Storyboards comprising key illustrations and images help filmmakers to outline ideas,key moments,and story events when filming *** by this,we introduce the first contextual benchmark dataset Script-to-Storyboard(Sc2St)composed of storyboards to explicitly express story structures in the movie domain,and propose the contextual retrieval task to facilitate movie story *** Sc2St dataset contains fine-grained and diverse texts,annotated semantic keyframes,and coherent storylines in storyboards,unlike existing movie *** contextual retrieval task takes as input a multi-sentence movie script summary with keyframe history and aims to retrieve a future keyframe described by a corresponding sentence to form the *** to classic text-based visual retrieval tasks,this requires capturing the context from the description(script)and keyframe *** benchmark existing text-based visual retrieval methods on the new dataset and propose a recurrent-based framework with three variants for effective context *** experiments demonstrate that our methods compare favourably to existing methods;ablation studies validate the effectiveness of the proposed context encoding approaches.

Unmanned and aerial systems as interactors among different system components for communications,have opened up great opportunities for truth data discovery in Mobile Crowd Sensing(MCS)which has not been properly solved in the *** this paper,an Unmanned Aerial Vehicles-supported Intelligent Truth Discovery(UAV-ITD)scheme is proposed to obtain truth data at low-cost communications for *** main innovations of the UAV-ITD scheme are as follows:(1)UAV-ITD scheme takes the first step in employing UAV joint Deep Matrix Factorization(DMF)to discover truth data based on the trust mechanism for an Information Elicitation Without Verification(IEWV)problem in MCS.(2)This paper introduces a truth data discovery scheme for the first time that only needs to collect a part of n data samples to infer the data of the entire network with high accuracy,which saves more communication costs than most previous data collection schemes,where they collect n or kn data ***,we conducted extensive experiments to evaluate the UAV-ITD *** results show that compared with previous schemes,our scheme can reduce estimated truth error by 52.25%–96.09%,increase the accuracy of workers’trust evaluation by 0.68–61.82 times,and save recruitment costs by 24.08%–54.15%in truth data discovery.

Brain-inspired computing is a new technology that draws on the principles of brain science and is oriented to the efficient development of artificial general intelligence(AGI),and a brain-inspired computing system is a hierarchical system composed of neuromorphic chips,basic software and hardware,and algorithms/applications that embody this *** the system is developing rapidly,it faces various challenges and opportunities brought by interdisciplinary research,including the issue of software and hardware *** paper analyzes the status quo of brain-inspired computing *** by some design principle and methodology of general-purpose computers,it is proposed to construct"general-purpose"brain-inspired computing systems.A general-purpose brain-inspired computing system refers to a brain-inspired computing hierarchy constructed based on the design philosophy of decoupling software and hardware,which can flexibly support various brain-inspired computing applications and neuromorphic chips with different ***,this paper introduces our recent work in these aspects,including the ANN(artificial neural network)/SNN(spiking neural network)development tools,the hardware agnostic compilation infrastructure,and the chip micro-archi-tecture with high flexibility of programming and high performance;these studies show that the"general-purpose"system can remarkably improve the efficiency of application development and enhance the productivity of basic software,thereby being conductive to accelerating the advancement of various brain-inspired algorithms and *** believe that this is the key to the collaborative research and development,and the evolution of applications,basic software and chips in this field,and conducive to building a favorable software/hardware ecosystem of brain-inspired computing.
