In this paper, we consider partial, feature-oriented digital twins of several virtual museums and formulate an approach to assessing them from the viewpoint of their reliability. Although the formulation specifically concerns the chosen application, it can be extended to any kind of feature-oriented digital twin. The features of a virtual museum that define its scope and focus fit into three broad categories: content, communication and collaboration. Moreover, any virtual museum needs to be risk-informed, that is, seek to support the communication and perception of different types of risks from a variety of threat categories. At the same time, appropriate algorithms should identify and analyze different types of risks for museums’ buildings, visitors, exhibitions, and pieces of art with the help of sensor data, operating rules and standards, in this way supporting stakeholders’ decision making. Using comprehensible quality criteria and their metrics, formal assessment can be carried out with the help of formulated requirements, ground truth data and related standards from the involved professional associations. Additionally, empirical assessment based on user surveys can be conducted during the museum’s lifetime. Aside from various realizations or interactive learning systems, the use cases we base our analysis on are a joint project with the Museo de Arte Contemporâneo (MAC, Santiago de Chile);a digital representation of largely destroyed works by German-Jewish sculptor Leopold Fleischhacker, a joint project initiated by the Salomon Ludwig Steinheim-Institute in Essen, presented onsite at the Düsseldorf Memorial to the Victims of Persecution;and the virtual Khachkar Museum dedicated to endangered Armenian cross stones in cooperation with the American University of Armenia. © 2022 ISRERM Organizers. Air is very beneficial and crucial for every living creature on earth, hence it is very important to protect the air quality in order to avoid diseases. However, due to the increase in population, some human activities have been causing detrimental damage to the air quality. Some people have realized the potential impact of this problem and have done studies on predicting future air pollution. Some implemented machine learning models such as random forest regression, support vector machine, etc, while others have utilized deep learning models in their research.. This study will implement five different models, specifically linear regression, ridge regression, random forest regression, and multilayer perceptron regression. There will be two datasets used in this paper which will be merged and processed. There will be three key evaluation metrics being used in this paper namely root mean squared error, mean absolute error, and r-squared. The results from all of the models have concluded that more optimization and factors are needed in order to boost the final result of this study. © 2024 The Authors.

Emotion Recognition is one field that is taking the world by storm in this current age. Multimodal emotion recognition has shown promising results however, previous studies shows that recognition using speech is a field has not performed that greatly. Previous research used popular methods such as CNN, RNN, and other machine learning methods has been used to achieved good results with the help of other modality, where if speech were to be used alone the results won't be as good. A factor that contributes to the result of the speech modality not performing as well is the fact of the dataset and the way it was processed. Therefore, this research looks into what makes speech one of the lowest performing modalities by preprocessing the dataset using a different method than previous researches as well as using a CNN model paired with a Transformer model. Results achieved from this research showed an improvement when using IEMOCAP by 8.09% and MELD by 1.06%. A comparison results of using the pre-processed data with previous studies model was also done to compare the results. In conclusion, this research has explored a different preprocessing method and deep learning model that has achieved results better than previous works with the same dataset. © 2025 IEEE.

NoSQL database has gained popularity in Big Data and other various applications for its simplicity and flexibility. The non-relational nature of NoSQL database such as MongoDB proves to improve development lifecycles and resources efficiency. However, security challenges arise along with increasing usage of NoSQL database, and NoSQL database is no exception to injection attacks. Machine learning proved to be an efficient method, as much has been researched. However, in the future there may be an increasing complexity of features that may prove costly to the model’s performance. Therefore, this research aims to utilize principal component analysis as dimensionality reduction and deep neural network as the classification method, to improve the security of NoSQL database. The text query is converted to feature vectors then further processed to reduce the input dimension of the deep neural network using PCA. The features used are based on previous research and various sources, and some are added after analyzing the dataset.10-fold cross validation is also applied to ensure that the model does not overfit the data, attempting to reduce bias to the result. The 10-fold cross validation model accuracy result is in average 97.44% with a standard deviation of 1.7%, and the testing results are 97.5% in accuracy,95.65% in precision, 91.67% in recall, and 93.61% in F1 score. Thus, it can be concluded that the usage of PCA on injection feature vectors can reduce complexity of the model. © 2024 IEEE.

One of the key challenges in e-commerce is how to provide relevant and personalized product recommendations to users. To achieve this, data analysis and text processing techniques are essential. This research aims to analyze product descriptions based on purchase history and product labels on e-commerce platforms. The objectives of this study are: Analyzing and clustering product descriptions using clustering techniques such as K-Means Clustering. This helps in understanding the patterns and relationships between the various product descriptions present. Using the results from clustering to develop an effective recommendation engine. This recommendation engine will utilize collaborative filtering techniques, where product recommendations are suggested based on similarities between the user's purchase history and relevant product clusters. By analyzing data and developing a recommendation engine based on product descriptions, it is expected to improve the relevance and accuracy of product recommendations for users. This will not only improve the user's shopping experience but can also increase sales and customer satisfaction on e-commerce platforms. © 2024 IEEE.

Effective cognitive workload management has a major impact on the safety and performance of pilots. Integrating brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) presents an opportunity for real-time workload assessment. Leveraging cognitive workload data from high-fidelity virtual reality (VR) flight simulations allows for dynamic adjustments to training scenarios. While prior studies have predominantly concentrated on EEG spectral power for workload prediction, delving into intra-brain connectivity may yield deeper insights. This study assessed the predictive value of EEG spectral and connectivity features in distinguishing high vs. low workload periods during simulated flight in VR and Desktop conditions. Using an ensemble approach, a stacked classifier was trained to predict workload from the EEG signals of 52 participants. Results showed that the mean accuracy of the model incorporating both spectral and connectivity features improved by 28% compared to the model that solely relied on spectral features. Further research on other connectivity metrics and deep learning models in a large sample of pilots is essential to validate the potential of a real-time workload-prediction BCI. This could contribute to the development of an adaptive training system for safety-critical operational environments. © 2025 IEEE.

The challenge in object-based visual reasoning lies in generating concept representations that are both descriptive and distinct. Achieving this in an unsupervised manner requires human users to understand the model's learned concepts and, if necessary, revise incorrect ones. To address this challenge, we introduce the Neural Concept Binder (NCB), a novel framework for deriving both discrete and continuous concept representations, which we refer to as "concept-slot encodings". NCB employs two types of binding: "soft binding", which leverages the recent SysBinder mechanism to obtain object-factor encodings, and subsequent "hard binding", achieved through hierarchical clustering and retrieval-based inference. This enables obtaining expressive, discrete representations from unlabeled images. Moreover, the structured nature of NCB's concept representations allows for intuitive inspection and the straightforward integration of external knowledge, such as human input or insights from other AI models like GPT-4. Additionally, we demonstrate that incorporating the hard binding mechanism preserves model performance while enabling seamless integration into both neural and symbolic modules for complex reasoning tasks. We validate the effectiveness of NCB through evaluations on our newly introduced CLEVR-Sudoku dataset. Code and data at: project page. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. This study presents a comprehensive approach to IT asset security risk management in physical access control systems, integrating NIST SP 800-116, 800-53, 800-30, ISO 31000, and 27002:2022 standards. Using a mixed-method approach, we conducted interviews, discussion forums, and observations with IT and security professionals in manufacturing and insurance sectors in Indonesia. Our findings reveal seven key factors crucial for physical security of IT assets, including policies, access authorization, and environmental controls. The study proposes a risk assessment model that determines authentication factor levels based on risk severity. Results indicate discrepancies between current practices and recommended security levels, particularly in server rooms and production areas. We provide a set of control recommendations aligned with ISO 27002:2022 to enhance physical security measures. This research contributes to both theory and practice by offering a holistic framework for managing physical security risks in IT environments, particularly relevant for organizations in emerging economies. © 2024 IEEE.

The research was centered on adapting and assessing a new, unique game concept. The game onKeys presents a new approach and poses as an alternative method for improving typing skills. However, despite offering a promising avenue, the game still grapples with certain limitations. Utilizing the MDA Framework, the study seeks to integrate additional game components into onKeys and evaluate its effectiveness in improving typing skills. A paired T-test is used to assess the Pre-Test and Post-Test data. The System Usability Scale gathers subjective feedback about the game design's usability. This study found that the onKeys game has little impact on players' typing speed and accuracy, which may be attributed to a higher average typing speed, short period of playtime or a small sample size. However, upon reviewing the record and survey data, particularly the System Usability Score, it becomes evident that the game design still has potential. Further research can delve deeper into this game concept and design. © 2024 IEEE.
