While the web3 is used to form a decentralized society and focuses particularly on financial transactions in the form of transferable tokens rather than ensuring trust among its entities. With this paper we discuss how non-transferable tokens referred as soulbound tokens (SBTs) can be used to make individuals more credible by having their affiliations encoded in the form of souls to ensure trust within the network. More specifically we discuss how the credentials of students regards to their academic achievements and their credibility can be stored and verified in an decentralized society which shall provide more privacy and security than a centralized system which shall eventually lead to have a higher credibility of data. © 2023 IEEE.

The traditional method of monitoring attendance is more time-consuming, and proxy and absentee attendance are con- stant possibilities. With the advent of disruptive technologies, one of the most promising solutions to address the aforementioned problem is an attendance tracking system based on facial recognition (selfies). Moreover, the emotions gathered in the selfie can be utilized to improve the efficacy of class engagement. The CNN algorithm is used for picture recognition and emotional analysis, while the RESNET architecture is used to boost the robustness of the model. The two main topics of this paper are emotional analysis and smart attendance tracking. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2023.

This research proposes a novel machine learning approach to detect cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) in electrocardiogram (ECG) images. The goal is to improve diagnostic accuracy and efficiency within the healthcare system. CVDs remain the leading cause of death globally, emphasizing the importance of early and accurate diagnosis for effective treatment. ECG signals provide valuable information for assessing cardiovascular health. The methodology utilizes advanced machine learning algorithms for classification. First, it pre-processes ECG signals to extract relevant features. The results demonstrate the machine learning model's potential as a significant diagnostic tool by showcasing its accuracy in detecting various cardiovascular illnesses from ECG images. Specifically, this research leveraged the power of machine learning to predict four major heart abnormalities: arrhythmias, myocardial infarction (heart attack), heart failure, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. This investigation explores how different machine learning methods perform when analyzing ECG images to identify cardiovascular diseases. The primary objective is to identify the algorithm that delivers the highest accuracy in classifying ECG images for CVD detection. Decision trees are best suited for working with data organized in tables, where each entry has specific numerical values or categories. Random forests, like decision trees, are primarily designed to handle data in a tabular format with features like numbers or categories. ECG image analysis necessitates techniques adept at recognizing intricate patterns within the pixels of an image. The ultimate goal is to identify the most effective machine learning approach for accurate CVD detection using ECG images, potentially leading to improved healthcare system efficiency and patient outcomes. In the proposed system the algorithm with the highest accuracy for CVD diagnosis using ECG image analysis is the Decision Tree, achieving 59.36% accuracy. © 2024

For a person to be physically, psychologically, and socially healthy, having a positive outlook on life is essential. Money alone won't make your life peaceful unless you also have peace of mind. In today's competitive society, when everyone is racing to the finish line, many other considerations are being carelessly disregarded. Stress, worry, and other issues among others all harm mental health. In order to address the aforementioned issue, this research suggests early detection and assistance for problems encountered in identifying a person's mental *** system consists of 2 modules namely - 1) Facial Emotion Detection 2) Assistance. The output of all the models is combined and by further analysis, the final outcome is given in the form of prediction of the user's state of mind and also further assistance to enhance their mood. © 2023 IEEE.

Visual speech Recognition is a method of understanding speech that allows for visual interpretation of speech sounds. Though most people who have normal hearing process some voice information from the sight of the moving mouth, Visual Speech Recognition is most commonly employed by those who are deaf or hard of hearing. Additionally, conversing clearly in loud surroundings can be improved by comprehending the linguistic clues of visual speech recognition systems. By utilizing the inherent existence of audio and visual streams in videos, a model for identifying the effects of intermodal self-monitoring for speech reconstruction (video-audio) is proposed in this paper. The model, which does not require human annotation, utilizes an attention architecture and an autoregressive encoder-decoder. For the purpose of reconstructing speech, we directly map silent face movement sequences to mel-scale spectrograms. © 2023 IEEE.

Images have been used as evidence for a long time. With the introduction of digital images, there was a rise in manipulation of these images. This was a serious issue as morphed images cause misinterpretation of information available in the image. To counter image forgeries, many methodologies were developed. While some of them were computational intensive, others suffered with less accuracy. This research paper presents a novel approach to the above problem by using a LoG (Laplacian of Gaussian) filter and DCT (Discrete CosineTransform) on the image to detect a type of forgery known as Copy-Move Forgery. © 2023 IEEE.

Edge detection is identifying the discontinuities in the intensity of the pixel and grouping the contour of edges. Edge detection in digital images is a significant phenomenon in computer vision. In the initial stages of development of edge detection techniques, typical methods like Sobel Canny came into existence. These methods are fast but sensitive towards noise. Soft computing techniques like ant colony optimization (ACO), Genetic Algorithms (GA), Particle Swarm optimization (PSO) and Fuzzy Logic System (FLS) have extensive application in image edge detection due to their adaptiveness. In this paper, prominent ACO based techniques for edge detection are discussed and compared. The quality of edges identified by ACO based edge detection technique depends on the choice of constants, pheromone evaporation rate, number of iterations etc. © 2022 IEEE.
