Recently, researches based on eye-tracking have more often appeared on the field of cognitive studies, education support systems and virtual reality. Eye-tracking based analysis may be useful in IT, particular in algorithm thinking, program code debugging. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the conditions of Gazepoint GP3 device and OGAMA used to record eye-motion parameters and demonstrate the recording process and steps.

The rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) are catalyzing transformative changes in atomic modeling, simulation, and design. AI-driven potential energy models have demonstrated the capability to conduct large-scale, long-duration simulations with the accuracy of ab initio electronic structure methods. However, the model generation process remains a bottleneck for large-scale applications. We propose a shift towards a model-centric ecosystem, wherein a large atomic model (LAM), pre-trained across multiple disciplines, can be efficiently fine-tuned and distilled for various downstream tasks, thereby establishing a new framework for molecular modeling. In this study, we introduce the DPA-2 architecture as a prototype for LAMs. Pre-trained on a diverse array of chemical and materials systems using a multi-task approach, DPA-2 demonstrates superior generalization capabilities across multiple downstream tasks compared to the traditional single-task pre-training and fine-tuning methodologies. We formally extend the processes of design patterns from software engineering into the area of session management and transactional risk management, in an effort to improve the reliability, predictability, and security in identity. This work addresses identity management systems that sustain sessions across extended supply chains of multiple technologies and policies. The design patterns will help promote better practices in the design and development of these session-management and transaction-management systems, and the overview of compensating controls will record common practices in addressing the inconsistencies faced by real-world systems in working across technical and policy domains. An initial design pattern for compensating controls was developed. It addresses purchasing products or services from a web merchant with PCI DSS serving as the backdrop for existing controls and for which compensating controls might be needed. The approach used for this initial design pattern for compensating controls may be used in other areas so that a repository of these documents may be available to various stakeholders to provide more secure and robust systems. Likewise, the holistic approach employed here by incorporating multiple perspectives-business, legal, and technical-provides a useful framework for addressing the organizational realities of deploying and protecting information systems from various threats.

Phagraphene (PhaG) is a quasi-planar 2D structure composed of 5 − 6 − 7 ring sequence. We have investigated the structural and mechanical properties of phagraphene nanotubes (PhaNTs) through fully atomistic reactive molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. For comparison purposes, the results were also contrasted to similar carbon nanotubes (CNTs). Results showed that PhaNTs and CNTs present similar brittle fracture mechanisms. The Young’s modulus values obtained for PhaNTs were smaller than the corresponding ones for CNTs. Both, PhaNTs and CNTs, present equivalent fracture strains ranging between 15%-20%. The fields of music, health, and technology have seen significant interactions in recent years in developing music technology for health care and well-being. In an effort to strengthen the collaboration between the involved disciplines, the workshop “Music, computing, and Health” was held to discuss best practices and state-of-the-art at the intersection of these areas with researchers from music psychology and neuroscience, music therapy, music information retrieval, music technology, medical technology (medtech), and robotics. Following the discussions at the workshop, this article provides an overview of the different methods of the involved disciplines and their potential contributions to developing music technology for health and well-being. Furthermore, the article summarizes the state of the art in music technology that can be applied in various health scenarios and provides a perspective on challenges and opportunities for developing music technology that (1) supports person-centered care and evidence-based treatments, and (2) contributes to developing standardized, large-scale research on music-based interventions in an interdisciplinary manner. The article provides a resource for those seeking to engage in interdisciplinary research using music-based computational methods to develop technology for health care, and aims to inspire future research directions by evaluating the state of the art with respect to the challenges facing each field. © The Author(s) 2021.

In this paper we model virtual buying cooperatives (VBC) with grammars of regulated rewriting and show that, if VBC relevant information is distributed over several successive VBC processes and must, in a later stage, be synchronised and co-ordinated, the formal grammar needs to be very powerful with respect to mode of derivation and thus generative capacity. In particular, we show how to model the supplier phase, invitation phase, and declaration phase of a VBC with random permitting context grammars and the VBC reservation phase with random context grammars under a special kind of leftmost derivation. If we use random permitting context grammars for all processes, we can only model a VBC formation during which information is introduced and processed locally and successively rather than being spread over different VBC processes. © Copyright 2017 by SCITEPRESS - science and Technology Publications, Lda. The purpose of this panel is to discuss the state of the art in digital twin for manufacturing research and practice from the perspective of the simulation community. The panelists come from the US, Europe, and Asia representing academia, industry, and government. This paper begins with a short introduction to digital twins and then each panelist provides preliminary thoughts on concept, definitions, challenges, implementations, relevant standard activities, and future directions. Two panelists also report their digital twin projects and lessons learned. The panelists may have different viewpoints and may not totally agree with each other on some of the arguments, but the intention of the panel is not to unify researchers' thinking, but to list the research questions, initiate a deeper discussion, and try to help researchers in the simulation community with their future study topics on digital twins for manufacturing.
