This technical abstract makes a specialty of an Iota-based strategy to enhance the performance of livestock monitoring and management. The proposed answer involves the usage of wireless sensors and mobile gadgets to gather records regarding the environment and the health of the animals, which are then processed and transmitted to the cloud for similar analysis. The evaluation from the cloud can then be used to detect modifications in the livestock's health or surroundings, trigger indicators, and inform endorsed moves. This solution reduces the time requirements for facts collection and evaluation and consequently decreases the ability for diseases to occur or unfold many of the farm animals. Traditional password-based authentication methods confront several issues such as security weaknesses, user inconvenience, and susceptibility to various attacks, e.g. phishing. These issues are solved with newly created industry standards such as Web Authentication, CTAP (Client to Authenticator Protocol), FIDO (Fast Identity Online), and W3C guidelines that deliver reliable and interoperable authentication solutions. This research explores how the FIDO, Web Authentication, CTAP, and W3C standards can be blended to revolutionize authentication practices. The proposed method should increase the security and usability of the authentication process without requiring passwords. Our technology facilitates this by establishing secure connections over Bluetooth, offering seamless UX - between a mobile device (in your pocket) and single desktop while maintaining the strongest security postures through structured authentication experiences. © 2024 IEEE.

Machine-to-machine (M2M) communication plays a fundamental role in autonomous IoT (Internet of Things)-based infrastructure, a vital part of the fourth industrial revolution. Machine-type communication devices(MTCDs) regularly share extensive data without human intervention while making all types of decisions. Thesedecisions may involve controlling sensitive ventilation systems maintaining uniform temperature, live heartbeatmonitoring, and several different alert systems. Many of these devices simultaneously share data to form anautomated system. The data shared between machine-type communication devices (MTCDs) is prone to risk dueto limited computational power, internal memory, and energy capacity. Therefore, securing the data and devicesbecomes challenging due to factors such as dynamic operational environments, remoteness, harsh conditions,and areas where human physical access is difficult. One of the crucial parts of securing MTCDs and data isauthentication, where each devicemust be verified before data transmission. SeveralM2Mauthentication schemeshave been proposed in the literature, however, the literature lacks a comprehensive overview of current M2Mauthentication techniques and the challenges associated with them. To utilize a suitable authentication schemefor specific scenarios, it is important to understand the challenges associated with it. Therefore, this article fillsthis gap by reviewing the state-of-the-art research on authentication schemes in MTCDs specifically concerningapplication categories, security provisions, and performance efficiency.

Deep neural networks have succeeded in learning balanced and imbalanced data in the field of pneumonia diagnosis. However, both require separate model designs in their respective domains. The pneumonia recognition methods have poor transfer performance between the two types of image distribution data. This paper proposes BeFormer, which focuses on sample relationships. BeFormer introduces two stages, feature extraction and establishing sample relationships, to solve the problem. Specifically, in the feature extraction stage, a new backbone network called PANet based on Multi-Scale Frequency Domain Attention (FPSA) is proposed. In establishing sample relationships, Deformable Transformer is used in parallel to model the relationships between partial regions of interest among the same and different samples in the pneumonia dataset. These two modules are connected in series to form BeFormer. Without making any changes to the model, this paper conducted experiments using BeFormer on both balanced and imbalanced pneumonia datasets. As compared to traditional pneumonia recognition models, the proposed method achieved significant improvements in the two different data distributions, demonstrating outstanding transfer performance. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.
