The Wireless Sensor Network(WSN)is a network that is constructed in regions that are inaccessible to human *** widespread deployment of wireless micro sensors will make it possible to conduct accurate environmental monitoring for a use in both civil and military *** make use of these data to monitor and keep track of the physical data of the surrounding environment in order to ensure the sustainability of the *** data have to be picked up by the sensor,and then sent to the sink node where they may be *** nodes of the WSNs are powered by batteries,therefore they eventually run out of *** energy restriction has an effect on the network life span and environmental *** objective of this study is to further improve the Engroove Leach(EL)protocol’s energy efficiency so that the network can operate for a very long time while consuming the least amount of *** lifespan of WSNs is being extended often using clustering and routing *** Meta Inspired Hawks Fragment Optimization(MIHFO)system,which is based on passive clustering,is used in this study to do *** cluster head is chosen based on the nodes’residual energy,distance to neighbors,distance to base station,node degree,and node *** on distance,residual energy,and node degree,an algorithm known as Heuristic Wing Antfly Optimization(HWAFO)selects the optimum path between the cluster head and Base Station(BS).They examine the number of nodes that are active,their energy consumption,and the number of data packets that the BS *** overall experimentation is carried out under the MATLAB *** the analysis,it has been discovered that the suggested approach yields noticeably superior outcomes in terms of throughput,packet delivery and drop ratio,and average energy consumption.

This multi-center randomized controlled trial explores the therapeutic benefits of Indian classical music, specifically “Raga Therapy,” for managing diabetes, thyroid disorders, and hypertension—prevalent global health issues. The study examines how specific Ragas can enhance traditional treatments: Bhimpalas and Chhanayat for hypertension, Malkauns and Bhupal Todi for diabetes, and Shyam Kalyan and Yaman for thyroid disorders. Results show significant health improvements in patients integrating Raga Therapy into their care, highlighting its holistic benefits. The study underscores the profound connection between music and healing, positioning Indian classical music as a valuable complementary therapy. By addressing a critical gap in the literature, it advocates for further research to understand the mechanisms involved and refine Raga selection for optimal therapeutic outcomes. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

Materials datasets usually contain many redundant(highly similar)materials due to the tinkering approach historically used in material *** redundancy skews the performance evaluation of machine learning(ML)models when using random splitting,leading to overestimated predictive performance and poor performance on out-of-distribution *** issue is well-known in bioinformatics for protein function prediction,where tools like CD-HIT are used to reduce redundancy by ensuring sequence similarity among samples greater than a given *** this paper,we survey the overestimated ML performance in materials science for material property prediction and propose MD-HIT,a redundancy reduction algorithm for material *** MD-HIT to composition-and structure-based formation energy and band gap prediction problems,we demonstrate that with redundancy control,the prediction performances of the ML models on test sets tend to have relatively lower performance compared to the model with high redundancy,but better reflect models’true prediction capability.

HCBiL-DMN: an effective food infestation detection from stored food grains using deep learning model

Food Infestation Detection is more important for food safety and health concerns. It is a challenging task to separate the grains into infested or non-infested. It is found that in the existing system, there is no effective approach for the early detection of pest populations and for classifying crops as infested or non-infested. Therefore, the identification and categorization of early-stage grain infestations is in high demand. To address the above problem, this research presents a better technique for detecting and classifying infested and non-infested grains. Initially, the maize, wheat and olive image datasets are collected, which are then pre-processed using data normalization and adaptive wiener filtering (AdwF) approach to improve the excellence of the input images. Image quality helps in achieving better performance and also helps in analyzing the quality of food grains effectively. Feature extraction is done using the Dense Residual Pyramidal Dilated Convolution Network (DR-PDCNet) technique, and feature selection is done using the Linear Discriminant Coati Optimization (LD-CoA) algorithm. The Hybrid Convolutional Bi-LSTM based Deep Maxout Network (HCBiL-DMN) model is used to detect the infected food grains in the preserved food grains with high accuracy. This research explores the potential and future possibilities for using technology to ensure the quality, assessment, and monitoring of nutritional grains during storage. The performance results are achieved with 98.3% accuracy, 99.12% recall, 98.65% precision, 98.02% MCC, and 99.32% F1 score. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

DDSS: Driver decision support system based on the driver behaviour prediction to avoid accidents in intelligent transport system

Accidents caused by drivers who exhibit unusual behavior are putting road safety at ever-greater risk. When one or more vehicle nodes behave in this way, it can put other nodes in danger and result in potentially catastrophic accidents. In order to anticipate and handle unusual driving behavior in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), this research presents a unique Driver Decision Support System (DDSS). A reliable driving behavior prediction system is used by the suggested DDSS to categorize drivers as displaying normal or abnormal behavior. In order to prevent accidents in ITS scenarios, the system reliably detects anomalous driving patterns and advises nearby vehicles to change lanes or alter speed. The driver behavior prediction algorithm efficiently groups drivers into behavior categories using the K-Means clustering method. In order to evaluate the algorithm's efficacy, a comparative analysis is conducted by comparing its outcomes against those of Support Vector Machines (SVMs), Decision Trees, K-Nearest Neighbours (KNN), Logistic Regression, and Naïve Bayes. The integration of the Driver Decision Support System into the Intelligent Transportation System infrastructure serves to augment endeavours in accident prevention. Monitoring and analysis of driver behavior enable timely interventions, promoting safer driving practices and reducing accident risks. This research helps to create a more effective transportation system by reducing the number of accidents brought on by reckless driving. Because of its novel method to anticipating and controlling driver behavior, the proposed DDSS has promise for improving road safety and preventing accidents. The efficacy and the dependability of the driver behavior prediction algorithm are confirmed by the experimental assessment. © 2023

Advancements in neuromorphic computing have given an impetus to the development of systems with adaptive behavior,dynamic responses,and energy efficiency *** charge-based or emerging memory technologies such as memristors have been developed to emulate synaptic plasticity,replicating the key functionality of neurons—integrating diverse presynaptic inputs to fire electrical impulses—has remained *** this study,we developed reconfigurable metal-oxide-semiconductor capacitors(MOSCaps)based on hafnium diselenide(HfSe2).The proposed devices exhibit(1)optoelectronic synaptic features and perform separate stimulus-associated learning,indicating considerable adaptive neuron emulation,(2)dual light-enabled charge-trapping and memcapacitive behavior within the same MOSCap device,whose threshold voltage and capacitance vary based on the light intensity across the visible spectrum,(3)memcapacitor volatility tuning based on the biasing conditions,enabling the transition from volatile light sensing to non-volatile optical data *** reconfigurability and multifunctionality of MOSCap were used to integrate the device into a leaky integrate-and-fire neuron model within a spiking neural network to dynamically adjust firing patterns based on light stimuli and detect exoplanets through variations in light intensity.

For better patient diagnosis and treatment, medical facilities need to be advanced. With the assistance of machine learning, we can large and sophisticated medical datasets for analyzing them and getting clinical insights. Then, doctors can use this to continue offering medical care. Therefore, machine learning can boost patient happiness when it is used in healthcare. We try to incorporate machine learning skills into a single healthcare system in this work. By using precise machine learning predictive algorithms to replace diagnosis with disease prediction, healthcare can be made smarter. In some situations, a disease cannot be detected in its earliest stages. Therefore, disease prediction can be applied successfully. Prediction of diseases and epidemic outbreaks might result in an early prevention of a disease's emergence, as said by the wise, 'Prevention is better than cure. The major focus of this paper is the development of an enhanced system, or more accurately, an urgent medical provision that would incorporate symptoms. Because there is so much medical metadata available in different formats, the user becomes perplexed. The recommender system's purpose is to adapt to the particular user-related demands of the health department. © 2023 IEEE.

This research work presents a novel language intervention system for Tamil-speaking children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The system satisfies the considerable requirement for tools aimed at one more section of population that has actually been forgotten by mainstream economics. Traditional language learning applications often lack specificity for diverse linguistic contexts, focusing on general learning rather than the unique challenges faced by ASD children. The proposed solution leverages Deep Learning (DL) modules to transform partial spoken Tamil words into complete, child-friendly vocabulary. This system goes beyond simple word completion;it incorporates interactive features to engage children with ASD and promote active learning. Preliminary evaluations yielded promising results, suggesting the system's potential in enhancing communication skills among Tamil-speaking children with ASD. This paper research study reviews the limitations of existing language learning tools and the rationale behind employing a DL-based approach. We discuss the specific DL architecture (e.g., Recurrent Neural Networks) envisioned for the system and how it will be trained on a corpus of Tamil speech data. This study also investigate the potential advantages beyond vocabulary learning, such as improved sentence formulation and the development of practical language abilities. Future ambitions include broadening the system's scope to include more languages, refining the DL model through ongoing training with enriched datasets, and conducting extensive user research with varied ASD populations. Validation across demographics is critical to ensuring the system's efficiency and generality. This research has the potential to bridge the language acquisition gap for Tamil-speaking children with ASD, empowering them to develop crucial communication skills and fostering their social inclusion. © 2024 IEEE.

Monitoring COVID-19 environment: a real-time facial mask detection using YOLO models

Purpose: The rapid spread of COVID-19 has resulted in significant harm and impacted tens of millions of people globally. In order to prevent the transmission of the virus, individuals often wear masks as a protective measure for themselves and others. Coronavirus protection guidelines have been published by the World Health Organization (WHO). According to WHO standards, COVID-19 can be prevented by wearing a mask in public places and congested regions. In these places, it is very difficult to personally check to see if people are wearing face masks or not. Methods: The objective of this research work is to build a powerful, efficient, and real-time approach for detecting people not wearing masks. Three cutting-edge object identification models, namely YOLOv4, Tiny-YOLOv4, and YOLOv5, are employed in this study for the identification of masked faces. Result: The proposed YOLOv5 model is evaluated using real-time images captured using a smartphone or tablet. The test images include both single and multiple people with and without masks. The YOLOv5 model achieved recognition accuracy of 88.90% with an average detection speed of 0.0316 s per image, whereas the YOLOv4 and Tiny-YOLOv4 produced recognition accuracy of 82.24% and 74.80% with an average detection speed of 0.0530 s and 0.0541 s per image, respectively. Conclusion: The comparative performance suggests that the YOLOv5 model has a maximum recognition accuracy of 88.90% in face mask identification tasks compared to other models such as the YOLOv4 and Tiny-YOLOv4. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to The Brazilian Society of Biomedical engineering 2025.
