Data fusion generates fused data by combining multiple sources,resulting in information that is more consistent,accurate,and useful than any individual source and more reliable and consistent than the raw original data,which are often imperfect,inconsistent,complex,and *** data fusion methods like probabilistic fusion,set-based fusion,and evidential belief reasoning fusion methods are computationally complex and require accurate classification and proper handling of raw *** fusion is the process of integrating multiple data *** filtering means examining a dataset to exclude,rearrange,or apportion data according to the *** sensors generate a large amount of data,requiring the development of machine learning(ML)algorithms to overcome the challenges of traditional *** advancement in hardware acceleration and the abundance of data from various sensors have led to the development of machine learning(ML)algorithms,expected to address the limitations of traditional ***,many open issues still exist as machine learning algorithms are used for data *** the literature,nine issues have been identified irrespective of any *** decision-makers should pay attention to these issues as data fusion becomes more applicable and successful.A fuzzy analytical hierarchical process(FAHP)enables us to handle these *** helps to get the weights for each corresponding issue and rank issues based on these calculated *** most significant issue identified is the lack of deep learning models used for data fusion that improve accuracy and learning quality weighted *** least significant one is the cross-domain multimodal data fusion weighted 0.076 because the whole semantic knowledge for multimodal data cannot be captured.

Cancer is a formidable andmultifaceted disease driven by genetic aberrations and metabolic *** 19% of cancer-related deaths worldwide are attributable to lung and colon cancer,which is also the top cause of death *** malignancy has a terrible 5-year survival rate of 19%.Early diagnosis is critical for improving treatment outcomes and survival *** study aims to create a computer-aided diagnosis(CAD)that accurately diagnoses lung disease by classifying histopathological *** uses a publicly accessible dataset that includes 15,000 images of benign,malignant,and squamous cell carcinomas in the *** addition,this research employs multiscale processing to extract relevant image features and conducts a comprehensive comparative analysis using four Convolutional Neural network(CNN)based on pre-trained models such as AlexNet,VGG(Visual Geometry Group)16,ResNet-50,and VGG19,after hyper-tuning these models by optimizing factors such as batch size,learning rate,and *** proposed(CNN+VGG19)model achieves the highest accuracy of 99.04%.This outstanding performance demonstrates the potential of the CAD system in accurately classifying lung cancer histopathological *** study contributes significantly to the creation of a more precise CNN-based model for lung cancer identification,giving researchers and medical professionals in this vital sector a useful tool using advanced deep learning techniques and publicly available datasets.

Ground-Glass Lung Nodules Recognition Based on CatBoost Feature Selection and Stacking Ensemble Learning

Aimed at the issue of high feature dimensionality, excessive data redundancy, and low recognition accuracy of using single classifiers on ground-glass lung nodule recognition, a recognition method based on CatBoost feature selection and Stacking ensemble learning was proposed. First, the method uses a feature selection algorithm to filter important features and remove features with less impact, achieving the effect of data dimensionality reduction. Second, random forests classifier, decision trees, K-nearest neighbor classifier, and light gradient boosting machine were used as base classifiers, and support vector machine was used as meta classifier to fuse and construct the ensemble learning model. This measure increases the accuracy of the classification model while maintaining the diversity of the base classifiers. The experimental results show that the recognition accuracy of the proposed method reaches 94.375%. Compared to the random forest algorithm with the best performance among single classifiers, the accuracy of the proposed method is increased by 1.875%. Compared to the recent deep learning methods (ResNet+GBM+Attention and MVCSNet) on ground-glass pulmonary nodule recognition, the proposed method’s performance is also better or comparative. Experiments show that the proposed model can effectively select features and make recognition on ground-glass pulmonary nodules. © Shanghai Jiao Tong University 2024.

Personality-based and trust-aware products recommendation in social networks

In recent years, with the development of technology, the shopping approach of people has moved towards pervasive online social shopping. As a result, how to create a recommendation algorithm that offers products based on the personal and different needs and tastes of people on social networks is a significant research issue. This article proposes a personality-based and trust-aware probabilistic product recommendation algorithm in social networks. We present a dynamic method for determining how similar people in social networks are. For this purpose, we consider the personality-based features of recommendation attributes of products in social networks. Then, the level of trust of products and types of correlations among the products is considered to create a probabilistic matrix of product recommendation. Moreover, for solving the cold start problem of products, we consider qualitative aspects of products while exploiting personality-based user behavior regarding their purchases. At last, the empirical experiments are conducted to analyze the impact of the algorithm’s different influence factors using the Amazon dataset. Moreover, the results of comprehensive experiments adopted to verify the proposed personalized recommendation algorithm’s effectiveness show that the proposed algorithm has the appropriate effectiveness and the higher accuracy. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.

Fine-Grained Multivariate Time Series Anomaly Detection in IoT

Sensors produce a large amount of multivariate time series data to record the states of Internet of Things(IoT)*** time series timestamp anomaly detection(TSAD)can identify timestamps of attacks and ***,it is necessary to determine which sensor or indicator is abnormal to facilitate a more detailed diagnosis,a process referred to as fine-grained anomaly detection(FGAD).Although further FGAD can be extended based on TSAD methods,existing works do not provide a quantitative evaluation,and the performance is ***,to tackle the FGAD problem,this paper first verifies that the TSAD methods achieve low performance when applied to the FGAD task directly because of the excessive fusion of features and the ignoring of the relationship’s dynamic changes between ***,this paper proposes a mul-tivariate time series fine-grained anomaly detection(MFGAD)*** avoid excessive fusion of features,MFGAD constructs two sub-models to independently identify the abnormal timestamp and abnormal indicator instead of a single model and then combines the two kinds of abnormal results to detect the fine-grained *** on this framework,an algorithm based on Graph Attention Neural network(GAT)and Attention Convolutional Long-Short Term Memory(A-ConvLSTM)is proposed,in which GAT learns temporal features of multiple indicators to detect abnormal timestamps and A-ConvLSTM captures the dynamic relationship between indicators to identify abnormal *** simulations on a real-world dataset demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can achieve a higher F1 score and hit rate than the extension of existing TSAD methods with the benefit of two independent sub-models for timestamp and indicator detection.

Boasting superior flexibility in beam manipulation and a simpler framework than traditional phased arrays,terahertz metasurface-based phased arrays show great promise for 5G-A/6G communication *** with the reflective reconfigurable intelligent surface(reflective RIS),the transmissive RIS(TRIS)offers more feasibility for transceiver multiplexing systems to meet the growing demand for high-performance beam tracking in terahertz communication and radar ***,the terahertz TRIS encounters greater challenges in phase shift,beam efficiency,and complex ***,we propose a sub-terahertz TRIS based on the phase shift via Pancharatnam-Berry(PB)metasurface and self-on-off keying(OOK)modulation via Schottky *** electrically reconfigurable unit cell consists of a column-wise phase resonator and a rectangular *** experimental retrieved equivalent lumped-element circuit model is implemented in joint field-circuit simulations and is validated by experiments.A fabricated prototype demonstrates excellent performance of TRIS with the minimum insertion loss of 2.8 dB for operational states,large bandwidth nearly covering the entire W-band for 1-bit phase shift,deep OOK amplitude modulation of 12 dB,and wide scanning range of±60°with low specular *** further implement an integrated platform combining high-speed beam steering and spatial-light modulation,verifying the point-to-point signal transmissions in different directions using the TRIS *** proposed TRIS with high-performance and cost-effective fabrication makes it a promising solution to terahertz minimalist communication systems,radar,and satellite communication systems.

Improving Speaker Verification Back-End with Graph Neural networks

Currently, research on speaker verification tasks is primarily concentrated on enhancing deep speaker models to extract high-quality speaker embeddings. Nevertheless, this speaker embeddings can be regarded as potential graph structures. Therefore, this paper introduces a graph neural network-based speaker verification back-end approach, treating the speaker embeddings derived from the front-end as graph structures and leveraging graph neural networks to uncover the relationships among embeddings, thereby achieving superior-quality speaker embeddings. In addition, we propose a group updating method to solve the problem of memory overflow when the number of nodes is excessive. Extensive experiments and ablation studies were carried out on the VoxCeleb dataset, and the experimental outcomes validate the effectiveness of our proposed graph neural network speaker back-end in significantly boosting the performance of speaker verification systems. In the process of large-scale industrial production, complex defects of different shapes and sizes can occur in industrial products and their components, and these defects seriously affect the performance of industrial products and their components, and being able to quickly and accurately identify defective industrial products and their components is an important task. Memory-based methods are usually used for anomaly detection, and these methods often rely on pre-trained models for feature extraction, but have high requirements on feature quality. In addition, patch-based methods mainly focus on local differences in feature embedding when detecting anomalies without explicitly exploiting broader contextual information, thus greatly affecting the robustness and accuracy of anomaly detection. Aiming at the above problems and requirements, this paper proposes a Feature Aggregation network for Memory-Based Industrial Anomaly Detection (FANet), which is based on the pre-extraction of anomalous features, attentional attention to key features, information aggregation of multi-level and multi-scale features, and the FANet provides advanced performance in industrial image anomaly detection and localisation by pre-extraction of anomalous features, attentional attention to key features, information aggregation of multi-layered and multi-scale features, and introduction of environmental information in the anomaly score computation to perform industrial anomaly detection tasks, and using core set subsampling to reduce storage requirements. On the MVTec AD, FANet has an image-level AUROC score of 99.1% and a pixel-level AUROC score of 98.2%. Similarly high detection results were achieved on the ViSA dataset, further demonstrating the robustness of FANet. © 2024 IEEE.

The flourish of deep learning frameworks and hardware platforms has been demanding an efficient compiler that can shield the diversity in both software and hardware in order to provide application *** the existing deep learning compilers,TVM is well known for its efficiency in code generation and optimization across diverse hardware *** the meanwhile,the Sunway many-core processor renders itself as a competitive candidate for its attractive computational power in both scientific computing and deep learning *** paper combines the trends in these two ***,we propose swTVM that extends the original TVM to support ahead-of-time compilation for architecture requiring cross-compilation such as *** addition,we leverage the architecture features during the compilation such as core group for massive parallelism,DMA for high bandwidth memory transfer and local device memory for data locality,in order to generate efficient codes for deep learning workloads on *** experiment results show that the codes generated by swTVM achieve 1.79x improvement of inference latency on average compared to the state-of-the-art deep learning framework on Sunway,across eight representative *** work is the first attempt from the compiler perspective to bridge the gap of deep learning and Sunway processor particularly with productivity and efficiency in *** believe this work will encourage more people to embrace the power of deep learning and Sunwaymany-coreprocessor.
