Gender analysis of Twitter could reveal significant socio-cultural differ-ences between female and male *** had been made to analyze and auto-matically infer gender formerly for more commonly spoken languages’content,but,as we now know that limited work is being undertaken for *** of the research works are done mainly for English and least amount of effort for non-English *** study for Arabic demographic inference like gen-der is relatively uncommon for social networking users,especially for ***,this study aims to design an optimal marginalized stacked denoising autoencoder for gender identification on Arabic Twitter(OMSDAE-GIAT)*** presented OMSDAE-GIAR technique mainly concentrates on the identifica-tion and classification of gender exist in the Twitter *** attain this,the OMS-DAE-GIAT model derives initial stages of data pre-processing and word ***,the MSDAE model is exploited for the identification of gender into two classes namely male and *** the final stage,the OMSDAE-GIAT technique uses enhanced bat optimization algorithm(EBOA)for parameter tuning process,showing the novelty of our *** performance validation of the OMSDAE-GIAT model is inspected against an Arabic corpus dataset and the results are measured under distinct *** comparison study reported the enhanced performance of the OMSDAE-GIAT model over other recent approaches.

Mathematical models and computer simulations are useful experimental tools for building and testing theories. Many mathematical models in biology can be formulated by a nonlinear system of ordinary differential equations. This work deals with the numerical solution of the hantavirus infection model, the human immunodeficiency virus （HIV） infection model of CD4^＋T cells and the susceptible-infected-removed （SIR） epidemic model using a new reliable algorithm based on shifted Boubaker Lagrangian （SBL） method. This method reduces the solution of such system to a system of linear or non- linear algebraic equations which are solved using the Newton iteration method. The obtained results of the proposed method show highly accurate and valid for an arbitrary finite interval. Also, those are compared with fourth-order Runge-Kutta （RK4） method and with the solutions obtained by some other methods in the literature.

The numbers of people who participate in outdoor activities are increasing;however, it has a certain risk of doing outdoor activities, such as wilderness rescue and losing the force while sailing. Therefore, people performing outdoor activities usually wear relevant safety devices. Currently, most users send emergency alarms through mobile phones;yet, the penetration rate of the fourth generation of broadband cellular network technology (4G Network) is not fully equipped in some rural areas, which causes victims failed to send emergency alarms. This study uses an Automatic Identification System (AIS) to develop a wearable safety device because the transmission range of AIS is wider than other types of systems, and it is easier to prepare essential functions in AIS wearable devices. When a victim presses the panic button, the system will send the alarm with a Global Positioning System (GPS) signal;the system will only detect the GPS location once when pressing the button to reduce power consumption, which avoids additional power consumption while repeating the detection. The research conducted practical experiments and discovered that the method is feasible in real-world applications. © 2020, ICST Institute for computer sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

A major problem in research on Textual Entailment (TE) is the high implementation effort for TE systems. Recently, interoperable standards for annotation and preprocessing have been proposed. In contrast, the algorithmic level remains unstandardized, which makes component re-use in this area very difficult in practice. In this paper, we introduce multi-level alignments as a central, powerful representation for TE algorithms that encourages modular, reusable, multilingual algorithm development. We demonstrate that a pilot open-source implementation of multi-level alignment with minimal features competes with state-of-theart open-source TE engines in three languages.

This work aims to develop a real-time image and video processor enabled with an artificial intelligence (AI) agent that can predict a job candidate’s behavioral competencies according to his or her facial expressions. This is accomplished using a real-time video-recorded interview with a histogram of oriented gradients and support vector machine (HOG-SVM) plus convolutional neural network (CNN) recognition. Different from the classical view of recognizing emotional states, this prototype system was developed to automatically decode a job candidate’s behaviors by their microexpressions based on the behavioral ecology view of facial displays (BECV) in the context of employment interviews using a real-time video-recorded interview. An experiment was conducted at a Fortune 500 company, and the video records and competency scores were collected from the company’s employees and hiring managers. The results indicated that our proposed system can provide better predictive power than can human-structured interviews, personality inventories, occupation interest testing, and assessment centers. As such, our proposed approach can be utilized as an effective screening method using a personal-value-based competency model. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH, DE part of Springer Nature.

Despite the national surge in interest in technology fields, student performance measures continue to reveal that many students lack the analytical skills to complete college level courses in math and computer science. The development of tools for the measurement and enhancement of metacognitive skills will be examined. The primary measuring tool, the Metacognitive Skills Inventory, was designed to measure metacognitive abilities. The inventory consists of two subscales: Decomposition and Confidence. The Decomposition subscale measures the subjects' awareness and reported use of the critical problem solving steps. Examples are problem identification, planning of solution strategies, and comparison of these strategies. The Confidence subscale, measures the extent to which subjects are confident in their own problem solving ability. The inventory has been used in studies comparing student grades in college courses, problem solving skills at different levels in various college programs, and student performance on various tests. These tests include the SAT (both verbal and math), the MARS-R math anxiety scales, and the General Expectancy of Success Scale-Revised. The MSI is currently being used as an integral component of current research dealing with the development of training and education programs to increase metacognitive skills.

Code-switching has become a prevalent phenomenon across many communities. It poses a challenge to NLP researchers, mainly due to the lack of available data needed for training and testing applications. In this paper, we introduce a new resource: a corpus of Egyptian-Arabic code-switch speech data that is fully tokenized, lemmatized and annotated for part-of-speech tags. Beside the corpus itself, we provide annotation guidelines to address the unique challenges of annotating code-switch data. Another challenge that we address is the fact that Egyptian Arabic orthography and grammar are not standardized. © European language Resources Association (ELRA), licensed under CC-BY-NC

Orthogonal Defect Classification (ODC), the most influential framework for software defect classification and analysis, provides valuable in-process feedback to system development and maintenance. Conducting ODC classification on existing organizational defect reports is human intensive and requires experts' knowledge of both ODC and system domains. This paper presents AutoODC, an approach and tool for automating ODC classification by casting it as a supervised text classification problem. Rather than merely apply the standard machine learning framework to this task, we seek to acquire a better ODC classification system by integrating experts' ODC experience and domain knowledge into the learning process via proposing a novel Relevance Annotation Framework. We evaluated AutoODC on an industrial defect report from the social network domain. AutoODC is a promising approach: not only does it leverage minimal human effort beyond the human annotations typically required by standard machine learning approaches, but it achieves an overall accuracy of 80.2% when using manual classifications as a basis of comparison. © 2011 IEEE.

Quantitative Ethnography (QE) is an emerging methodological approach that combines ethnographic and statistical tools to analyze both Big Data and smaller data to study human behavior and interactions. This paper presents a methodological scoping review of 60 studies employing QE approaches with an intention to characterize and establish where the boundaries of QE might and should be in order to establish the identity of the field. The key finding is that QE researchers have enough commonality in their approach to the analysis of human behavior with a strong focus on grounded analysis, the validity of codes and consistency between quantitative models and qualitative analysis. Nonetheless, in order to reach a larger audience, the QE community should attend to a number of conceptual and methodological issues (e.g. interpretability). We believe that the strength of work from individual researchers reported in this review and initiatives such as the recently established International Society for Quantitative Ethnography (ISQE) can present a powerful force to shape the identity of the QE community. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The aim of this agent is to customize and adapt the user's entire experience with the interface according to individual needs. The agent was built in such a way that those who are not familiar with computers can rely on the tool in such a way that understandability, learnability and operability of the tool become easy.
