This study introduces a label-free biosensing method for biomolecule detection utilizing an InP/AlGaAs charge plasma dielectric-modulated vertical tunnel field-effect transistor (InP/AlGaAs VTFET) featuring TaN as the metal gate. The device comprises a nanocavity beneath the gate metal adjacent to the tunnelling junction, where biomolecules engage with the dielectric material, resulting in fluctuations in the drain current. A twin metal gate architecture with laterally split dielectrics is employed to eliminate short-channel effects. The biosensor has exceptional sensitivity, attaining a peak drain current sensitivity of 2.5 × 10 cm2 for biomolecules such as albumin (k = 7). The gadget proficiently identifies biomolecules with varying dielectric constants and charge distributions, enabling adaptable label-free detection of diverse targets. The study examines the influence of dielectric constant on critical metrics such as Energy Band Diagrams, Drain Current, Drain Sensitivity, and subthreshold swing (SS). The overlap between the source and pocket regions, along with the introduction of an auxiliary gate, optimizes the electrical characteristics. Simulation results show that the proposed InP/AlGaAs VTFET achieves a maximum sensitivity of 3.5 × 103, outperforming configurations without overlap (2 × 103), highlights the potential of proposed InP/AlGaAs VTFET for scalable, high-sensitivity, label-free biomolecule detection. © 2013 IEEE.

Optimized Two-Level Ensemble Model for Predicting the Parameters of Metamaterial Antenna

Employing machine learning techniques in predicting the parameters of metamaterial antennas has a significant impact on the reduction of the time needed to design an antenna with optimal parameters using simulation *** this paper,we propose a new approach for predicting the bandwidth of metamaterial antenna using a novel ensemble *** proposed ensemble model is composed of two levels of regression *** first level consists of three strong models namely,random forest,support vector regression,and light gradient boosting *** the second level is based on the ElasticNet regression model,which receives the prediction results from the models in the first level for refinement and producing the final optimal *** achieve the best performance of these regression models,the advanced squirrel search optimization algorithm(ASSOA)is utilized to search for the optimal set of hyper-parameters of each *** results show that the proposed two-level ensemble model could achieve a robust prediction of the bandwidth of metamaterial antenna when compared with the recently published ensemble models based on the same publicly available benchmark *** findings indicate that the proposed approach results in root mean square error(RMSE)of(0.013),mean absolute error(MAE)of(0.004),and mean bias error(MBE)of(0.0017).These results are superior to the other competing ensemble models and can predict the antenna bandwidth more accurately.

Quantum Machine and Deep Learning for Medical Image Classification: A Systematic Review of Trends, Methodologies, and Future Directions

Quantum Learning (QL) has emerged as a promising approach to medical image classification, leveraging the principles of quantum mechanics to improve the performance and efficiency of machine learning algorithms. This systematic review provides a comprehensive critical assessment of the current status of QL techniques developed for medical image classification, with a specific focus on trends, methodologies, and future directions in this rapidly evolving field. A thorough literature search was conducted across five major databases, resulting in a total of 28 relevant studies published between 2018 and 2024. The studies were analyzed and classified based on the type of quantum algorithm, the medical image modality, and the performance metrics used. The analysis revealed a diverse range of QL techniques, including Quantum Support Vector Machines (QSVM), Quantum Convolutional Neural Networks (QCNN), and various hybrid quantum-classical approaches. These techniques have been applied to diverse medical image classification tasks, such as brain tumor classification, skin lesion classification, and COVID-19 detection, demonstrating promising results in terms of accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity. However, several challenges were identified, including the preprocessing and encoding of medical images for quantum processing, the limited scalability of current quantum hardware, and the need for interpretable and explainable QL models. This review underscores the immense potential of QL to revolutionize medical image classification, while also emphasizing the necessity of multidisciplinary collaborations and further research to overcome existing challenges and facilitate the integration of QL techniques into clinical practice. © 2025 The Author(s).

The IEEE802.15.4 standard has been widely used in modern industry due to its several benefits for stability,scalability,and enhancement of wireless mesh *** standard uses a physical layer of binary phase-shift keying(BPSK)modulation and can be operated with two frequency bands,868 and 915 *** frequency noise could interfere with the BPSK signal,which causes distortion to the signal before its arrival at ***,filtering the BPSK signal from noise is essential to ensure carrying the signal from the sen-der to the receiver with less ***,removing signal noise in the BPSK signal is necessary to mitigate its negative sequences and increase its capability in industrial wireless sensor ***,researchers have reported a posi-tive impact of utilizing the Kalmen filter in detecting the modulated signal at the receiver side in different communication systems,including ***-while,artificial neural network(ANN)and machine learning(ML)models outper-formed results for predicting signals for detection and classification *** paper develops a neural network predictive detection method to enhance the performance of BPSK ***,a simulation-based model is used to generate the modulated signal of BPSK in the IEEE802.15.4 wireless personal area network(WPAN)***,Gaussian noise was injected into the BPSK simulation *** reduce the noise of BPSK phase signals,a recurrent neural networks(RNN)model is implemented and integrated at the receiver side to esti-mate the BPSK’s phase *** evaluated our predictive-detection RNN model using mean square error(MSE),correlation coefficient,recall,and F1-score *** result shows that our predictive-detection method is superior to the existing model due to the low MSE and correlation coefficient(R-value)metric for different signal-to-noise(SNR)*** addition,our RNN-based model scored 98.71%and 96.34%based on recall and F1-score,respectively.

Adaptive Attribute-Based Honey Encryption: A Novel Solution for Cloud Data Security

A basic procedure for transforming readable data into encoded forms is encryption, which ensures security when the right decryption keys are used. Hadoop is susceptible to possible cyber-attacks because it lacks built-in security measures, even though it can effectively handle and store enormous datasets using the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS). The increasing number of data breaches emphasizes how urgently creative encryption techniques are needed in cloud-based big data settings. This paper presents Adaptive Attribute-Based Honey Encryption (AABHE), a state-of-the-art technique that combines honey encryption with Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption (CP-ABE) to provide improved data security. Even if intercepted, AABHE makes sure that sensitive data cannot be accessed by unauthorized parties. With a focus on protecting huge files in HDFS, the suggested approach achieves 98% security robustness and 95% encryption efficiency, outperforming other encryption methods including Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption (CP-ABE), Key-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption (KB-ABE), and Advanced Encryption Standard combined with Attribute-Based Encryption (AES+ABE). By fixing Hadoop’s security flaws, AABHE fortifies its protections against data breaches and enhances Hadoop’s dependability as a platform for processing and storing massive amounts of data.

Opinion mining for stock trend prediction using deep learning

Stock market prediction by using Machine Learning (ML) models has been a hot topic of research for more than a decade. Combined with the power of sentiment analysis and ML, social media posts like tweets and financial news can have a big impact on how accurately stock market price predictions are made. Our proposed work makes use of social media posts from Twitter and Google Finance data to predict the price of the stock market using DL techniques. To perform this job, we propose a method that first introduces a concept of fake tweets detection and removal using BERT and then we prepare our dataset using preprocessing techniques. The feature extraction is performed using FastText and VADER, after that the prediction is made through the Deep Belief Network. Two datasets (i.e., Sentiment140 and Twitter real-time data) were used in the experiments and attained 89.12% accuracy along with precision, recall, and F1-Score of 90.15%, 89.12%, and 89.67%. This research not only refines stock market prediction accuracy through a sophisticated blend of sentiment analysis and ML but also introduces novel methodologies in fake tweet detection, feature extraction, and prediction models, charting new territories in the pursuit of precision and reliability. Results reveal that the proposed method performs better in terms of overall accuracy than the most recent methods. We intend to expand the functionality of our approach in the future by including additional well-known social media, such as Facebook and Google News, etc. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.
