A Method for Trust Management in Cloud Computing: Data Coloring by Cloud Watermarking

With the development of Internet technology and human computing, the computing environment has changed dramatically over the last three decades. Cloud computing emerges as a paradigm of Internet computing in which dynamical, scalable and often virtuMized resources are provided as services. With virtualization technology, cloud computing offers diverse services （such as virtual computing, virtual storage, virtual bandwidth, etc.） for the public by means of multi-tenancy mode. Although users are enjoying the capabilities of super-computing and mass storage supplied by cloud computing, cloud security still remains as a hot spot problem, which is in essence the trust management between data owners and storage service providers. In this paper, we propose a data coloring method based on cloud watermarking to recognize and ensure mutual reputations. The experimental results show that the robustness of reverse cloud generator can guarantee users＇ embedded social reputation identifications. Hence, our work provides a reference solution to the critical problem of cloud security.

The lasting evolution of computing environment, software engineering and interaction methods leads to cloud computing. Cloud computing changes the configuration mode of resources on the Internet and all kinds of resources are virtualized and provided as services. Mass participation and online interaction with social annotations become usual in human daily life. People who own similar interests on the Internet may cluster naturally into scalable and boundless communities and collective intelligence will emerge. Human is taken as an intelligent computing factor, and uncertainty becomes a basic property in cloud computing. Virtualization, soft computing and granular computing will become essential features of cloud computing. Compared with the engineering technological problems of IaaS (Infrastructure as a service), PaaS (Platform as a Service) and SaaS (Software as a Service), collective intelligence and uncertain knowledge representation will be more important frontiers in cloud computing for researchers within the community of intelligence science.

Global interaction specifications define the rules that participating components should respect in their interaction with the aim of guaranteeing correct interoperability in the requirement phase. The design model of a particular component gives the communicative behavior from the point of view of that component in the design phase. In this paper, the global interaction specifications are specified by UML sequence diagrams from which we can derive all the specification models of participating components specified by FSM models. We propose a novel conformance relation between the specification model and the design model of a component. The conformance relation distinguishes two kinds of non-determinism in FSM models and guarantees stuck-freeness of systems in which interacting components are individually proved conformant to the same global interaction specifications. © 2011 IEEE.

Research on switching mechanism for MIMO mode of 802.11n wireless networks

MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) is a key physical mechanism in 802.11n wireless networks, in which there are two MIMO modes: spatial multiplexing and spatial diversity. Due to multiple MIMO modes, rate adaptation is required to optimize the combination of MIMO mode and MCS (Modulation Coding Scheme) by adapting different MIMO modes to different wireless network environments. Therefore, MIMO mode switching scheme is an important building block for rate adaptation in 802.11n networks. In this paper, we first proposed three efficient design guidelines for MIMO mode switching. Then we verified them by designing a simple MImo mode Switching Scheme, called MISS, and implementing it in the Atheros-based device driver. The effectiveness of these three design guidelines is evaluated by the comparison of MISS, Zigzag and no switching mechanism through real experiments in indoor environments.

Multiple MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) modes are the salient characteristics of 802.11n wireless networks. An efficient MIMO mode switching scheme is highly desirable for rate adaptation, which can optimize combination of MIMO mode and MCS (Modulation Coding Scheme) to achieve the maximum system throughput. In this paper, we have proposed and verified three design guidelines for the MIMO mode switching through real experiments. Based on these guidelines, we then present a simple and efficient MImo mode Switching Scheme, called MISS, and implement it into the Atheros-based device driver. MISS uses a crossover step-based searching algorithm to find the appropriate MIMO mode for rate adaptation. The efficiency of MISS has been evaluated through real experiments conducted in the indoor environments.

Due to the gradual increasing of spam's harm to the society, the anti-spam technology has been the focus of attention of all sectors. In this paper, we bring forward the Bayesian filter technology based on Anti-Spam Grid, which can realize the cooperation among various servers and comprehensive utilization of grid resources, and ultimately improve the accuracy and efficiency of spam *** analyze the Anti-Spam Grid, design and implement the grid-based Bayesian filter, and experimentally verify the effect of the filtering system. ©2010 IEEE.

It is well-known that the DoubleMinOver classifier as an extendibility of MinOver was developed to provide a maximum margin solution with a bias. But, it can be found that the DoubleMinOver algorithm only classifies the vector pattern and fails to work in the pattern represented with the second-order tensor. In this paper, we propose a novel DoubleMinOver classifier named STDoubleMinOver that can directly classify the second-order tensor pattern. Compared with the existing DoubleMinOver with only one weight w, the proposed STDoubleMinOver induces two weight vectors u and v so as to deal with the second-order tensor. The experiments here have demonstrated that the proposed STDoubleMinOver has a superior classification to the vectorized DoubleMinOver. © 2010 IEEE.

In this paper, we study how to select a high performance end-to-end path in multi-hop cognitive wireless networks. Due to the time-varying spectrums and undetermined activity of primary users, path selection in cognitive wireless networks is much harder than that of traditional wireless networks. To attack this problem, we propose a novel routing metric, called WHAT (Weighted Hop, spectrum-Awareness, and sTability), which takes not only opportunistic spectrum access into account, but also path stability. WHAT synthesizes channel switching frequency, usage of licensed channels, and length of path together to evaluate the overall quality of an end-to-end path. In addition, different from some existing routing metrics, WHAT has two key properties of routing metric: isotonicity and monotonicity. The theoretical analysis and simulation results show that WHAT can improve the network performance (TCP throughput) profoundly and ensure routing protocols operate correctly. ©2010 IEEE.

Fault diagnosis expert system is wide used in the maintenance application fields. And knowledge acquisition is the key technology of expert system development. For the equipment maintenance domain, systems typically require a very long period to acquire knowledge, and knowledge is not necessarily correct. To address this issue, we describe the relationship between rough set theory and rule-based description of equipment failures. Then the exclusive rules, inclusive rules and failure images of equipment are built based on the EMES (Equipment Maintenance Expert System) diagnosis model, and the definition of probability rule is put forward. Next, we present the rule-based automated induction reasoning method and resampling methods. We also introduce automated induction of the rule-based description, which is used in our EMES. Finally, the experimental results show our solution gives a very suitable framework to represent processes of uncertain knowledge extraction. © 2010 IEEE.
