Geoscience knowledge graph(GKG)can organize various geoscience knowledge into a machine understandable and computable semantic network and is an effective way to organize geoscience knowledge and provide knowledge-related *** a result,it has gained significant attention and become a frontier in *** knowledge is derived from many disciplines and has complex spatiotemporal features and relationships of multiple scales,granularities,and ***,establishing a GKG representation model conforming to the characteristics of geoscience knowledge is the basis and premise for the construction and application of ***,existing knowledge graph representation models leverage fixed tuples that are limited in fully representing complex spatiotemporal features and *** address this issue,this paper first systematically analyzes the categorization and spatiotemporal features and relationships of geoscience *** this basis,an adaptive representation model for GKG is proposed by considering the complex spatiotemporal features and *** the constraint of a unified spatiotemporal ontology,this model adopts different tuples to adaptively represent different types of geoscience knowledge according to their spatiotemporal *** model can efficiently represent geoscience knowledge,thereby avoiding the isolation of the spatiotemporal feature representation and improving the accuracy and efficiency of geoscience knowledge *** can further enable the alignment,transformation,computation,and reasoning of spatiotemporal information through a spatiotemporal ontology.

Various techniques have been developed for the identification of different types of requirements like interview, questionnaire, group elicitation techniques, attributed goal-oriented requirements analysis, fuzzy based goal-oriented requirements analysis method, non-functional requirements framework, etc. Based on the critical analysis of requirements elicitation methods, we found that single elicitation technique is not suitable to understand the need of the stakeholders. In real life applications, multiple elicitation techniques are required to elicit and select the requirements of an information system because each technique has its strength and limitations. Therefore, to address this issue, this paper presents a mathematical model for the selection of requirements elicitation techniques so that complete set of requirements along with its priority can be identified before the development of an information system. The institute examination system is considered to show the applicability of the proposed mathematical model. © 2024 IEEE.

Federated feature selection (FFS) is a promising field for selecting informative features while preserving data privacy in federated learning (FL) settings. Existing FFS methods focus on capturing the correlations between features and labels. They struggle to achieve satisfactory performance in the face of data distribution heterogeneity among FL clients, and cannot address the out-of-distribution (OOD) problem that arises when a significant portion of clients do not actively participate in FL training. To address these limitations, we propose Federated Causally Invariant Feature Learning (FedCIFL), a novel approach for learning causally invariant features in a privacy-preserving manner. We design a sample reweighting strategy to eliminate spurious correlations introduced by selection bias and iteratively estimate the federated causal effect between each feature and the labels (with the remaining features initially treated as confounders). By iteratively refining the confounding feature set to identify the true confounders, FedCIFL mitigates the impact of limited local data on the accuracy of federated causal effect estimation. Theoretical analysis proves the correctness of FedCIFL under reasonable assumptions. Extensive experiments on synthetic and real-world datasets demonstrate the superiority of FedCIFL against eight state-of-the-art baselines, beating the best-performing approach by 3.19%, 9.07% and 2.65% in terms of average test Accuracy, RMSE and F1 score, respectively. DeepProtein: Deep Learning Library and Benchmark for Protein Sequence Learning

Deep learning has deeply influenced protein science, enabling breakthroughs in predicting protein properties, higher-order structures, and molecular interactions. This paper introduces DeepProtein, a comprehensive and user-friendly deep learning library tailored for protein-related tasks. It enables researchers to seamlessly address protein data with cutting-edge deep learning models. To assess model performance, we establish a benchmark evaluating different deep learning architectures across multiple protein-related tasks, including protein function prediction, subcellular localization prediction, protein-protein interaction prediction, and protein structure prediction. Furthermore, we introduce DeepProt-T5, a series of fine-tuned Prot-T5-based models that achieve state-of-the-art performance on four benchmark tasks, while demonstrating competitive results on six of others. Comprehensive documentation and tutorials are available which could ensure accessibility and support reproducibility. Kubernetes has become the basic platform for building cloud native applications. However, existing horizontal scaling methods based on Kubernetes have problems with resource redundancy. Furthermore, the combined horizontal and vertical scaling based on Kubernetes takes a long time. Regarding the issue above, first, we describe the execution processes of three scaling techniques and compare them in different dimensions;second, we construct a formal elastic scaling model for expansion scenarios, with the goal of minimizing the total cost;and third, we introduce a heuristic expansion algorithm after balancing resource redundancy and execution time as the heuristic information. The experiment results show that the elastic scaling algorithm proposed in this paper achieves better performance than other algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.

With the extensive penetration of distributed renewable energy and self-interested prosumers,the emerging power market tends to enable user autonomy by bottom-up control and distributed *** paper is devoted to solving the specific problems of distributed energy management and autonomous bidding and peer-to-peer(P2P)energy sharing among prosumers.A novel cloud-edge-based We-Market is presented,where the prosumers,as edge nodes with independent control,balance the electricity cost and thermal comfort by formulating a dynamic household energy management system(HEMS).Meanwhile,the autonomous bidding is initiated by prosumers via the modified Stone-Geary utility *** the cloud center,a distributed convergence bidding(CB)algorithm based on consistency criterion is developed,which promotes faster and fairer bidding through the interactive iteration with the edge ***,the proposed scheme is built on top of the commercial cloud platform with sufficiently secure and scalable computing *** results show the effectiveness and practicability of the proposed We-Market,which achieves 15%cost reduction with shorter running *** analysis indicates better scalability,which is more suitable for largerscale We-Market implementation.

With the development of next-generation sequencing technology, massive genomic data has been generated, primarily encouraging research on cancer driver genes. Many bioinformatics methods were proposed to identify driver genes. However, the results of driver gene identification a mong these methods show considerable differences. It is still challenging to obtain a comprehensive catalog of cancer drivers. Although current methods have greatly promoted the development of driver genes, few methods can integrate the identification results of existing methods. To solve such problems in cancer driver genes research, we proposed a cascade forest model to discover cancer driver genes(CFC) that can integrate multi-omics data and annotation scores from different cancer driver gene identification algorithms. The proposed method got precise results for 33 cancer types and Pan-cancer. The CFC framework identified 275 driver genes in Pan-cancer, of which 179 were included in the Gold standard. The identified genes were enriched i n t he principal cancer signaling pathways. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, we investigate the issues of real-time sensor scheduling and state estimator design within large-scale sensor network systems. Specifically, data redundancy sometimes occurs in large-scale sensor arrays due to the excessive proximity of sensing units in the spatial domain, leading to high similarity in their measurement data. Currently, it is difficult to account for such redundancy in sensor scheduling algorithms found in existing literature, where the optimal subset of sensors is generally selected by optimizing objective functions formulated from certain performance criteria. To tackle this problem, we introduce an event-based sensor scheduling strategy, the triggering condition of which is designed founded on the similarity of sensor data, so as to identify the most informative subset of sensors for state estimation. To evaluate the impact of the sensor scheduling protocol on system observability, we propose a new notion of E(varepsilon)-observability, based on which an observability criterion is derived. In addition, we have designed a set-valued state estimation algorithm, which takes into account the intricate measurement information structure inherent within the sensor selection mechanism. The performance enhancement of the proposed estimator is also investigated. Finally, numerical experiments are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed estimation algorithm and to verify the performance improvement. © 2024 IEEE.

The fast-paced growth of artificial intelligence applications provides unparalleled opportunities to improve the efficiency of various *** as the transportation sector faces many obstacles following the implementation and integration of different vehicular and environmental aspects *** congestion is among the major issues in this regard which demands serious attention due to the rapid growth in the number of vehicles on the *** address this overwhelming problem,in this article,a cloudbased intelligent road traffic congestion prediction model is proposed that is empowered with a hybrid Neuro-Fuzzy *** aim of the study is to reduce the delay in the queues,the vehicles experience at different road junctions across the *** proposed model also intended to help the automated traffic control systems by minimizing the congestion particularly in a smart city environment where observational data is obtained from various implanted Internet of Things(IoT)sensors across the *** due preprocessing over the cloud server,the proposed approach makes use of this data by incorporating the neuro-fuzzy ***,it possesses a high level of accuracy by means of intelligent decision making with minimum error *** results reveal the accuracy of the proposed model as 98.72%during the validation phase in contrast to the highest accuracies achieved by state-of-the-art techniques in the literature such as 90.6%,95.84%,97.56%and 98.03%,*** far as the training phase analysis is concerned,the proposed scheme exhibits 99.214% accuracy. The proposed prediction modelis a potential contribution towards smart cities environment.
