Morlet wavelet transformation based deep similarity structured neural learning for image quality assessment

Quality assessment is a key problem to be resolved in image processing. Few research works have been designed to analyze the quality of images using different techniques. However, the accuracy involved during the process of image quality assessment was not sufficient. A novel method Morlet Wavelet Transformation Based Deep Similarity Structured Neural Learning (MWT-DSSNL) is proposed to enhance the performance of image quality assessment with minimal peak signal-to-noise ratio. The MWT-DSSNL Method is based on artificial neural networks with representation learning. The MWT-DSSNL Method initially gets the number of images from a given dataset as input. The MWT-DSSNL Method uses multiple layers to extract higher-level features from the input images. The MWT-DSSNL Method is a Feed-Forward network where each layer employs the output from the previous layer as input. The MWT-DSSNL Method is designed based on a biological neural network of the human brain. Contrary to the existing method, the MWT-DSSNL Method uses multiple hidden layers and Morlet wavelet transformation to deeply analyze input images and thereby extract features such as luminance, contrast, and structure with a minimal amount of time consumption. By considering the discovered features, finally MWT-DSSNL Method determines structural similarity and thereby exactly identifies the quality of input images with a lower time. From that, the MWT-DSSNL Method achieves enhanced image quality assessment performance when compared to existing works. The simulation of the MWT-DSSNL Method is conducted on factors such as PSNR, average processing time, quality detection accuracy, and false positive rate with different numbers of input images. The simulation result depicts that the MWT-DSSNL method increases the accuracy and also minimizes the time of image quality assessment when compared to conventional works. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024

DDSS: Driver decision support system based on the driver behaviour prediction to avoid accidents in intelligent transport system

Accidents caused by drivers who exhibit unusual behavior are putting road safety at ever-greater risk. When one or more vehicle nodes behave in this way, it can put other nodes in danger and result in potentially catastrophic accidents. In order to anticipate and handle unusual driving behavior in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), this research presents a unique Driver Decision Support System (DDSS). A reliable driving behavior prediction system is used by the suggested DDSS to categorize drivers as displaying normal or abnormal behavior. In order to prevent accidents in ITS scenarios, the system reliably detects anomalous driving patterns and advises nearby vehicles to change lanes or alter speed. The driver behavior prediction algorithm efficiently groups drivers into behavior categories using the K-Means clustering method. In order to evaluate the algorithm's efficacy, a comparative analysis is conducted by comparing its outcomes against those of Support Vector Machines (SVMs), Decision Trees, K-Nearest Neighbours (KNN), Logistic Regression, and Naïve Bayes. The integration of the Driver Decision Support System into the Intelligent Transportation System infrastructure serves to augment endeavours in accident prevention. Monitoring and analysis of driver behavior enable timely interventions, promoting safer driving practices and reducing accident risks. This research helps to create a more effective transportation system by reducing the number of accidents brought on by reckless driving. Because of its novel method to anticipating and controlling driver behavior, the proposed DDSS has promise for improving road safety and preventing accidents. The efficacy and the dependability of the driver behavior prediction algorithm are confirmed by the experimental assessment. © 2023

The diagnosis of Ovarian Tumor (OT) remains a significant challenge as there is presently no practical non-invasive technique to determine true benign or malignant lesions before treatment. This study proposes a unique Deformable Dual Graph Aggregation Transformer Convolutional Network (DeDGATCNet) with Spider Wasp Optimizer (SWO) for the classification of ovarian tumors acquired from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In contrast to traditional deep learning models, DeDGATCNet + SWO directly integrates bending graph-based forming transformer convolutional learning and improves representation for better classification. The SWO is combined to optimize the parameters of the network, thereby improving its performance. The procedures include pre-processing the MRI data from the study of ovarian tumor TCGA-OV datasets with an Adaptive Bilateral Texture Filter (ABTF) for removing artifacts and normalization of intensity, accompanied by a segment using a Masked-Attention Mask Transformer (MAMT). Feature extraction is achieved through a One-Dimensional Quaternion Discrete Fourier Transform (1D-QDFT), which captures features from both the spatial and frequency domains. DeDGATCNet + SWO performance is way ahead and sets a new accuracy record of 99.9% for state-of-the-art models. This research introduces a new type of hybridization between deformable graph transformers, quaternion-based spectral analysis, and nature-inspired optimization techniques, setting non-invasive OT at a new height for classification and improving early diagnosis. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Poor and rich squirrel algorithm-based Deep Maxout network for credit card fraud detection

This paper proposes a Poor and Rich Squirrel Algorithm (PRSA)-based Deep Maxout network to find fraud data transactions in the credit card system. Initially, input transaction data is passed to the data transformation phase, transforming data using Yeo-Johnson (YJ) transformation. Then, the feature selection procedure is done by the Fisher score for creating the unique and significant features. Next, based on the selected textures, the data augmentation mechanism is done using the oversampling model. At last, the fraud detection is carried out by the Deep Maxout network, which is trained by the proposed PRSA optimisation algorithm, derived by integrating Poor and Rich Optimisation (PRO) and Squirrel Search Algorithm (SSA). The integration of parametric features of the PRSA algorithm effectively trained the classifier to update weights to generate the best solution by considering fitness measures. The proposed method achieved the best accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity measures of 0.96, 0.95 and 0.94, respectively. Copyright © 2025 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Memory-enhanced text style transfer with dynamic style learning and calibration

Text style transfer aims to rephrase a sentence to match the desired style while retaining the original content. As a controllable text generation task, mainstream approaches use content-independent style embedding as control variables to guide stylistic generation. Nonetheless, stylistic properties are contextsensitive even under the same style. For example, “delicious” and “helpful” convey positive sentiments,although they are more likely to describe food and people, respectively. Therefore, desired style signals must vary with the content. To this end, we propose a memory-enhanced transfer method, which learns fine-grained style representation concerning content to assist transfer. Rather than employing static style embedding or latent variables, our method abstracts linguistic characteristics from training corpora and memorizes subdivided content with the corresponding style representations. The style signal is dynamically retrieved from memory using the content as a query, providing a more expressive and flexible latent style space. To address the imbalance between quantity and quality in different content, we further introduce a calibration method to augment memory construction by modeling the relationship between candidate *** results obtained using three benchmark datasets confirm the superior performance of our model compared to competitive approaches. The evaluation metrics and case study also indicate that our model can generate diverse stylistic phrases matching context.

Impact of oxymoron features and deep learning techniques in the detection of sarcastic contents

Even though various features have been investigated in the detection of figurative language, oxymoron features have not been considered in the classification of sarcastic content. The main objective of this work is to present a system that can automatically classify sarcastic phrases in multi-domain data. This multi-domain dataset consisting of 67850 sarcastic and non-sarcastic data is collected from various websites to identify sarcastic or non-sarcastic utterances. Multiple approaches are examined in this work to improve sarcasm identification: 1. A Combination of fasttext embedding, syntactic, semantic, lexical n-gram, and oxymoron features 2. TF-IDF feature weighting scheme 3. Three machine learning algorithms (SVM, Multinomial Naïve Bayes, and Random Forest), three deep learning algorithms (CNN, LSTM, MLP), and one ensemble model (CNN + LSTM) The CNN + LSTM model achieves a Precision of 91.32%, Recall of 92.85%, F-Score of 92.08%, accuracy of 92.01%, and Kappa of 0.84 by combining the fasttext embedding, bigram, syntactic, semantic, and oxymoron features with TF-IDF method. These experimental results show CNN + LSTM with a combination of all features outperforms the other algorithms in classifying the sarcasm in both datasets. The sarcasm classification performance of our dataset and another sarcasm news dataset was compared while applying the above model. © 2024 - IOS Press. All rights reserved.

An improved multi-scale convolutional neural network with gated recurrent neural network model for protein secondary structure prediction

Protein structure prediction is one of the main research areas in the field of Bio-informatics. The importance of proteins in drug design attracts researchers for finding the accurate tertiary structure of the protein which is dependent on its secondary structure. In this paper, we focus on improving the accuracy of protein secondary structure prediction. To do so, a Multi-scale convolutional neural network with a Gated recurrent neural network (MCNN-GRNN) is proposed. The novel amino acid encoding method along with layered convolutional neural network and Gated recurrent neural network blocks helps to retrieve local and global relationships between features, which in turn effectively classify the input protein sequence into 3 and 8 states. We have evaluated our algorithm on CullPDB, CB513, PDB25, CASP10, CASP11, CASP12, CASP13, and CASP14 datasets. We have compared our algorithm with different state-of-the-art algorithms like DCNN-SS, DCRNN, MUFOLD-SS, DLBLS_SS, and CGAN-PSSP. The Q3 accuracy of the proposed algorithm is 82–87% and Q8 accuracy is 69–77% on different datasets. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

Drug-Target Interactions Prediction Based on Signed Heterogeneous Graph Neural Networks

Drug-target interactions(DTIs) prediction plays an important role in the process of drug *** computational methods treat it as a binary prediction problem, determining whether there are connections between drugs and targets while ignoring relational types information. Considering the positive or negative effects of DTIs will facilitate the study on comprehensive mechanisms of multiple drugs on a common target, in this work, we model DTIs on signed heterogeneous networks, through categorizing interaction patterns of DTIs and additionally extracting interactions within drug pairs and target protein pairs. We propose signed heterogeneous graph neural networks(SHGNNs), further put forward an end-to-end framework for signed DTIs prediction, called SHGNN-DTI,which not only adapts to signed bipartite networks, but also could naturally incorporate auxiliary information from drug-drug interactions(DDIs) and protein-protein interactions(PPIs). For the framework, we solve the message passing and aggregation problem on signed DTI networks, and consider different training modes on the whole networks consisting of DTIs, DDIs and PPIs. Experiments are conducted on two datasets extracted from Drug Bank and related databases, under different settings of initial inputs, embedding dimensions and training modes. The prediction results show excellent performance in terms of metric indicators, and the feasibility is further verified by the case study with two drugs on breast cancer.

As modern communication technology advances apace,the digital communication signals identification plays an important role in cognitive radio networks,the communication monitoring and management *** has become a promising solution to this problem due to its powerful modeling capability,which has become a consensus in academia and ***,because of the data-dependence and inexplicability of AI models and the openness of electromagnetic space,the physical layer digital communication signals identification model is threatened by adversarial *** examples pose a common threat to AI models,where well-designed and slight perturbations added to input data can cause wrong ***,the security of AI models for the digital communication signals identification is the premise of its efficient and credible *** this paper,we first launch adversarial attacks on the end-to-end AI model for automatic modulation classifi-cation,and then we explain and present three defense mechanisms based on the adversarial *** we present more detailed adversarial indicators to evaluate attack and defense ***,a demonstration verification system is developed to show that the adversarial attack is a real threat to the digital communication signals identification model,which should be paid more attention in future research.

Preemptive Min Max Optimal Cost Based Scheduling for Improving the Load Balancing in Virtualized Cloud Environment

Load balancing and scheduling are essential components of cloud computing that aim to optimize resource allocation and utilization. In a cloud environment, multiple virtual machines and applications compete for shared resources, and efficient load balancing and scheduling mechanisms are crucial for ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization. The prior methodologies attains higher utilization to allocate task due to makspan problem leads more deadlock occurrence and request failures with higher energy consideration. Furthermore, the paper examines the challenges and considerations in load balancing and scheduling, such as dynamic workload variations, heterogeneity of resources, and QoS requirements. To handle this issues, to propose an Efficient Load Balancing Based Predictive Priority-based Preemptive Min max priority Load balancer (PMin-Max LB) to improve the service optimality in Decentralized cloud server. Initially the user request accessibility and task progress is evaluated through Service level Workload Impact score (SLWIS). Then introducing Workload Scaling Job vector estimation is carried by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). By evaluating the Makespan Instance Scaling Changeover Virtualization (MISCV) task weights are assigned to virtual machine by applying Preemptive Min max priority Load balancer (PMin-Max LB) to reduce the workload to improve the performance. The proposed system improves the impact of load balancing and scheduling on cloud performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Finally proposed system attains the potential advancements in load balancing and scheduling techniques improves the computing approach in virtualization process to reduce the workload burned to optimize the heterogeneity and Quality of service. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
