Important fields including healthcare, environmental monitoring, and military operations are seeing a rise in the use of wireless sensor networks (WSNs). But they are susceptible to complex cyber dangers, especially zero-day assaults, due to their dispersed nature and lack of resources. In order to protect WSNs against zero-day attacks, this research introduces an Adaptive Defense Mechanism (ADM). A dynamic response system that can adjust to changing attack patterns in real-time is integrated with machine learning-based anomaly detection in the proposed ADM. A hybrid model integrating Support Vector Machines (SVM) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks is used by the anomaly detection module. It achieves a detection accuracy of 94.7% on simulated zero-day assault scenarios. In comparison to static defensive systems, the ADM's adaptive response mechanism, which is based on reinforcement learning, dynamically modifies the network's security regulations, resulting in a 23.5% reduction in false positives. Results from testing the proposed ADM in a simulated WSN setting show that it can greatly improve the network's ability to withstand zero-day assaults. With assaults present, the total network throughput increased by 15% and the average detection time dropped to 0.35 seconds. Based on these findings, the ADM provides a strong and effective defensive technique, guaranteeing the safety and dependability of WSNs in mission-critical applications. © 2024 IEEE.

The present study proposes a hybrid optimization algorithm that involves the integration of Neural networks (NN), Genetic Algorithms(GA), and Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO) to improve the accuracy and efficiency of retinal image analysis. First, a wide range of features are extracted from retinal images and normalized. Then a NN is constructed with its weights and biases initialized to process these features. The fitness of each feature subset is measured with the help of a network's output, quantified by a Mean Squared Error(MSE)-based fitness function. Receiving fitness values, the GA component picks out the most important subsets of features, which are refined with crossover and mutation operations to retain diversity and improve the search process. In a parallel process, PSO dynamically adjusts the position of particles representing subsets of features through modification of velocity and position vectors under the influences of cognition and society. With the proposed integrated approach, iteratively, an optimal feature subset is generated by minimizing error and maximizing classification performance. Finally, after convergence, this last optimized subset of features is used in the final tuning of the NN to achieve a far-reaching improvement in the accuracy of classification. This method takes advantage of the complementary strengths of NN, GA, and PSO;therefore, it is able to provide an effective solution for the optimization of features within medical image analysis. © 2024 IEEE.

We propose a structure based on fiber-optic gyroscopes for gravity measurement in accordance with the tilt-coupling effect, where Sagnac effect can remove the coupling between translational and rotational motion in the tilt-coupling effect. A fiber-optic gyroscope with a sensitivity of 2 × 10−11 rad/s2/√Hz in sub-millihertz frequencies is reported, which can be utilized to measure the rotational motion in gravity measurement. The application of dual-polarization configuration improves the adaptability of exploration environment. © 2023 SPIE. All rights reserved.

This paper proposes a novel bi-fidelity control framework for robotic manipulators that integrates a high-fidelity model predictive control (MPC) scheme with a low-fidelity Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural network surrogate. Unlike conventional fixed-schedule approaches, our method employs an event-triggered mechanism that dynamically selects the appropriate controller based on a real-time error metric. This mechanism ensures that the computationally intensive MPC is invoked only when the LSTM approximation deviates beyond acceptable bounds. We rigorously established the near-optimal performance and closed-loop stability of our approach via Lyapunov analysis under mild assumptions, instilling confidence in its reliability. The simulation results on a three-arm manipulator, subject to low-frequency sinusoidal and high-frequency chirp trajectories, demonstrate that the proposed approach achieves up to 80–90% reduction in MPC calls, significantly improving the accuracy of the follow-up and computational efficiency. These findings highlight the potential of integrating learning-based approximations with conventional optimization-based control to achieve reliable and time-efficient performance in complex robotic manipulation tasks. © 2025 The Authors

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has been used to study the structural makeup of the brain and analyse several neurological disorders and diseased areas. For the adoption of preventative measures, early recognition of Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients is essential. Here, a thorough inspection of the tissue arrangements obtained by MRI images of Outcome and Assessment Information (OASIS) dataset enables an exact characterization of certain brain diseases. There have been a number of division techniques for diagnosing AD that range in complexity. Compassion has been tested by deep learning techniques used to segment the structure of the brain and classify AD because they have the potential to uncover important information from vast amounts of data. In this paper the deep learning technique of Hybrid Dragonfly based GWO convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is achieved promising result for the diagnosis of AD. At image preprocessing wiener filter is used for removing the additive noises and the Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM) extraction is implemented for texture analyzing. As a result, hybrid deep learning methods of CNN has the accuracy as 90% and the result of the image prediction are presented in this paper. © 2023 IEEE.

The growing volume of data streams poses distinct challenges for machine learning algorithms. For instance, real-time video analysis is challenging due to the similarity of consecutive frames and the general richness of the stream. In order to apply a supervised learning algorithm, one needs labels for the frames. However, not every frame can (nor should) be annotated due to limited budget constraints. Stream active learning addresses this problem by designing an acquisition function that assigns weights to every incoming frame. In this study, we combine stream active learning with self-supervised learning to utilize frames not selected for annotation. We experimentally show that adding additional, unannotated frames to the training batch and propagating labels boosts the accuracy of the algorithm. © 2024 IEEE.

Pushing artificial intelligence(AI) from central cloud to network edge has reached board consensus in both industry and academia for materializing the vision of artificial intelligence of things(AIoT) in the sixth-generation(6G) era. This gives rise to an emerging research area known as edge intelligence, which concerns the distillation of human-like intelligence from the vast amount of data scattered at the wireless network edge. Typically, realizing edge intelligence corresponds to the processes of sensing, communication,and computation, which are coupled ingredients for data generation, exchanging, and processing, ***, conventional wireless networks design the three mentioned ingredients separately in a task-agnostic manner, which leads to difficulties in accommodating the stringent demands of ultra-low latency, ultra-high reliability, and high capacity in emerging AI applications like auto-driving and metaverse. This thus prompts a new design paradigm of seamlessly integrated sensing, communication, and computation(ISCC) in a taskoriented manner, which comprehensively accounts for the use of the data in downstream AI tasks. In view of its growing interest, this study provides a timely overview of ISCC for edge intelligence by introducing its basic concept, design challenges, and enabling techniques, surveying the state-of-the-art advancements, and shedding light on the road ahead.

This work presents a dual band epsilon negative(ENG)metamaterial with a bilateral coupled split ring resonator(SRR)for use in C and X band wireless communication *** traditional split-ring resonator(SRR)has been amended with this engineered *** proposed metamaterial unit cell is realized on the 1.6 mm thick FR-4 printed media with a dimension of 10×10 *** resonating patch built with a square split outer *** interlinked inner rings are coupled vertically to the outer ring to extend its electrical length as well as to tune the resonance *** simulation is performed using CST studio suite 2019 to design and performance *** transmission coefficient(S21)of the proposed unit cell and array configuration exhibits two resonances at 6.7 and 10.5 GHz with wide bandwidth extended from 4.86 to 8.06 GHz and 10.1 to 11.2 GHz,*** permittivity is noted at frequencies between 6.76–9.5 GHz and 10.5–12 GHz,consecutively,with near-zero refractive index and *** optimal EMR value depicts the compactness of the proposed *** 1×2,2×2 and 4×4 arrays are analyzed that shows similar response compared to the unit *** results of the 2×2 array shows the close similarity of S21 response as compared to *** observed properties of the proposed unit cell ascertain its suitability for wireless communications by enhancing the gain and directivity of the antenna system.
