Road Side Units(RSUs)are the essential component of vehicular communication for the objective of improving safety and mobility in the road *** are generally deployed at the roadside and more specifically at the intersections in order to collect traffic information from the vehicles and disseminate alarms and messages in emergency situations to the neighborhood vehicles cooperating with the ***,the development of a predominant RSUs placement algorithm for ensuring competent communication in VANETs is a challenging issue due to the hindrance of obstacles like water bodies,trees and *** this paper,Ruppert’s Delaunay Triangulation Refinement Scheme(RDTRS)for optimal RSUs placement is proposed for accurately estimating the optimal number of RSUs that has the possibility of enhancing the area of coverage during data *** RDTRS is proposed by considering the maximum number of factors such as global coverage,intersection popularity,vehicle density and obstacles present in the map for optimal RSUs placement,which is considered as the core improvement over the existing RSUs optimal placement *** is contributed for deploying requisite RSUs with essential transmission range for maximal coverage in the convex map such that each position of the map could be effectively covered by at least one RSU in the presence of *** simulation experiments of the proposed RDTRS are conducted with complex road traffic *** results of this proposed RDTRS confirmed its predominance in reducing the end-to-end delay by 21.32%,packet loss by 9.38%with improved packet delivery rate of 10.68%,compared to the benchmarked schemes.

Enabling Technology Integrated Learning for Autistic Children Using Augmented Reality Based Cognitive Rehabilitation

Augmented reality (AR)-based rehabilitation is an excellent teaching tool (ICT tool) for simulating daily activities for autistic children. Children with autism may become more mentally capable with this type of AR-based rehabilitation. It is intended to observe the children's performance in terms of concentration, attention, and identification. The observation has been done through placards as a target image to display the 3D objects on a mobile phone or tablet. In this project, observations are made for 21 autism children in the age group of 7–14, out of whom 17 are boys and 5 are girls. Those 21 children are given practice identifying 15 different objects in an augmented reality environment. Their performance was initially evaluated using conventional instructional techniques. The majority of the kids were having more difficulty identifying things during that observation. Then, with an Augmented Reality environment, the identical observation has been made once more. Using a mobile device or tablet, the 3D objects from the provided placard photos are produced in an augmented reality environment with animation and voice in the languages of English and Tamil. Children with autism are able to recognize and also grasp the behaviors of those objects while viewing them in 3D. Their efforts are measured using a two-point scale (0, 1, 2). The pre-assessment and post-assessment reports for the above observations are tabulated. All the observations are made in the presence of the special education teacher (therapist). However, the children observed in this project fall into three different categories: mild, moderate, and severe. In the Mild category, statistical significance is evident with p values of 0.002 in pre-assessment and 0.014 in post-assessment. Likewise, in the Moderate category, where p values are 0.023 in pre-assessment and 0.033 in post-assessment, significance is observed, as all p values fall below the chosen significance level of 0.05. Internet of Things is one of the prevalent and inevitable trends of the current era where data is found to be scattered among sensing devices. This paper addresses about preserving the privacy and security of the data that is distributed among the sensors collected by the users in Industrial Internet of Things infrastructure domain. This work adopts a dynamic authentication key agreement strategy which permits authenticated users to access the data which is distributed among various IoT sensing devices. In the proposed work an efficient Key Agreement and Authentication Scheme is designed to ensure the establishment of secure data communication. The model called Real-or-Random and tool named Automated Validation of Internet Security Protocols are deployed to ensure the secured transmission of data collected by innumerous sensors deployed across the network. Scaling of the network is done by addition of new nodes followed by pre-deployment phase and restoration of the transmission route is done effectively if any intrusion is found. The performance of the scheme is validated by measuring the parameters such as throughput, residual energy, packet dropping rate and delay analysis and it is found that the proposed scheme is superior compared with existing schemes. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management.

American Sign Language (ASL) recognition aims to recognize hand gestures, and it is a crucial solution to communicating between the deaf community and hearing people. However, existing sign language recognition algorithms still have some drawbacks, such as difficulty recognizing hand movements and low recognition accuracy for most sign language recognition. A Modified Convolutional Neural Network (MCNN) deep residual 101 classifier-based American Sign Language identification system has been developed to address this problem. There are three main parts presents in the method. The first part is pre-processing the images to remove the noise, enhance the contrast of the picture, adjust the contrast level and smoothen the picture using various filters. The second part is the segmentation, and it’s used to partition the image using a modified canny edge detection method by removing all weak edges present in the image. Finally, classification will be done using the Modified CNN deep residual 101 classifiers. By classifying the image, the American Sign Language is accurately identified. This process is conducted through images. The outcome shows that the suggested approach has a 0.97% accuracy and a 0.05% False Positive Rate. Other CNN architectures such as resNet 50 and resNet 18 reached 0.90% and 0.80% accuracy, respectively, which is lower than our proposed method. In addition, the resNet 101 classifier effectively recognizes the difficult hand gestures through the image data. It obtains high recognition accuracy for 36 signs is 0 to 9 numbers and a to z alphabets from American Sign Language. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Sign language consisting of various hand patterns, serves as a vital communication medium for conveying messages, sharing knowledge, and expressing ideas among the deaf community. This research addresses the challenge of recognising Tamil Sign Language (TSL) by proposing a novel identification method using a Hamiltonian deep neural network (HDNN). The primary objective is to maximise the accuracy and reliability of TSL recognition, especially for real-time applications. The dataset comprises real-time images of 12 vowels, 1 Aayutha Ezhuthu, and 18 consonants, collected from 110 different signers. To address noise in the images, an iterative guided filtering (IGF) method is employed for preprocessing. Subsequently, feature extraction is performed using residual exemplars local binary pattern (RELBP). HDNN is then applied to classify the signs. The performance of the proposed approach achieves 23.32%, 25.07%, 21%, 27.53%, and 30% higher accuracy and 14.09%, 19.63%, 28%, 18.45%, and 10.54% lower error rates compared to existing methods. Onion URLs lead to the dark web, a mysterious and secretive internet space with many websites. This paper proposes a novel content-based classification of. onion URLs. Given the concerns surrounding the dark web's anonymity, the project aims to classify these hidden services as either 'benign' or 'potentially harmful. ' The method involves scraping. onion websites for text and metadata, followed by natural language processing and machine learning analysis of word frequencies, sentiment, and topic modeling. A labeled dataset with strict criteria is utilized to train and fine-tune classification models. This project assists dark web users in identifying legitimate and risky services and contributes to discussions on content analysis and classification in anonymized online environments. With onion URLs mostly hidden and unindexed, the research advances privacy and security in this unique digital space. By automating the classification of. onion URLs, a valuable tool is provided, contributing to content analysis, online anonymity, and internet safety discussions. The fast increase of network traffic in recent times causes significant detection of intrusions in Internet of Things (IoT) environments. Currently, Deep Learning (DL) models play a crucial role in cyber security for malicious identification and intrusion detection in IoT networks. The existing methods have drawbacks like overfitting, data imbalance, and not completely capturing complex dependencies and relationships among input and features that are significant for intrusion detection. To overcome these limitations, Stacked Autoencoder (SAE) with weighted loss function is proposed for effective Intrusion Detection System (IDS). The SAE includes weighted loss function to minimize the overfitting issue and finally, the One Class-Support Vector Machine (OCSVM) is used in the classification layer to classify the intrusions. The database used for intrusion detection in IoT environment are Bot-IoT and ToN-IoT databases, which undergo pre-processing by using standard scalar and min–max normalization to remove duplicates and inconsistent data in the databases. Then, the optimal features are selected by using firefly optimizer which selects active features values for classification. In the resulting phase, the stacked autoencoder obtains 99.99%, and 99.70% of classification accuracy on the Bot-IoT and ToN-IoT databases, respectively, which are superior while compared to the traditional autoencoder model. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.
