recognition. In contrast to existing state-of-the-art strategies that focus solely on audio or video modalities, MAiVAR-T demonstrates superior performance. Our extensive empirical evaluations conducted on a benchmark action recognition dataset corroborate the model's remarkable performance. This underscores the potential enhancements derived from integrating audio and video modalities for action recognition purposes. Surrogate-assisted evolutionary algorithms (SAEAs) have demonstrated promising optimization performance in addressing expensive dynamic optimization problems or expensive multimodal optimization problems. However, none of existing SAEAs are designed specifically for tackling expensive dynamic multimodal optimization problems (EDMMOPs). Therefore, in this paper, a first SAEA for tackling EDMMOPs is proposed. First, a nearest density clustering is designed to divide the population into a number of subpopulations, enhancing the diversity of the population. Then, a surrogate-assisted evolutionary optimizer is developed to construct surrogate models for each subpopulation and evolve all solutions in subpopulations by means of the built surrogate models, accelerating the population's converge towards several optimal solutions rapidly. Finally, a transfer learning-based prediction is devised to generate initial samples for next environment by leveraging the stored training samples in the previous environments. To assess the performance of our proposed algorithm, a set of complex benchmark problems is adopted, and the experimental results confirm its superior performance over several competitive algorithms on most test cases. © 2024 IEEE.

In this era of big data, a lot of data is produced in various forms every second through various sources. Text data is one of those types that is produced mainly through social media like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube comments, WhatsApp, etc. To know the public's point of view on a specific issue, we can perform sentiment analysis on the text data collected from the above sites. Even though various algorithms have been proposed for sentiment analysis, these algorithms have issues of high time complexity and low context awareness, leading to low classification accuracy. To resolve the above issues, we propose an attention-based sentiment analyzer for real-world sentiment analysis named 'ASAnalyzer', which uses CNN+Attention-Based BiGRU. CNN is used to extract local features from the tweets, and then these features are used by Attention-Based BiGRU to learn the contextual information of the tweets and the long-term dependencies in both directions of the text, which helps to improve accuracy. To validate our algorithm, we used tweet data about the anti-COVID-19 vaccine from Twitter, and the results have shown that our method outperformed other state-of-the-art methods. © 2023 IEEE.

The pooling operation is used in graph classification tasks to leverage hierarchical structures preserved in data and reduce computational ***,pooling shrinkage discards graph details,and existing pooling methods may lead to the loss of key classification *** this work,we propose a residual convolutional graph neural network to tackle the problem of key classification features ***,our contributions are threefold:(1)Different from existing methods,we propose a new strategy to calculate sorting values and verify their importance for graph *** strategy does not only use features of simple nodes but also their neighbors for the accurate evaluation of its importance.(2)We design a new graph convolutional layer architecture with the residual *** feeding discarded features back into the network architecture,we reduce the probability of losing critical features for graph classification.(3)We propose a new method for graph-level *** messages for each node are aggregated separately,and then different attention levels are assigned to each node and merged into a graph-level representation to retain structural and critical information for *** experimental results show that our method leads to state-of-the-art results on multiple graph classification benchmarks.
