The broad utilization of interconnectivity and interoperability of processing frameworks have turned into an irreplaceable need to improve our everyday activities. All the while, it opens a way to exploitable weaknesses that work out positively past human control capacity. The weaknesses consider network protection instruments fundamental to accepting correspondence trade. Secure correspondence requires safety efforts to battle the dangers and necessities headways to safety efforts that counter advancing security dangers. So, emerging technologies like Deep Learning/ Machine Learning (DL/ML) come in handy for integration and better prediction. So, in this paper, we depict various deep learning/ML strategies used in detecting the imbalance in network traffic. The document also includes research that has been proposed on the topic of intrusion detection in network traffic over the previous four years (2020-2024) by a variety of research specialists. The main achievements of the security measures are recognized in this review together with their quantitative and qualitative success indicators. Additionally, as a guide for upcoming discoveries, this research study examines the major discoveries and the rationale for the lessons discovered. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have garnered a significant deal of interest for their ability to detect changes in metropolitan areas. One of the uses of change detection in satellite photographs is in the field of urban planning. Other applications include environmental monitoring and remote surveillance. A number of different approaches have been suggested in recent times for the purpose of automatically identifying alterations in the land cover based on GIS photographs. However, due to poor texture, cluttered context, and considerable object scale disparities, the convolutional neural network (CNN) method is only partially successful in capturing the context from geographic information systems (GISs). This is despite the fact that it remains an effective method for detecting change in urban environments. The article presents the construction of a CNN-based change detection model using the utilization of Dung Beetle Optimization (DBO). The DBO algorithm is used to adjust the loss parameter in order to increase the overall performance. The approach that was proposed makes use of the Onera satellite data set and displays an overall accuracy of 97.50% percent. In light of this, it appears that the strategy that is proposed is both very efficient and effective. © 2025 IEEE.

The thyroid gland, a pivotal regulator of essential physiological functions, orchestrates the production and release of thyroid hormones, playing a vital role in metabolism, growth, development, and overall bodily functions. While thyroid nodules are predominantly benign, certain cases may manifest malignancy, leading to thyroid cancer. Despite the generally favorable prognosis, early detection and intervention remain paramount for optimal outcomes. Given the limitations in clinical data, this paper introduces an innovative approach employing a modified XGBoost model that integrates both clinical and molecular properties into a unified predictive model. Utilizing fine-needle aspiration biopsies and gene expression analysis, our model aims to enhance cancer prediction in thyroid nodules. We explore the influence of incorporating high-quality clinical data on the prioritized gene set, employing a nature-inspired method for hyperparameter optimization. The modified XGBoost model emerges as highly recommended for non-parametric feature selection, extraction, and prediction due to its remarkable accuracy. Our proposed model attains an impressive 94.6% accuracy, surpassing other machine learning models such as C5.0 (92.5%), CART (88.7%), CHAID (83.4%), Quest (81.5%), LSVM (77%), and random tree (24.1%). The real-time efficiency of our model is demonstrated in the results section. Experiments showcase the superior performance of combined molecular and clinical data-based prediction models. Emphasis is placed on the importance of scrutinizing the origins of clinical data and maintaining vigilance over variable quality. This study signifies a substantial advancement in thyroid cancer prediction, offering a robust and accurate model that integrates diverse data sources, ultimately contributing to improved patient outcomes. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Parkinson's disease (PD) diagnosis involves the assessment of a variety of motor and non-motor symptoms. To accurately diagnose PD, it is necessary to differentiate its symptoms from those of other conditions. During the diagnosis process, clinicians must consider gait abnormalities as one of the key symptoms. However, relying solely on clinical judgment for the diagnosis of PD may have limitations. In this work, we have proposed a Multikernel SVM (MK-SVM) based Parkinson's severity analysis method. Initially, an adaptive median filter is used to reduce the noise in the gait image. Then, to extract the features, we propose a dual-layer method that employs stacked autoencoders (SAEs) for local feature extraction and residual deep convolution neural networks (RDCNN) for global feature extraction. The hyper-parameters from the RDCNN are optimized using the Enhanced walrus optimization algorithm (EWO). In the final step, we use MK-SVM to classify PD according to severity. This model is evaluated using the GAIT-IT and GAIT-IST datasets. With the help of Python, we evaluated the proposed model in terms of precision, accuracy, recall, specificity, and F-scores, and the model achieved a maximum accuracy of 97.3%. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

During the software development phase, vulnerability detection needs huge interest to make it less vulnerable and secure. Every time, the vulnerable software provokes hackers to make malicious activities and interrupts the software operation which results in millions in financial losses to the software firm. To minimize the losses, there are reliable and effectual vulnerability detection systems developed by security communities aspiring to recognize software vulnerabilities earlier in the development or testing stage. One such system is deep learning which can detect security vulnerabilities in the software. This work develops an optimized deep-learning system for detecting software vulnerabilities. Feature fusion approach is developed using canonical correlation analysis and Deep Residual Network (DRN) so that all the features in the input open-source projects are utilized without negligence. Moreover, an algorithm, AdamW- Rat Swarm Optimizer (AdamW-RSO), is proposed by combining AdamW and RSO, to train the DBN that is adopted to perform vulnerability detection. Finally, the detection performance is examined by utilizing metrics, such as recall, precision, and F-measure on a function-level vulnerable dataset. Machine Learning Based Phishing Attacks Detection Using Multiple Datasets

Nowadays, individuals and organizations are increasingly targeted by phishing attacks, so an accurate phishing detection system is required. Therefore, many phishing detection techniques have been proposed as well as phishing datasets have been collected. In this paper, three datasets have been used to train and test machine learning classifiers. The datasets have been archived by Phish-Tank and UCI Machine Learning Repository. Furthermore, Information Gain algorithm have been used for features reduction and selection purpose. In addition, six machine learning classifiers have been evaluated, namely NaiveBayes, ANN, DecisionStump, KNN, J48 and RandomForest. However, the classifiers have been trained and tested over the three datasets in two stages. The first stage is using all features included in each dataset while the second stage using selected features by IG algorithm. At the first stage RandomForest classifier has shown the best performance over Dataset-1 and Dataset-2, while J48 has shown the best performance over Dataset-3. On the other hand, after features selection, the RandomForest classifier was the superior among the other five classifiers over Dataset-1 and Dataset-2 with accuracy of 98% and 93.66% respectively. While ANN classifier has shown the best performance with accuracy of 88.92% over Dataset-3. Efficient straggler task management in cloud environment using stochastic gradient descent with momentum learning-driven neural networks

In the modern era, large-scale computing systems distribute tasks into smaller units, allowing them to be executed simultaneously, accelerating job completion, and reducing energy usage. However, cloud computing systems face a significant challenge: the Long Tail problem. This problem arises when a small subset of slow-performing tasks impedes the overall progress of parallel job execution, resulting in longer service response times and decreased system efficiency. To reduce task execution time and energy consumption, we propose an efficient straggler task management framework for cloud data centers in this paper. A neural network-based resource predictor is initially developed and tuned with the Stochastic Gradient Descent with Momentum mechanism to analyze and classify heterogeneous tasks into stragglers and non-stragglers. Then, after identifying the straggler tasks, they are further classified into two categories: Resource Hunters and Long-Tail stragglers, based on their specific resource requirements. A task management policy is implemented to achieve parallelism and enhance sustainability in the cloud infrastructure. Considering the task category, this policy effectively schedules and allocates resources among user job requests. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed work, extensive simulations are performed using the Google Cluster Dataset (GCD). The results obtained from these simulations are subsequently compared to state-of-the-art techniques for a comprehensive analysis. The experimental results reveal substantial improvements in various metrics, including power consumption and active servers showing reductions of up to 55.16% and 35%, respectively. Alzheimer's disease is a well-known illness characterized by memory loss and cognitive decline. Since current treatments work best in the early stages, early detection is vital for effective management. The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) plays a key role in diagnosing Alzheimer's by providing detailed images of brain structures. Yakshagana, a traditional theater form from Karnataka, India, features a unique combination of vibrant costumes, dynamic dance movements, and elaborate facial makeup, making character and actor identification a challenging task for automated systems. This research work presents a novel approach to classify Yakshagana characters into two primary categories, Vaishnava and Shaiva, and to identify the actors performing these characters using advanced machine learning techniques. Our research employs a Cyclic Gated Recurrent Neural Network (Cyclic GRNN) for classification and identification tasks. For character category classification, we integrate YOLOv3 and Faster R-CNN models, achieving an accuracy of 92.85% with YOLOv3 and 88.285% with Faster R-CNN. The categorization is specifically focused on distinguishing between Vaishnava and Shaiva characters. Additionally, for actor name identification, we utilize a RESNET-50 model, attaining a high accuracy of 95.60%. The results demonstrate the efficacy of Cyclic GRNN combined with state-of-the-art object detection and image classification models in accurately recognizing and categorizing Yakshagana characters and actors. This research contributes to the preservation and digital documentation of Yakshagana by providing robust tools for automated identification, thereby facilitating cultural heritage studies and enhancing audience engagement with this traditional art form. © 2024 IEEE.

One of the most dangerous problems that people experience globally is lung and colon tumor that has spread rapidly to become a normal medical challenging problem. It is essential to achieve an accurate and preliminary detection in order to minimize the hike of death. The complexity of the task entirely relies on the histopathologists experience. The analysis of the histopathology images of lung and colon cancer is crucial because early and accurate diagnosis of cancer histology is actually needed and since the treatment of cancer is aimed on the kind of histology, genetic profile and stage of the illness. Histologists may even endanger the patient's life. In recent times popularity of deep learning increase and recognized in the diagnosis and treatment of medical imaging. In order to identify lung and colon cancer using histopathological image and more effective augmentation techniques, this research involves studying and modifying the current CNN model. In the past few years, CNN has reported amazing progress in the fields of CT, MRI, and ultrasound. A novel technique that combines the advantages of two imaging modalities, 3D CT scan and histopathological image processing - to produce results that are more accurate and dependable. They are trained on the LC25000 dataset. CNN are the most preferred approach of deep learning algorithm for the advanced detection of lung and colon cancer. The level of accuracy offered by CNN in this regard may help to reduce the frequency and improve evaluation and quality © 2023 IEEE.
