Brain signal analysis from electroencephalogram(EEG)recordings is the gold standard for diagnosing various neural disorders especially epileptic *** signals are highly chaotic compared to normal brain signals and thus can be identified from EEG *** the current seizure detection and classification landscape,most models primarily focus on binary classification—distinguishing between seizure and non-seizure *** effective for basic detection,these models fail to address the nuanced stages of seizures and the intervals between *** identification of per-seizure or interictal stages and the timing between seizures is crucial for an effective seizure alert *** granularity is essential for improving patient-specific interventions and developing proactive seizure management *** study addresses this gap by proposing a novel AI-based approach for seizure stage classification using a Deep Convolutional Neural Network(DCNN).The developed model goes beyond traditional binary classification by categorizing EEG recordings into three distinct classes,thus providing a more detailed analysis of seizure *** enhance the model’s performance,we have optimized the DCNN using two advanced techniques:the Stochastic Gradient Algorithm(SGA)and the evolutionary Genetic Algorithm(GA).These optimization strategies are designed to fine-tune the model’s accuracy and ***,k-fold cross-validation ensures the model’s reliability and generalizability across different data *** and validated on the Bonn EEG data sets,the proposed optimized DCNN model achieved a test accuracy of 93.2%,demonstrating its ability to accurately classify EEG *** summary,the key advancement of the present research lies in addressing the limitations of existing models by providing a more detailed seizure classification system,thus potentially enhancing the effectiveness of real-time seizure prediction and management systems in clinic

Modernization and intense industrialization have led to a substantial improvement in people’s quality of life. However, the aspiration for achieving an improved quality of life results in environmental contamination. A primary consequence of environmental degradation is air pollution, resulting from rising levels of poisonous chemicals in the atmosphere, which may induce detrimental health conditions in humans. It is harmful to both humans and agriculture. Given that the effects of air pollution on plants may not be readily apparent, it is important to analyse the necessary data and compute the outcomes. Farmers prioritise on pests and plant diseases, frequently neglecting the detrimental impacts of air pollution. Some plant species can withstand high amounts of pollution from suspended particulate matter and accumulated gases, while others are more susceptible to harm. Therefore, plants’ reaction to air pollution is influenced by the kind of harmful compounds, their levels, and the plant’s susceptibility to them. The LSTM +CNN Proposed Ensemble method may be used to analyse the impact of air pollution on agriculture by examining trends in crop production over time and predicting which crop is more resistant based on the pollution data. The initiative created for this aim may assist farmers in determining the most suitable crop to cultivate in their fields to minimize the impact of air pollution on agricultural yield. The findings show deep learning algorithms correctly predict hourly pollutant concentrations such as carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, ground-level ozone, and particulate matter 2.5, along with the hourly Air Quality Index (AQI) for California. A proposed model used test RMSE values as a measure to evaluate prediction performance, achieving the best possible results. © 2025 SCPE.

A semi-supervised deep neuro-fuzzy iterative learning system for automatic segmentation of hippocampus brain MRI

The hippocampus is a small, yet intricate seahorse-shaped tiny structure located deep within the brain’s medial temporal lobe. It is a crucial component of the limbic system, which is responsible for regulating emotions, memory, and spatial navigation. This research focuses on automatic hippocampus segmentation from Magnetic Resonance (MR) images of a human head with high accuracy and fewer false positive and false negative rates. This segmentation technique is significantly faster than the manual segmentation methods used in clinics. Unlike the existing approaches such as UNet and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), the proposed algorithm generates an image that is similar to a real image by learning the distribution much more quickly by the semi-supervised iterative learning algorithm of the Deep Neuro-Fuzzy (DNF) technique. To assess its effectiveness, the proposed segmentation technique was evaluated on a large dataset of 18,900 images from Kaggle, and the results were compared with those of existing methods. Based on the analysis of results reported in the experimental section, the proposed scheme in the Semi-Supervised Deep Neuro-Fuzzy Iterative Learning System (SS-DNFIL) achieved a 0.97 Dice coefficient, a 0.93 Jaccard coefficient, a 0.95 sensitivity (true positive rate), a 0.97 specificity (true negative rate), a false positive value of 0.09 and a 0.08 false negative value when compared to existing approaches. Thus, the proposed segmentation techniques outperform the existing techniques and produce the desired result so that an accurate diagnosis is made at the earliest stage to save human lives and to increase their life span. © 2024 the Author(s),

In the context of security systems,adequate signal coverage is paramount for the communication between security personnel and the accurate positioning of *** studies focus on optimizing base station deployment under the assumption of static obstacles,aiming to maximize the perception coverage of wireless RF(Radio Frequency)signals and reduce positioning blind ***,in practical security systems,obstacles are subject to change,necessitating the consideration of base station deployment in dynamic ***,research in this area still needs to be *** paper proposes a Dynamic Indoor Environment Beacon Deployment Algorithm(DIE-BDA)to address this *** algorithm considers the dynamic alterations in obstacle locations within the designated *** determines the requisite number of base stations,the requisite time,and the area’s practical and overall signal coverage *** experimental results demonstrate that the algorithm can calculate the deployment strategy in 0.12 s following a change in obstacle *** results show that the algorithm in this paper requires 0.12 s to compute the deployment strategy after the positions of obstacles *** 13 base stations,it achieves an effective coverage rate of 93.5%and an overall coverage rate of 97.75%.The algorithm can rapidly compute a revised deployment strategy in response to changes in obstacle positions within security systems,thereby ensuring the efficacy of signal coverage.

This study focuses on the creation of a Neura Smart Book Reader that can help people who have visual impairments, especially those who are blind or have low vision and do not know Braille. The project uses IoT technology, which includes hardware, infrastructure, and services within the Internet of Things framework. The project primarily uses the energy-efficient Raspberry Pi device, which has machine-learning capabilities, making it adaptable. The Raspberry Pi computer is small and portable and operates on minimal power, showcasing advanced computing and Machine Learning algorithms. The system has a camera for capturing book pages, and the software performs Optical Character Recognition (OCR), combined with Machine Learning-driven character recognition. This improves the system's proficiency with each use. Once the image is recognized, the Neura Smart Book Reader converts it into audible text, allowing users to listen without tactile interaction. This proves how Machine Learning can improve accessibility. The device also offers online text-to-voice conversion via WiFi and 4G services and uses Machine Learning-based algorithms for enhanced linguistic articulation. This ensures a seamless reading experience for users across digital and hardcopy books. This amalgamation of IoT, Raspberry Pi, and Machine Learning technologies highlights the latest accessible reading solutions for visually impaired individuals,proving how Machine Learning can improve accessibility technology. © 2023 IEEE.

Healthcare needs better diagnosis and disease analysis methods to simplify the *** address these concerns, a novel approach called Integrated Blockchain Strategy (IBS) has been developed, combining various cutting-edge technologies, including Blockchain, and Cloud-based Data *** aims to enhance healthcare disease prediction and secure data management. It leverages the logical Blockchain and secured cipher strategy, with a focus on the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm for data security. A unique aspect of this approach is the Attribute-Based Secret Key Generation Logic (ASKGL), which modifies the key generation process by incorporating user authorization attributes and concatenating them with a random key to create a new cipher key. By integrating these elements, the proposed approach ensures data security on the server end and facilitates disease prediction analysis with improved accuracy. Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a vital role in handling complex healthcare-assisted data management tasks, simplifying the overall process. The result provides compelling evidence to support the efficiency of the proposed approach. It demonstrates reduced time consumption constraints, enhanced prediction accuracy, and other relevant benefits. The recent advances in the semiconductor nano technologies increase the complexity of very large-scale integration circuits. With the fabrication technology entering the deep Nanoscale era more demand at greater huge complication of integrated chip design arises. The development of eccentric floor plan without over-lapping is the intention of VLSI floor planning. The major objective of VLSI is concerned with floor plan area minimization and wire length optimization. Floor planning is the important step that creates an optimal layout solution for the VLSI circuits. This article attempted to collect the necessary information in reducing the floor plan layout by means of reducing the wire length, white space area with the employment of computer aided metaheuristic algorithms. In order to ease the process of execution the best local search algorithms like a Particle Swarm Optimization and Simulated Annealing algorithms is compared. © 2023 IEEE.
