Image processing, specifically extracting regions of interest, being a costly operation would benefit from a method of storing its output region and input image data in a database for future querying so as to prevent re-execution of the processing operation. This study investigates the performance of using built-in spatial queries found in a couple of modern Database systems to store and retrieve specific regions of image data. After testing two widely used Database software: MongoDB and Postgresql, results have shown that MongoDB performs better in terms of average and tail latency as well as efficiency in disk space consumption. © 2022 IEEE.

This article describes a new technology for the formation of compacted code structures based on maximum length sequences. The most important distinguishing feature of the code division method presented here is the absence of requirements for the orthogonality of sequences that can be used as address combinations when organizing parallel data transmission. Thus, the identification of information recipients is carried out at the physical level using special signal-code structures. At the same time, it is possible to implement a system with anonymous recipients, when any of the recipient nodes does not have information about what data was transferred to other nodes. The communication system model built in accordance with such principles allows the use of the most noise-resistant type of modulation, for example, binary phase-shift keying. This, in turn, ensures the minimum peak factor of the signal. It is also worth noting that the main tool for processing the resulting compacted code structures are dual bases of Galois fields. © 2024 IEEE.

Photography is the most important, powerful, and reliable means of expression. Today, digital images not only provide disinformation but also act as agents for secret communication. Users and editing professionals work with digital images for a variety of purposes. Images are often regarded as facts or proof of reality, so they are misleading and fake news or publications of any form that use images manipulated in a highly misleading way. To recognize image tampering needs multiple image data and a model that can handle all the pixels in the image. Furthermore, training the data more efficiently and needed flexibility support everyday use. Models based on Deep learning such as Convolutional Neural networks with error level analysis (ELA) are the perfect solution. © 2024 IEEE.

Consolidating TinyML Lifecycle with Large Language Models: Reality, Illusion, or Opportunity?

The evolving requirements of Internet of Things (IoT) applications are driving an increasing shift toward bringing intelligence to the edge, enabling real-time insights and decision-making within resource-constrained environments. Tiny Machine Learning (TinyML) has emerged as a key enabler of this evolution, facilitating the deployment of ML models on devices such as microcontrollers and embedded systems. However, the complexity of managing the TinyML lifecycle, including stages such as data processing, model optimization and conversion, and device deployment, presents significant challenges and often requires substantial human intervention. Motivated by these challenges, we began exploring whether Large Language Models (LLMs) could help automate and streamline the TinyML lifecycle. We developed a framework that leverages the natural language processing (NLP) and code generation capabilities of LLMs to reduce development time and lower the barriers to entry for TinyML deployment. Through a case study involving a computer vision classification model, we demonstrate the framework’s ability to automate key stages of the TinyML lifecycle. Our findings suggest that LLM-powered automation holds potential for improving the lifecycle development process and adapting to diverse requirements. However, while this approach shows promise, there remain obstacles and limitations, particularly in achieving fully automated solutions. This paper sheds light on both the challenges and opportunities of integrating LLMs into TinyML workflows, providing insights into the path forward for efficient, AI-assisted embedded system development. Wireless sensor networks(WSNs)is one of the renowned ad hoc network technology that has vast varieties of applications such as in computer networks,bio-medical engineering,agriculture,industry and many *** has been used in the internet-of-things(IoTs)applications.A method for data collecting utilizing hybrid compressive sensing(CS)is developed in order to reduce the quantity of data transmission in the clustered sensor network and balance the network *** cluster head nodes are chosen first from each temporary cluster that is closest to the cluster centroid of the nodes,and then the cluster heads are selected in order based on the distance between the determined cluster head node and the undetermined candidate cluster head ***,each ordinary node joins the cluster that is nearest to *** greedy CS is used to compress data transmission for nodes whose data transmission volume is greater than the threshold in a data transmission tree with the Sink node as the root node and linking all cluster head *** simulation results demonstrate that when the compression ratio is set to ten,the data transfer volume is reduced by a factor of *** compared to clustering and SPT without CS,it is reduced by 75%and 65%,*** compared to SPT with Hybrid CS and Clustering with hybrid CS,it is reduced by 35%and 20%,*** and SPT without CS are compared in terms of node data transfer volume standard *** with Hybrid CS and clustering with Hybrid CS were both reduced by 62%and 80%,*** compared to SPT with hybrid CS and clustering with hybrid CS,the latter two were reduced by 41%and 19%,respectively.

Data integrity is a crucial property for offering Internet of Things (IoT) services. Usually, this is achieved by assuming a high level of trust in the service provider, a practice that induces negative implications. In the present paper, an efficient and lightweight commitment scheme for IoT data streams is presented. The proposed scheme combines KZG polynomial commitments and a blockchain smart contract to enable full data integrity while requiring trust only at the IoT device level. Given that the IoT device operates properly, no tampering can happen at any other point of the IoT workflow, without being noticed, while the protocol offers the option for automated settlement of cases where the operator tampers with users' data. A number of experiments have been conducted to assess the computation/gas fees requirements of the scheme and validate its real-world applicability. © 2023 IEEE.

A state-dependent discrete memoryless multiple access channel is considered to model an integrated sensing and communication system, where two transmitters wish to convey messages to a receiver while simultaneously estimating the state parameter sequences through echo signals. In particular, the sensing state parameters are assumed to be correlated with the channel state. In this setup, improved inner and outer bounds for capacity-distortion region are derived. The inner bound is based on an achievable scheme that combines message cooperation and joint compression of past transmitted codewords and echo signals at each transmitter, resulting in unified cooperative communication and sensing. The outer bound is based on the ideas of dependence balance for communication rate, genie-aided state estimator and rate-limited constraints on sensing distortion. The proposed inner and outer bounds are proved to improve the state-of-the-art bounds. Finally, numerical examples are provided to demonstrate that our new inner and outer bounds strictly improve the existing results. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

The problem of forecasting long sequences is important in many different domains. Proper selection of the hyperparameters when a machine learning approach is applied could make the difference between adequate and inadequate model. Several algorithms for automatic hyperparameters tuning were evaluated and compared with baseline selection. As a result, recommendations have been made. Some of the intuitive assumptions for the baseline model proved to be wrong. © 2022 IEEE.

General classification of multi-state UAV-based monitoring systems (MsUMSs) in view of types of used main and redundant unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), automatic battery maintenance stations (ABMSs), and mission efficiency degradation parameters is presented. General classification of reliability models for the MsUMS in view of the numbers of the main routes, route sections, UAVs, ABMSs, and degradation levels, is given and discussed. Reliability models for the MsUMS with various parameters are developed. The mission efficiency of the MsUMS and the probability of successful UAV mission plan fulfilment within the specified time frame on each of the degradation levels are utilized as basic indicators. Zero, one, and two-level-degradation reliability models for the MsUMS are explored and discussed in detail. A comparative analysis of the developed models is carried out. © 2023 IEEE.
