The unipolar photocurrent in conventional photodiodes(PDs)based on photovoltaic effect limits the output modes and potential versatility of these devices in *** photodiodes with photocurrent switching are emerging as a promising solution for obtaining photoelectric devices with unique and attractive functions,such as optical logic ***,we design an all-solid-state chip-scale ultraviolet(UV)PD based on a hybrid GaN heterojunction with engineered bipolar polarized electric *** introducing the polarization-induced photocurrent switching effect,the photocurrent direction can be switched in response to the wavelength of incident light at 0 V *** particular,the photocurrent direction exhibits negative when the irradiation wavelength is less than 315 nm,but positive when the wavelength is longer than 315 *** device shows a responsivity of up to−6.7 mA/W at 300 nm and 5.3 mA/W at 340 nm,*** particular,three special logic gates in response to different dual UV light inputs are demonstrated via a single bipolar PD,which may be beneficial for future multifunctional UV photonic integrated devices and systems.

Nation’s rapid urbanization growth and economic development, waste generation has significantly increased. An important environmental concern on a global scale is waste management. In a majority of the world’s nations, including India’s metropolitan centers, organic waste management is a major problem. Therefore, it is necessary to create a productive system that will either eliminate or significantly decrease this issue. It will assist us in effectively maintaining a hygienic environment, and natural atmosphere. The implementation of smart cities requires an effective garbage collection system. In the given paper, we propose a smart waste collection and management (SWCM) system centered on the Internet of Things (IoT) architecture. A deep learning (DL) approach for classifying waste is being used. The proposed framework includes the use of smart bins for the collection of garbage, the categorization of that waste into several groups, and the management of smart waste. For this study, data from smart garbage cans were gathered. The data was normalized during preprocessing. The efficacy of the proposed system is assessed and compared with conventional as well as existing recent studies based on performance metrics such as classification accuracy (%) and power consumption (%). The results of the study reveal that the proposed approach is impactful in the smart collection and management of waste. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

The difficulties about user security and privacy have appeared as significant concerns in recent years. The number of cyber-attacks grows at a concerning velocity, hence rendering internet users susceptible to malicious activities perpetrated by hackers. Data mining approaches are employed to extract accurate results from massive and complex databases. Furthermore, the utilization of Blockchain (BC) approaches is increasingly popular in current Internet of Things (IoT) applications as an opportunity to address issues related to privacy and security. Lots of studies have been performed on algorithms for data mining and techniques concerning blockchain. Time series data is a commonly used form of data. Time Series Classification (TSC) refers to the creation of predictive models that generate a target variable or label based on linear or sequential data inputs across a considerable duration. The possible results may be presented in either ordinal or numerical form. Even so, previous studies have shown major limitations when it comes to handling privacy and security issues that can't be applicable in dynamic instances, as well as the substantial computational cost necessary. Moreover, correctly determining the amount of sensitive parameters required to complete the classification process remains a challenge. We have put forth a comprehensive survey on the classification of blockchain data. In the first phase of our study, we conducted an analysis and categorization of both conventional data classification approaches and contemporary time series data classification techniques. We further discussed limitations and strengths of existing techniques. Finally, we highlight future research problems and directions. © 2024 The Authors.

As technology continues to evolve rapidly, cybersecurity has become a critical global concern. The increasing sophistication of cyber threats poses significant risks to individuals, businesses, and governments. To combat these threats, cybersecurity tools play a crucial role in monitoring, detecting, and mitigating security risks in digital environments. These tools ensure data protection, prevent unauthorized access, and safeguard sensitive information. However, traditional cybersecurity approaches are struggling to keep pace with emerging cyber-attacks. In response, machine learning (ML) has emerged as a powerful solution for enhancing cybersecurity strategies. ML algorithms enable organizations to analyze large datasets, identify anomalies, and predict potential threats with greater accuracy. Wind turbines are an important component of the global strategy for the transition to renewable energy sources and the fight against climate change. Their implementation contributes to sustainable development and to improving the ecological situation of the planet. Detecting and elimination of defects helps reduce the wear of the components and prevent premature failure. This can significantly extend the life of wind turbines, which is economically beneficial for owners and operators. The use of UAVs allows for minimizing the risks for personnel, as inspection and diagnosis of defects can be carried out without the need to lift people to great heights or stay in dangerous areas. This is especially important for turbines located in places of difficult access. The images taken by the UAV contain many extraneous objects and fuzzy data. Fuzzy logic allows you to create models for pattern recognition and object classification in images, taking into account uncertainty and variation in the data. This increases the accuracy and reliability of pattern recognition systems. This article proposes an image processing system to detect wind turbine defects, with a fuzzy system module that selects images from a video stream for further processing. © 2024 IEEE.

We propose a speaker clustering model for textual dialogues, which groups the utterances of a multi-party dialogue without speaker annotations, so that the actual speakers are identical inside each cluster. We find that, without knowing the speakers, the interactions between utterances are still implied in the text, which suggest the relations between speakers. In this work, we model the semantic content of utterance with a pre-trained language model, and the relations between speakers with an utterance-level pairwise matrix. The semantic content representation can be further instructed by cross-corpus dialogue act modeling. The speaker labels are finally generated by spectral clustering. Experiments show that our model outperforms the sequence classification baseline, and benefits from the auxiliary dialogue act classification task. We also discuss the detail of determining the number of speakers (clusters), eliminating the interference caused by semantic similarity, and the impact of utterance distance. © 2022 Proceedings - International Conference on Computational Linguistics, COLING. In the field of automated language processing, distinguishing between Moroccan Arabic (Darija) in multilingual contexts is a major challenge. This study addresses this challenge by exploiting feature selection techniques to improve the accuracy of tongue detection. Using a comprehensive methodology integrating various feature selection methods, including TF-idf, CBOW, Word2Vec for feature extraction, LASSO regression, decision trees for machine learning techniques, and statistical feature selection such as ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and Mutual information, alongside semantic techniques by developing our semantic encoders adapted to Arabic data, we strive to uncover the most important, relevant language features while attenuating the noise. As a result, we have obtained robust results by applying the famous XGBOOST, with conventional extraction methods and SVD as a dimensional reduction method with a very reasonable execution time. Our experimental results highlight the effectiveness of feature selection techniques to reinforce supervised learning tasks. This research not only advances the field of natural language processing but also highlights the central role of feature selection in deciphering complex linguistic landscapes. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.
