cognitive Radio Networks(CRNs)have become a successful platform in recent years for a diverse range of future systems,in particularly,industrial internet of things(IIoT)*** order to provide an efficient connection among IIoT devices,CRNs enhance spectrum utilization by using licensed ***,the routing protocol in these networks is considered one of the main problems due to node mobility and time-variant channel ***,the channel selection for routing protocol is indispensable in CRNs to provide an adequate adaptation to the Primary User(PU)activity and create a robust routing *** study aims to construct a robust routing path by minimizing PU interference and routing delay to maximize throughput within the IIoT ***,a generic routing framework from a cross-layer perspective is investigated that intends to share the information resources by exploiting a recently proposed method,namely,Channel Availability ***,a novel cross-layer-oriented routing protocol is proposed by using a time-variant channel estimation *** protocol combines lower layer(Physical layer and Data Link layer)sensing that is derived from the channel estimation ***,it periodically updates and stores the routing table for optimal route ***,in order to achieve higher throughput and lower delay,a new routing metric is *** evaluate the performance of the proposed protocol,network simulations have been conducted and also compared to the widely used routing protocols,as a *** simulation results of different routing scenarios demonstrate that our proposed solution outperforms the existing protocols in terms of the standard network performance metrics involving packet delivery ratio(with an improved margin of around 5–20%approximately)under varying numbers of PUs and cognitive users in Mobile cognitive Radio Networks(MCRNs).Moreover,the cross-layer routing protocol successfully achiev

Thanks to constantly advancing technology, the world is changing rapidly. One such idea that has contributed to the reality of automation is the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT links various non-living objects to the internet and enables them to communicate with their local network to automate processes and simplify people’s lives. The IoT’s potential needs to be completely realised despite the enormous efforts of standards, organisations, coalitions, businesses, academics and others. A number of problems remain. The enabling technology, applications and business models, as well as the social and environmental repercussions, should all be taken into consideration while analysing these difficulties. This article’s emphasis is on unresolved issues and challenges from a technological perspective. The main objective is to provide a thorough evaluation of IoT in terms of energy and security, as well as unresolved problems and obstacles that need further study. Industrial and distribution service problems that belong to combinatorial optimization include vehicle routing with Vehicle Routing Problem. This research builds a framework and implements it in a multi-class optimization model to reduce overfitting and misclassification results caused by unbalanced multiclassification in the influence of the number of 'nodes' on vehicle routes with machine learning. The problem of imbalance in vehicle route classification has been a challenge in the classification process and attracted the attention of a number of researchers. The purpose of the model in general is to gain an understanding of the mechanism in the problem so as to classify the imbalanced vehicle route data based on JNE delivery routes. The solution method that will be used by applying k-nearest neighbor to determine the amount of carrying capacity of the goods will then determine the delivery location point with the vehicle routing problem. So that this model can be a model in determining vehicle routes based on the capacity limit of the number of shipments of goods. © 2023 IEEE.

Collaborative Service Provisioning for UAV-Assisted Mobile Edge Computing

Unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-assisted mobile edge computing(MEC), as a way of coping with delaysensitive and computing-intensive tasks, is considered to be a key technology to solving the challenges of terrestrial MEC networks. In this work, we study the problem of collaborative service provisioning(CSP) for UAV-assisted MEC. Specifically, taking into account the task latency and other resource constraints, this paper investigates how to minimize the total energy consumption of all terrestrial user equipments, by jointly optimizing computing resource allocation, task offloading, UAV trajectory, and service placement. The CSP problem is a non-convex mixed integer nonlinear programming problem, owing to the complex coupling of mixed integral variables and non-convexity of CSP. To address the CSP problem, this paper proposes an alternating optimization-based solution with the convergence guarantee as follows. We iteratively deal with the joint service placement and task offloading subproblem, and UAV movement trajectory subproblem, by branch and bound and successive convex approximation, respectively,while the closed form of the optimal computation resource allocation can be efficiently obtained. Extensive simulations validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm compared to three baselines.

The Smart Power Grid (SPG) is pivotal in orchestrating and managing demand response in contemporary smart cities, leveraging the prowess of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). Within the immersive SPG environment, the ubiquitous deployment of smart meters stands as a testament to their paramount importance in the realm of vigilant monitoring and oversight. These smart meters are installed on high-tension electricity lines and transmit information about electricity outages and other issues to the utility center. To access services from utility centers, smart meters need to communicate securely over a public channel, even though the network itself is insecure. However, potential attacks from adversaries ( Ad) can exploit this communication. Therefore, protecting this communication is of utmost importance. Several privacy-preserving authentication protocols designed for SPG have been introduced in the literature. Nevertheless, a significant number of these protocols exhibit vulnerabilities to diverse security attacks. This article introduces a lightweight and anonymous authentication protocol specifically designed to address these concerns in the SPG environment. Our protocol ensures both security and efficiency, surpassing other comparable protocols in terms of its lightweight nature. By employing both formal and informal analysis, we showcase the robustness of our protocol against significant attacks while remaining lightweight. The proposed protocol provides added security features and incurs 23.8879% lower computation cost than related protocols. Consequently, our protocol is highly suitable for implementation in the SPG system. © 2020 IEEE.

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) have proved to be revolutionary in the development and widespread of educational technology over the past few years. It has been identified that these systems, despite all the benefits, lack interaction and collaboration around learning materials. This paper explores how to leverage learning channels to support interaction and collaboration in MOOC environments. We present the design, implementation, and evaluation details of learning channels in CourseMapper, a MOOC platform which supports collaboration and interaction around learning materials using collaborative Pdf and video annotations. More specifically, we report on the application and results of a human-centered design (HCD) approach used to systematically design learning channels. Three design iterations with five new users in each iteration (N=15) were conducted from an initial user interview to the final design. After the development, user experience with the system was evaluated with end users (N=10) based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The evaluation results show that the introduction of learning channels provides a valuable mechanism to support effective interaction and collaboration in a MOOC environment. © 2022 ACM.

The development of large language models (LLMs) relies heavily on extensive, high-quality datasets. Publicly available datasets focus predominantly on English, leaving other language communities behind. To address this issue, we introduce Community OSCAR, a multilingual dataset initiative designed to address the gap between English and non-English data availability. Through a collective effort, Community OSCAR covers over 150 languages with 46 billion documents, totaling over 345 TiB of data. Initial results indicate that Community OSCAR provides valuable raw data for training LLMs and enhancing the performance of multilingual models. This work aims to contribute to the ongoing advancements in multilingual NLP and to support a more inclusive AI ecosystem by making high-quality, multilingual data more accessible to those working with low-resource languages. ©2024 Association for Computational Linguistics.

Today's society is different from the past, where the speed of the internet is getting more sophisticated, and the existing gadget technology is getting faster, and of course, this is also changing the lifestyle of today's people, which of course almost half of their daily life is spent in front of gadgets. On the one hand, this is undoubtedly very good and supports humans in carrying out their daily life activities, but on the other hand, this raises new problems where humans start to lack time to communicate and socialize with each other and often making them stressed and anxious because they are already tired and do not know how to socialize anymore. This paper begins with a model and implementation of a very simple mobile application that behaves as a social media inspired by *** as a social media for academics. The design of this mobile application is done by using use case diagrams to describe existing processes and class diagrams to describe class relationships. © 2023 IEEE.

Measuring the emotion in words is valuable in that it analyzes emotions through language. However, it is difficult to find such measurements in low-resource languages. In this paper, we proposed a method to expand the affective lexicon by utilizing the context of words. The proposed model predicted the Valence and Arousal values of words using their dictionary definitions. In Study 1, we reviewed previous studies about the Korean affective lexicon and integrated data from these studies. The model was trained to minimize the MSE error between the Valence and Arousal values of the words and their predictions. We then checked the distribution of Valence and Arousal values of Korean vocabulary by applying our model to the Korean dictionary. In Study 2, a new affective lexicon was built to empirically validate our model. We found a negatively biased error pattern on model predictions and discussed why it happened. © 2022 The Author(s).
